Yesterday I booked myself an intro class at this location and wasn't sure what to expect. What I…read moredidn't expect was how this "free" class, wasn't actually free at all, leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Let me break it down. The class is "free" but you need to pay a non-refundable $10 to secure your spot. I asked over the phone if I was confirming I was going to be there, why did I have to pay? Again, a formality. I also asked to pay on the day of, but was discouraged saying that if the class was booked up, they would need to reschedule my intro class. A verbal "yes, I will be there" is of no value here. So, $10 was charged to my credit card. I arrived, with my grip socks that I brought from the last time I went to Space Club with my son, but was told the grips weren't good enough, and had to buy socks there. $18 later, I had them for the "free" class which was now costing me $28 to be at. Oh, and the class wasn't booked up; maybe 6 spots remained empty. The space is clean, bright, and well maintained. There's cubes to store your stuff when you walk in as well as inside the studio. The instructor was nice, clear, and professional - had no issues with that. Again, what I wasn't a fan of was how immediately after the class, they pitch all their packages for you. As a new client, they would waive a registration fee of $149 (one time fee) if I signed up for $239/month for up to 8 classes. The $149 is a separate charge. Drop-in classes without a package are $45. They really try to get you to commit before you head out the door, but for me personally, I wouldn't ever be able to do 8 classes a month; I probably couldn't even do 4 classes. This might work out for others, but in terms of costs and frequency, it didn't make sense for me.

Took the TRX & Stretch class…read more It was a small class of 6 people. We were split up into 2 groups. Half used the TRX Machine, half did bodyweight exercises, constantly switching throughout the class. The instructor was friendly as soon as I walked in, but the class was a little confusing. Because we kept switching groups, it was hard to remember what the bodyweight group exercise was when we were previously just the TRX group, so there were times when we would just look at each other in confusion, not completely sure if we were doing the exercise correctly. It was a small class though, so we did get corrected occasionally on our form. This past month, I've been taking a few fitness classes in different studios and this was one of the most rigorous. The exercises using the TRX were harder to do than the bodyweight or floor exercises we did. The studio is quite average in size. There's 4 TRX machines and 4 punching bags. There's a long mirror on the wall for you to check out your form while you're doing the class. There's also a shower area and a bathroom, but they're separated through rooms. I didn't see any lockers in the studio. We just put our coats to the side where the rest of the other equipment were. I would really rate this studio a 3.5 but given the friendliness of the instructor and how sore I felt afterwards, I just rounded up.

They also offer personal training which my friend takes and loves. The barre class was my favorite - highly recommend checking them out!

I have taken a few classes at this studio, and I really enjoy it. I do not live in town, but I am…read moreoften in the area shopping or going to the beach, so I appreciate that this studio is convenient for me. I have taken a barre class, Pilates, and barrelattes, which is a mix of the two. I recently took their barre crawl class two days ago. I am a member of ClassPass, so I paid $25 for the class. I arrived 10 minutes early. As soon as you walk in, they take your name and ask what size t-shirt you want. The t-shirt was so cute. It said "Meet Me at the barre," and it was a gray tank top with white lettering. I thought it would look very cute, but I didn't put it on because I like to wash everything before wearing it. Almost everyone else put on their t-shirts right away, except for about three other women. They had a choice of small, medium, or large. The first part of the evening was the barre class. Everyone got their shirts and went in for class. A woman with blonde hair helped me. She could be one of the owners or instructors, I'm not sure, but she was extremely helpful. She gave me a resistance band and a ball and helped me get the correct form. I really appreciated that because she noticed I was doing one exercise incorrectly, and she explained that it was why my back was hurting. The class was challenging. I would rate it about an eight out of ten, but I liked it a lot and definitely plan to come back. Everyone in the class was friendly. I don't usually talk to people in exercise classes because I'm still trying to build a regular habit, so I didn't know everyone, but the atmosphere was very welcoming. Part of the evening included little sample cups of smoothies. There were three different types and some snacks, which were nice. After class, everyone went over to the bar in the same shopping center, but I went home. Overall, I loved it. I've been to this studio a couple of times, and every time I enjoy the class. The instructors are very kind, answer any questions, and help you work on your form. I definitely recommend this studio. I almost forgot: After the workout, I saw many women wiping off their workout ball with hydrogen peroxide spray. So, this was a courteous and healthy gesture to do for the next guests. I look forward to my next class there!
