After a lot of research and calling around, we came here for a replacement keyless remote key fob for our Chevy Malibu. They quoted $65 (including programming), which was half the cost the local dealership quoted. After they looked at our two dying remotes, they told us they could replace the worn-out buttons and casings (and solder a broken piece) for only $25 each. The gentlemen (father and son, I think), were courteous, helpful and quick. They have a large selection of remotes, so they will likely have what you need. And, of course, they do keys too. They only accept cash. Note: they are not visible from Van Nuys Blvd. When looking for this place, enter the parking lot behind Bank of America. i desperately needed a key for my 2000 lexus as both of my spares' shells were glued shut after multiple times of cracking and the batteries were out. Therefore the remotes were dead and i wasn't able to automatically unlock, lock, pop the trunk, turn off the headlights with two taps of the remote, etc. (i know... the struggle right?). i reached out to 10 locksmiths in the area on yelp and most of them got back to me instantly. 2 even called/texted me right away and asked me to send pics of both spares to see which one we could salvage. I went with panorama lock & key because the quote was the cheapest out of all ($45). A few total key replacement (key cut, shell, and remote) quotes i received were from $450-$50. The lexus dealership quoted me at $200, and the $80-$450 quotes were from locksmiths who would actually meet me wherever the car was. another reason i went with panorama lock & key is because i grew up in the area and while bryan worked on my key, i went grocery shopping and ate filipino food =P i brought both spares and bryan investigated and determined that i needed a whole new key- remote, shell and key cut. i left my car parked behind their little hut and when i came back 30 mins later the key was done and programmed. I've been coming to this place for years... granted only a handful of times bc honestly, how often do you need to get keys copied? on Monday, unexpectedly I had to get the locks on my door changed and only received one copy. checking yelp I knew they closed @ 6pm though it was 6:15, I stopped by bc I was driving right across the street. I became hopeful when I saw the lights were on in the kiosk... I saw that the owner was making copies of a customer's keys when I rushed over and asked him if he could do mine as well... as he was making my copies, I asked, "don't you guys close at 6?" he replies with a smile, "yes but it's my job if somebody wants keys." I been back for the basic stuff but most recently they made keys for our office filing cabinets which we lost. I gave them the code on the lock they made the keys. One fit and worked. I lost my key for my Honda Accord. The car has an excellent alarm system that uses a (fob) remote to turn the alarm on and off, plus lock the doors -- and when locked, the engine will start but the transmission will not engage. It's almost too good. Anyway, the best deal I could get to replace the key and the fob (remote) was $375. Ouch! Finally found Panorama Lock and Key. Wow!!! Double Wow !!! These guys quoted me $75. Ended up charging me $60. Did it in 20 minutes. (The Honda dealership said I would need to leave my car overnight.) I had an extra key that didn't work and an extra fob. Panorama had the latest high tech instruments to bring these back to life. Guys were friendly and fun. Oh. Although the alarm in my car was close to Honda's original factory equipment, it was actually an aftermarket (Passport 2000) device. You really had to know what you were doing. These guys really knew what they were doing. Hint: It helps to have the correct name of your aftermarket equipment but I don't think it's essential. Astonishing experience. I went to get a fairly unusual car key duplicated, and this place really lives up to its great reputation! I had had a problem with the key getting stuck in the ignition, and the tech guy (I forgot to ask his name!) went to my car to try out the new key with me, and sprayed some WD40 in the key hole of both the ignition and the door. Wow this place is great! I broke my car key and went to the dealer to get it replaced but they wanted to charge so much for a new key (because they had to connect the chip to the car, etc). I came here instead and they were able to give me a new car key and connect it to my car for much less. I appreciate that they don't try to rip you off. The guy was the one who helped me out.
