"Keep on sending your love In the heat of battle…read moreYou've got something that'll save us Save us now!" (Paul McCartney) Nordstrom Rack sells discounted high-end products in a multitude of categories such as men's, women's and children's clothes, shoes, handbags, jewelry, accessories, home and kitchenware, and health and beauty aids. They claim you can save up to 70 percent off regular prices. The store was well stocked and very neat when we shopped today. I didn't find anything I wanted, but my wife did. We'll be attending a Charity Banquet and Ball in a few weeks, and she was looking for a dress to wear. She found a beauty - a nice red Calvin Klein dress stickered at $134 but tagged at just $49.97. That's 62% off. Customer service was great. When we went to the register to pay, we saw a minor stitching defect at the back of the dress. Our cashier arranged for a runner to head back to the rack with us and we found the exact same dress in perfect condition. No complaints at all.

I've been shopping at DSW for years, and overall it's still a solid place to find quality shoes…read morewith a wide selection. On my latest visit, I found exactly what I needed without too much hassle, which is always a win. That said, it feels like the discounts and deals that DSW was once known for have scaled back a bit. It used to be easier to find deeper markdowns or snag something under $50, but now you have to dig a little harder--and even then, the deals aren't quite what they used to be. The clearance section felt more picked over than usual, and the pricing structure can be a little confusing at times. Still, the store was clean, organized, and the staff was helpful. If you know what you're looking for and keep an eye out for rewards or promotions, you can still score a good deal--it just takes a bit more effort than it used to.

To preface, this review is not towards the Plainville store, as they have great customer service…read moreand friendly staff! However, I tried using a sale discount online about a month ago, but it excluded ASICS. I find it odd a shoe store would exclude a brand, but that's ok. ASICS are the most comfortable to me considering I have a heel spur, and one foot that had surgery. Just to offer my opinion to consider including ASICS, I sent a message to their customer service via email. The following day, I received a nice response from Yelena, acknowledging my inquiry and to please send them the pair I was interested in, along with my size and they would be happy to honor the sale. A few days later I replied along with a screenshot and the size. I reached out twice over the next couple of weeks and never received a response. I then sent a regular letter via mail requesting feedback. Zero response. I wasn't looking for exceptions to begin with, but why offer if you aren't going to back it up? I'm not sure how you simply ignore a customer, but that appears to have taken place here.
