Gypsy the dog also makes you feel welcomed. :) Then I went back to East Coast for a tattoo. It was my first tattoo and the experience was awesome. They really know how to interact with their clients to get you to feel relaxed and comfortable. I told the tattoo artist "I only want one tattoo." He told me, "Yeah, right. You'll be back." And he was right. I went back a few months later. My second tattoo experience was just as amazing! And then I went back for a third! There was a bit of miscommunication during the appointment set-up process, but it all worked out perfectly in the end! East Coast will do their best to work with you and make things right and will make you want to return... even when you initially said, "I only want one tattoo." I will only go to East Coast Tattoos & Body Piercing because their work and customer service are EXCELLENT. And because of Gypsy. And their location is perfect for me. I'll be back. :)

I got my belly button pierced about a week and a half ago (almost 2 weeks now) I went with my…read morefriend and she got her lip pierced as well. she went before me and everything went well. my piercing also went very well. the next day it started to get extremely infected. red, bloody, pus. i decided to give it a few days to settle and then i would take action of it didn't get better. about 2 days after the piercing i was talking with my friend when we realized the piercer never changed gloves after piercing my friends lip. it has been almost 2 weeks and my piercing is so infected i now need heavy antibiotics from the doctor. the pain is unbearable, and getting worse each day.

I already had two piercings with butterfly backs but no one mentioned there is a different kind of back now where you screw a microscopic post into a tiny hole. I had to take them out for an MRI and can't get them back in because I have paralysis in my thumbs and arthritis in my hands. I called to see if they could exchange them for the type I wanted because I can't use these and he got very defensive. He kept telling me he has a client with 4 fingers and only one hand so my disability shouldn't be a problem. If he can overcome his then surely I should overcome mine, he insisted. I felt like I was talking to a child. There was no apology for the miscommunication, no offer to try to reorder them or take them back or even issue some kind of credit. He just kept blaming me, saying I should have asked when I came in wearing butterflies and having no idea these others existed. The bottom line: They don't take an ounce of responsibility for anything and are incredibly rude to someone who spent hundreds of dollars on something she can't use. Telling me I am wrong about my disability and insisting I can pay them to teach me to do it was the icing on the cake. You don't tell a disabled person that their disability isn't real and they can do something they can't if they really wanted to. I would rather pierce my own ear with a rusty nail than set foot in this scam of a place again.

The salesperson denied it again... I told her she was being disrespectful; the way she spoke to me was completely inappropriate and showed a lack of respect for older people. It doesn't matter that she speaks two languages--that counts for nothing if she lacks manners and customer service skills, things she clearly will never learn. It is a shame that a business employs people like that... so I told her I was going elsewhere to make my purchase and left.

She used proper, quality, sterile equipment; provided solid APP aftercare advice; and was really calm, thoughtful, and patient throughout the process. The piercing placements and angles are perfect. My only complaint is that I think the titanium posts she used are way too long, even to accommodate initial swelling. I'll definitely want to get these downsized sooner than the suggested 4-6 month mark, because I suspect these are going to get snagged on everything.

Apparently they are only nice if you don't voice your opinion. Unfortunately you don't get to control what people think of your service which is why it was a 3 star review because I really did think they were nice. We can both be wrong though. Such is life. I really would've liked to give a higher rating. While people here were nice, and the service was fine, unfortunately the piercing was extremely poorly placed. It sat so crookedly in my lip it was rubbing on that piece of skin that connects from the gums between your top front teeth and the lips, and it was excruciatingly painful. It remained extremely sensitive and painful for a month and a half after the piercing because moving my top lip would irritate the piercing. The original mark made for the position was fine but the actual piercing was slightly off to one side. It wasn't cheap to get the piercing and ultimately I took it out because it was so difficult to manage it. There was no infection and I kept it clean which was also excruciating to do because of how far up on the inside of my lip the back of the piercing came out. When it's fully healed I'm not going to have it done here again.
