This is my second time working with Green Vista, and I continue to be impressed with their service…read more What I really appreciate is how honest and upfront they are. When evaluating my trees, they clearly explained which ones needed deadwood removal and which ones were fine at the time. They also had to remove one tree from my front yard, and they took the time to explain in detail why removal was necessary. I recently worked with Rodney, and he was great about discussing the details of the job and explaining his recommendations. He is obviously very knowledgeable about trees and clearly cares deeply about his work. I especially appreciated that he was there with the crew on the day they removed the deadwood and walked me through what they were doing. Of all the companies I contacted, Green Vista also seemed to have the most appropriate equipment for the job. Several other companies weren't confident they could get their lift into my backyard. Green Vista was able to do it, and they laid down appropriate tracking and ground protection to make sure there was no damage to my lawn. In one case, I found two dead branches that weren't visible from my side of the property. Rodney and the team came back quickly and took care of them, which I really appreciated. I know I'll be using Green Vista again in the future. Their pricing is excellent considering they have a certified arborist involved, and most importantly, they genuinely seem to care about the health of the trees rather than trying to upsell you. Highly recommended.

Early Wednesday morning they had an arborist at the house, dispatched a large crew and a massive crane. They spent 7 hours carefully removing the tree, lifting huge pieces of it over our neighbor's house (thank you, good neighbors!), ground the small and medium branches, and stacked the very large trunk sections on the street. On Thursday they picked up all of the large sections and hauled them away. By 5pm the tree was gone and contractors were able to start doing a temporary repair of the large holes in our garage roof. This was a traumatic experience that was totally unexpected. This was a seemingly healthy tree that just tipped over without warning. Anyone can imagine how it feels to have a huge tree laying on your house. My Mister and I broke out our trusty chainsaw and went to work. I could not believe how much wood and brush we stacked! Alas, we don't have a truck. So, it would have to sit there until we could think of something. The next day a business card was on our screen door. DEE's Tree Removal Service...blah, blah, blah,...free estimates! So, I called and Duane said he would be over in 3 hours. 2 1/2 hours later he called back to say he was running about a 1/2 hour late leaving DC. No problem! I really appreciated that head's up. He arrived and gave me a fabulous estimate to haul my crap away. He then said, "You really need to have that tree taken down." Yea, I know. I just couldn't afford the $3,500 that I was previously quoted. "$3,500! I can do it for waaay less." However, I was between gigs at the time, so I just had him haul away the stack. Cut to two months later: The aftermath of another storm. My Mister broke out the chainsaw and again went to cutting fallen limbs and gathering brush. The decision was made with a heavy heart to have our beloved 100 year old Catalpa cut down. I didn't need to Yelp it, I still had DEE's card.
