I was really surprised - and in a GOOD way! I've never done business with this place before, but I *absolutely* will go back to them in the future AND I will also refer people to them! In fact, I joined Yelp today just so that I could write this review. I am a "do it yourself" type of guy, and I needed to dis-assemble two lock mechanisms - but I don't have the special tool (and knowledge) to do it. So I brought them in to this shop (CK Lock) and asked if they would just pop it apart for me. It took all of maybe 4-5 minutes, and it was done. The real surprise is that when I asked how much $$$, they just said "no charge". I think that says a lot about their character and business practices. It seems that most businesses try to take advantage of people and try to squeeze every nickel they can out of customers, so this was an incredibly refreshing experience. Definitely an "old school" way of doing business, which really does pay off in the long term by building good faith amongst the community and customers. So my dad is actually a locksmith, and for whatever reason he was struggling to re-key a padlock! It was a case of an emergency because he was changing the locks throughout the office where I work and all the keys work for the same door and lock, including the padlock that is used to lock our studio which is full of hundreds of thousands of dollars of photography gear and software. In a state of panic I called every locksmith in the area in which they said that they were busy or could not take care of that lock. Steve runs the office in a courteous, friendly, and efficient manner. Isaac was the professional who came to my house. He showed up at the exact moment my appointment was scheduled. Needed to have my SMART KEY programmed for my 2012 Ford Edge Sport and let me say that after many disappointments from various Auto Locksmiths around the westside, these guys made my day. Great service!!! Lost my whole key ring and I was panicking about my car key. I had called about 10 different places and got quotes for $300+. I finally called ck locks and Danny answered the phone. He was very professional and friendly. He quoted me $150! I decided to go ahead with the service and Danny himself arrived about ten minutes later. I had a my car key break and because it is a newer car the dealer wanted 69.99. I called all over the Valley and no one was willing to find the blank to duplicate it.
