We picked up our order for four that was ready when promised (good service) and took it home. The pasta was good, the salad and dressing were very good, and the portions were a fair size for the money. The baked mostaccioli was tasty, however, the meatballs we ordered (and paid for) were missing. By that time we were too hungry and far away to go back. Always got the house salad, today it wasn't the same as it used to be! it basically was lettuce drowning in dressing, 2 olives a peice if tomato, no cheese on top, been coming here for years for the salad. Im guessing the reason for the name change is different owners, i will never go back!!! but i will miss the place it used to be. read more

Great food and great service. First time we've dined here and it didn't disappoint. The portions are huge and if you order an appetizer and salad like we did, you will be bringing home leftovers. My wife and I started off with an order of calamari and it awesome. It was served on a bed of flash fried spinach. Then we split the house salad with the creamy Italian dressing. I'm not a salad guy, but that dressing was amazing and didn't disappoint. For our entrees, the wife got baked mostaccioli and meatballs and I got the chicken carbonara with cavatelli noodles in a pink sauce. We both brought home half of our pastas. They are great! Food is amazing as well as the staff! I ordered a sandwich but it was different than I thought (completely my fault they told me what was in it) I ended up not liking it. They let me code something different at no charge. The manager came up and asked me if I liked the second ok! They are so sweet and their food is delicious and fresh. I def recommend them read more

I went here for the first time with some friends. I ordered the Chicken Agee. When it arrived the chicken breast was a thin processed breaded piece of meat with only a few pieces of prosciutto. I had heard how good the food was from several people. Yes, the salad was good. But the rest of the meal was not worth the price. A real chicken breast needs to be used instead of the thin processed meat that was served. read more

Cream Sauce Heaven! If you like white cream sauce this is the place to go, almost every pasta dish has cream sauce. I've never seen a restaurant that has almost all of their pasta dishes covered with cream sauce, this place needs more variety in their pasta offerings. Formally Madison's cafe. Food was fair based off the server recommendation. Stir fry good with seafood. Husband got chicken agree (sp) sauce was very liquidly and had no taste. If you pay by credit card they charge a fee. We see no posted signage informing customers. Wait staff seemed overworked. Not very attentive too many tables. read more

We had reserved CJ's party room for an estimated 20 to 30 people...and 50 showed up! I can't believe how well the entire staff rolled with it and kept our entire party served and fed with some of the most amazing food. My husband and I have been coming to Madisons now CJs for years. The food is always delicious. We love the combination salad and our favorite pastas are the chicken bacon carbonarra and the baked mostaccioli. We love sitting in the bar area we always meet such nice people and we always have wonderful service from Olivia. She always remembers what we get and is very attentive. So we booked my mother-in-law's 75 birthday. We have been in contact with CJ's for a while now, updating them with information and checking to make sure everything was in order. Yesterday, we called them to finalize everything and lo and behold? They didn't have us booked even though every time we've been calling them they told us everything was in order. You can imagine having all of the people invited plus a photographer booked this was a disastrous thing to hear. The manager of this place is a complete asshole. Not ONCE did he apologize. In fact, on the phone he couldn't sound more bored with their mistake. He offered to set-up a table for us in the restaurant instead of the event room THEY double booked with a baby shower. I remember when this place was Maddison's and they booked a wedding party for a couple. When they found out the couple were lesbians, they cancelled the booking. Don't give these people your business. By changing the name to CJ's, they are just putting lipstick on a pig. read more

I would have given more stars of we had a server that was friendly. The zucchini appetizer was awesome! The Combination salad was excellent. The beer was good nice & cold. Our Seafood Linguini was a disappointment. No garlic flavor or flavor at all & 3 medium sized shrimp and a few tablespoons of baby scallops. Mostly flavorless noodles(never again). It is worth trying other food because most was delicious. Our server was either sad or just didn't like people. She came up and said "What do you want to drink" No hi, hello, no smile. I thought maybe she's shy. Not one smile until she picked up the check from us and it was forced. My husband and I are looking for a regular place to eat weekly, but I'll need to know the nights Olivia works so we don't come in then. Other servers were friendly and talking to us in the bar area. Not sure what her deal is? I have been a restaurant manager, bartender & server for many years and you need to have fun with your customers, enjoy people, she does not!!
