We haven't attended one of her classes, but on Saturdays you can learn how to paint furniture (shabby chic style), and you leave with the piece you worked on. He went above and beyond to take care of her. He saw she had difficulty getting out of the chair and got her a cushion to make it easier for her to get up. He suggested shoes, got her peds since she doesn't wear socks, put them on her scary feet. He went above and beyond to help her. Although she didn't find any shoes I wouldn't hesitate to go back there again if Jason was there to help. Footprints is lucky to have an employee like him! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

It's kind of off the beaten path so I hope they get more traffic. It's a cute store and they have a nice selection of shoes for kids. I found a nice pair of new balance sneakers for my daughter as well as socks, a winter hat and gloves. My mom wanted to check out their Clarks selection. I didn't look around too much but would recommend checking them out if on the turnpike. Service was friendly and prices for the items I looked at were reasonable.

They sell plants and flowers, but I didn't pay attention to that aspect of their operations. Cold Spring sells some of their own produce, products from other CT Farms and/or Orchards, Cold Spring branded products such as salsa, and other area products such as bread from a local bakery. I bought green cabbage, peaches, celery and salsa. Everything seemed appropriate quality for seasonal CT produce. The produce I didn't buy also looked good and represented what's in season pretty well. I will definitely go back for in season produce since I live in the area. This is an observation as opposed to a criticism. The reason I'm giving Cold Brook 4 Stars rather than 5 Stars relates to the extent of their offerings compared to another Farm Stand I frequently visit that's a bit farther away. That Farm Stand has a wide range of partnerships with high end CT businesses and they have things like high quality bagels, cheeses, pies, cupcakes, ice cream sandwiches, etc. That Farm Stand also has a wider range of canned goods, meats, and dairy products etc. I would travel farther to a Farm Stand like that because there are more products that interest me. Cold Spring will be the place I go for convenience when I want in season produce for a few days.

As they price individually and in sets, you may end up bringing home more plants than planned, but this is a good spot to get it all started. We now have a glorious set of tomatoes in progress, and now a couple extra tomato planters. The double decker wagons all over also help you take home more. The little farm store, extra colorful with its murals, has honey, maple syrup, salsa, and maybe more on down the season. It's neat to see start and end of season at the checkout, and the staff was kind. Thankfully there is extra parking is on both sides of the farm store, in case you're driving East, just look out for wagon traffic on your way through each greenhouse.

Each vendor has a cute little setup, which is nice for browsing, but the pricing? Definitely not flea market pricing. As a reseller, I'm always on the hunt for deals, and there just wasn't any room here. Most items were priced at full retail--or even higher in some cases--which kind of defeats the purpose. Yes, some of the stuff is old, used, and vintage-adjacent, but nothing rare enough to justify the markup. If you're just looking for a weekend wander or want a quirky spot to kill time, it's fine. But if you're a picker, collector, or someone who knows the value of what you're looking at... this probably isn't your gold mine. Personally, I won't be rushing back.

I have been to many consignment shops across the region and Consignment Originals in Rocky Hill is by far one of my favorites. The staff are amazing and I mean every one of them. The managers at this store consistently go above and beyond. On more than one occasion they had remembered items I was hunting for and when they saw me come in they let me know what I was looking for had come in. I am not alone with this experience; some of the folks I work with had mentioned some of the same experiences when we were chatting about the store. I wish owners of other consignment shops could spend a day shadowing the staff at the Rocky Hill location, because there is so much retail and "public relations" expertise that could be gained from the staff at Rocky Hill. The manager at this store should be proud. In addition to the friendly atmosphere, there are great sales, high end clothing and quality furniture. The store is always sized and organized as well. Lisa and Bea were just recently super helpful with a heavy piece of furniture we purchased. Assisted us cleaning it off and with moving it and making the transaction as easy as possible. In addition, it is a COVID safe environment; they allow back door drop offs if you are concerned, very clean! That's 62% off. Customer service was great. When we went to the register to pay, we saw a minor stitching defect at the back of the dress. Our cashier arranged for a runner to head back to the rack with us and we found the exact same dress in perfect condition. No complaints at all.

They also gave the impression they were better than those shopping there. Really, after all they are just sales clerks. Carter's used to stand for more than just clothing, it used to also stand for the personal attention as well. Employees like that usually find themselves terminated, but at the very least should not work together if that's what they present for customer service when they do.

The store manager, Susan Jordon, was so upbeat, energetic, friendly, and made my shopping experience one of the best I've had in a very, very long time. I came in to return an order of 4 pants I purcahsed online as a first time customer at J.Jill, I wasn't sure what size to order. Susan simply explained that I was ordering way too big and helped me find the perfect work pant for my new job. She set me up comfortably in a fitting room and brought me endless options to try - taking all the guesswork out of shopping, she picked out items that she thought would fit me well. Once we found the perfect fit, she found the pant in every color they had and went above & beyond to find me the only black pair left in a back stock room (double checking the computer inventory one last time before checking out). She was so friendly & kind - she was a complete joy to shop with. You don't run into this level of customer service at most retail stores. We entered the store in the middle of the day, the shop was empty but we were greeted immediately by an associate. A few people came in after us, but overall I thought it was still slow for a Monday. The salesman came by to check on us a few times, recommend a few shoes and explain the availability of a wide dress shoe size according to brand. The shoes were neatly arranged; I was able to find what I was looking for quickly. The clearance section for my size had good stock. Usually my clearance section has small stock or a limited number of shoes there, but this time I had as many as the other clearance sizes had. I narrowed down my hunt and had a generous amount of time trying the shoes on. Best of all, their stock of Lifestride shoes was excellent! I found some styles that were sold out at the other Famous Footwears. Upon check out, my shoes were much cheaper than I had thought (they were clearance but rang up for about half the price!) I had a great time shopping here (no lines, good service), and was impressed that the associate was the only worker I saw in the shop (perhaps someone was doing inventory in the back?). Be a Famous Footwear member and get coupons to apply to your purchase (download the app, it's useful!) I had a 15% offer which I used. Once again, Famous Footwear came through for me. I generally have a hate/love/hate relationship with shoes. Today it was love! LOL.
