Out of respect for the stylist, I will not be sharing her name, however I feel I need to share what I have been dealing with so others don't go through the same experience. I went in for a full foil - a process that this stylist had done on my hair before, in addition to balayages and other processes involving bleach. I was at the salon for hours, which was abnormal, and walked out with hair damaged beyond belief after spending about $300. The underneath layers of my hair were melted off, and the rest of my hair was snapping and breaking off in clumps, to the point where I could hardly even comb my hair with a wide tooth comb without losing significant amounts of hair at a time. My roots were uneven, I had a large stripe on the back of my head, other areas had color banding, in addition to the irreversible damage that I had never experienced despite getting bleach processes done regularly for about 8 years. After this visit, I contacted the salon about my concerns, and the owner agreed to look at my hair. She told me it looked fine and that the damage was not as bad as I thought, despite the fact that she herself had never dealt with my hair before. Only after I repeatedly expressed my concerns did she agree to tone my roots, and I walked out for a second time with hair so damaged and nowhere close to what I had requested in my initial appointment. I then went to visit a different salon in the area, where the stylist that helped me informed me that I would likely be dealing with the repercussions of this damage for at least a year, if not longer. At this point, I contacted Allure again to get my money back. Despite getting my money back, I have spent a significant amount at this other salon trying to fix it, yet I still experience a lot of breakage that I never dealt with before my last appointment here. If you are looking to get a blonding or bleaching process here, I strongly suggest to look elsewhere. The damage that was done to my hair here was devastating, and has lasted for months with no end in sight.

I canceled my contract and frantically took a desperate chance and contacted none other than Kristina Makris owner and master makeup artist of Flawless Makeup & Beauty Lounge. I had watched her skills for years when I would go to her studio to get my eyebrows done, however, I never would've thought I could've been lucky enough to have her do my wedding makeup. When I contacted Kristina it was not only THREE months from my wedding and in peak wedding season, but it was over a weekend. Kristina emailed me back the SAME day and said she wanted to help me out and was available. I was stunned! I signed a contract with her and locked my wedding in immediately. Then we booked a trial within a few weeks of signing the contract. My trial was nothing short of perfect. Kristina listened to me and my concerns, she made suggestions and asked questions about the bridal look I wanted, and took a great deal of time with my makeup application. I left feeling the best I ever had about myself and couldn't stop smiling! Before my wedding Kristina was always available to speak to about the wedding day timeline, gave me a spray tan location recommendation, skincare tips and even helped with bridal look suggestions. She was extremely kind, patient and communicative. The day of my wedding Kristina arrived on time, set up all of her makeup and lighting, and set the most calming and peaceful mood for the day. She was in a separate room from my hair stylist and it was so enjoyable to be around Kristina that my normal tense, type-A personality became calm and I was able to be in the moment and enjoy the day. My makeup on my wedding day was nothing short of perfect. I couldn't even believe it was ME when I looked at myself in the mirror. On previous visits, I was quoted one price when booking or during consultation, only to be charged significantly more when I got to the front desk to pay. Repeatedly being surprised with higher-than-expected bills is unacceptable and makes it difficult to trust the pricing they provide. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, last-minute cancellation, and inconsistent pricing make it impossible for me to recommend this salon. They charge premium prices, but the customer service and organization fall far below what I would expect from a high-end salon.
