Don't walk into this place thinking they are going to teach you anything, it's not like that at all. Feeling very enthusiastic about joining CKO, turned into feeling bummed out / and regretful after the experience. Instead of feeling good about myself I felt frustrated, asking for help doesnt mean you get help. Not everyone is shown technique, or skill. Not sure how others feel, but for me I just couldnt keep up, could not hear anything instructor would say, music so loud its impossible , nor could you see instructor . Not like the inspiring ad's for them, I felt bad about my self and frustrated each time I left class. I injured myself, my foot and my wrist ( which I own ) . There are no start up classes that actually teach you. So be very careful when you join, its super expensive, and you will lose your money if you find you cant do it. They Took advantage of my injury and fear to return, they said the franchise gives you a penalty to cancel!!!! BS if you want to do the right thing, especially when someone gets hurt in your studio , not them "$$$$$$$$$$$$" all about that! read more

Addicted to these classes! Like many other reviewers have pointed out, the instructors are great at keeping the classes different and interesting each time. Everyone is super helpful and welcoming. Great full body workout! My only bummer is the instructor Tommy's music- I feel super petty even mentioning it, but I feel like music is a huge part of the motivation in classes like this. Upbeat music with good tempos keep me focused on keeping a good rhythm in my movements. I've had classes with a few different instructors now and his music is consistently just all over, from a really slow song to random techno to rock, none of the tempos are consistent or thoughtfully put together. He's really nice and a great instructor but the music kills meeeeee :X ! read more

Addicted isn't even the word to describe the CKO experience. I went to their 30-45 min cross-fit class before the traditional 8pm kickboxing and it was absolutely amazing. My body is aching and hurting even as I type this but I cannot wait to go back. CKO is rather pricey but you do have unlimited access to their classes and when you see different instructors, it doesn't feel repetitive. For a student like myself, it's worth saving up money for every month. A great workout. Tell your friends, they encourage prospective new members to take advantage of the 2 free classes they offer. read more

CKO Westerleigh is great. I've been a member here for about 6 months now, and I can attest that their workouts are super intense. Their workouts really helped me when I was doing the Spartan Race this past week. The facility is new so it's super clean and the instructors are very friendly and helpful. They really get to know you and seem to be genuinely interested in helping you fitness wise as well as technique-wise with kickboxing. This is a wonderful place for both beginners and experienced kickboxers. I highly recommend joining their program!!! read more

Out of all of the locations in Staten Island I feel like this is the best one. I came her for a trial class The space is larger and well lit and you don't feel overly agitated by the loud music or too close to another person. The class is very intense and it put me to work. I highly recommend it if you're willing to pay $60+ monthly. read more

I joined this CKO 3 months ago and I have been addicted since my first class. I have become stronger and lost 15 pounds so far. The instructors are amazing and each workout is unique so I am constantly challenged. The owner and management for the gym is also really nice and always happy to help. The facility is really clean and well maintained. For 60 minutes, you will be pushed, motivated and challenged and feel energized and accomplished at the end. The membership allows unlimited access to their kickboxing classes as well as the cross training classes. I can't recommend this location enough. read more

Signed up online for a free trial class and I was hooooked!!! This is not your everyday cardiokickboxing class. This is an experience in survival! You have your own heavy bag and boxing gloves, and amazing trainers guide you through the hour long, boot camp like adventure. The staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful. You are guided through the workout with a trainer who pushes you more than you would push yourself (we all need it), but you go at your own pace. All fitness levels can benefit here. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! I was never rushing to the gym the way I rush to this place! It is a tough workout, and you sweat like never before but you feel completely bad ass when you realize it's over and you made it though!! If you go regularly and your body doesn't change, it don't want to. I started going 1x a week, then 2x, and this weekend I plan to pick up a 3rd class! It's definitely addicting. LOVE CKO!!! Westerleigh CKO is the best! It is such a comfortable, friendly, and non intimidating place to work out. The kickboxing classes are killer in a good way. All of the trainers push you, motivate you, and help you with your form for the moves that are challenging. It's not just the trainers who push you, the members push you and give you motivation when you don't think another push up or burpee is possible. I am getting stronger as well as toned in such a short amount of time. I feel that's due to the cross training classes that are now being offered. I love them! It's such a nice change up to working the bags. The machines and weights seem intimidating, but the trainers really show you what to do and correct your form if needed. The battle ropes, kettle bells, trx ropes, bosu ball, medicine balls, machines and weights are used during cross training. I love going to CKO Westerleigh! There are not enough stars to say just how amazing this place is! I've been a member since they opened their doors almost two years ago and it was the best decision of my life! The space is great, large enough for a good amount of bags- super clean- and an array of class times that fit all schedules. The instructors are the best part! They are extremely supportive of their members and know what they are doing to give you the best workout. There are no egos here- you go at your own pace at your own ability level and there is always someone around if you need some help. I can't say anything negative about this place. clean, spacious, entertaining. this is the perfect work out for a mom that has been home getting fat for 3 years now since having my baby. the gym is just to boring. this is a quick workout where you feel the burn. I love it. the first class I was so sore I had to crawl out of my bed in pain, but after two weeks I got use to it. this is a very nice center with lots of instructors. I signed up for 3 months but I can see myself coming here forever. read more

I never took the time out to write a review before because it was never worth it for me. I've been in the fitness industry all my life and sometimes you just need to change it up. Well, what a change. Seriously. I love the idea that you have to be there at a certain time and the motivation in the room will wake you right out of any tired period your going through. It's a rush. There are days I'm exhausted, walk in that room and its on lol You will love it and the results. It's a full body workout... punching, kicking the bag, push ups, burpees, crunches, mountain climbers, music and an instructor motivating you through the entirety of the class. It's addicting, fun, relief of major amounts of stress (trust me) Results show immediately. I recommend taking before and after shots because if you stick with this and really really do it, it will show, and the time and dedication will be well worth it. read more
