I drove the vehicle to safety and called AAMCO Seaford for an appointment to have the problem checked. I dollied the GMC to the shop the following day and left it for a diagnosis and estimate. The following work day, I received a call from the technician who explained the three issues he found and his repair recommendations. He said that I would receive another call estimating the repairs. I did receive the call shortly thereafter and gave verbal authorization to do the work. I was called two days later and told the vehicle was ready to pick up. The invoice was exactly the amount quoted and the vehicle performed flawlessly. I am extremely satisfied with AAMCO Seaford, with the shop, staff, honesty and work integrity. I highly recommend this business and give it the highest rating. I don't believe that I would have been charged so little from competing shops, and chose to have the vehicle dollied from Salisbury, Maryland to Seaford, Delware, over 30-miles North. I'm glad that I made the right decision!

A neighbor recommended Reed's Auto Repair. It's less than 10 minutes from my home so I decided to give them a try. I made an appointment for the following week. I waited @ the shop for 45 minutes while the work was being done. The bill came to $123.85 which I thought was a little high considering I had been taking it to my local dealership in Nevada since day 1 and they charged me 85.00 for the same service and using synthetic oil. I called Reed's last week and made another appointment (reluctantly) but this time it was for an oil change only. I waited again for the service to be completed and John came out with the bill that totaled $162.79. I was shocked I asked him why it was so expensive for just an oil change and his response was " it is the damn Chinese raising prices" I had given him my debit card and the transaction went through before I could change my mind. I called Advance Auto store and they sell it for 11.99 per quart. My car uses 5.5 quarts. John charged me $98.89. 5.5 quarts @11.99 = $65.94. I'm sure any auto repair shop get oil at a discount too. On top of that he charged me 44.00 for labor as well! The only thing he didn't screw me on was the oil filter for 19.90. Of course I checked with a few other neighbors an they said they get the same synthetic oil change at a shop just down the street in the other direction and it costs them 69.00. And it's not a Valvoline quick lube. I don't know if it's because of where I live that I can afford these prices but it's just a shame he can do this and keep a customer base. I'm never going back because I'm FIRE TRUCKING PISSED OFF that I let this happen to me!!!

To make up for that hassle and honestly what kept our business with him was that he didn't charge for the attempted repairs and picked up the towing cost to take it to a dealer. We've taken other vehicles there and the routine maintenance has been good on them. Like any other auto repair shop you should make sure the issue has been fixed and not just assume it has. Though he missed the somewhat obvious initial problem, Storm (the owner) is about as trustworthy as they come in the maintenance business and will work hard to fix your vehicle without cheating you out of money. Bought two tires from him and he determined the correct size. He knew it was a 4 wheel drive vehicle and that I was going to return for two more matching tires for the front within the coming months. When I returned just about 6 weeks later to buy the matching two tires (note that all 4 tires must be of identical size in order to use the vehicle in 4 wheel drive), when he put the matching 2 on the front, the tires could not turn without seriously hitting the wheel opening on the vehicle. It turned out that what he had sold me originally was way oversized for my Chevy Silverado. When I complained to the manager that what he sold me before was obviously the wrong size and showed him my receipt, he still claimed ridiculously that the tires were the right size. His own employees had said to me just a few minutes before that I had obviously been sold the wrong size tires. He (Bill the manager) then ordered me off this property and said I was then trespassing. Can you even imagine?!? I intend to file a lawsuit against this outfit. There are many honest tire shops in the area and I suggest any one of them instead. Do not buy from this place...worst experience ever!!!

So, attended the end of the summer cruise-in in Ocean City Oct 2025. Pulled into town with my car…read moretrailer and 2007 Dodge 3500. While venturing out the next day the truck started pulling to the right hard and grinding noises came from the front right wheel. I figured the wheel bearing was coming apart. I had the driver side bearing replaced 2 years ago, and in hind-sight should have done both. That being said, I broke down on a Sunday visiting a friend in Georgetown DE. I looked on line sitting on the side of the road and D&D Diesel came up waiting for the tow truck. I needed a truck shop not a car repair shop, so told the tow truck driver to drop my one ton off at D&D(They had 5 stars on several search engines). On Monday I called them and told them what I suspected was wrong. I told them I'm in town for 5 days for the cruise-in and needed the truck fixed in the next 4 days if they could fit me in. With no hope of them getting to it anytime soon, I made plans to rent a car to drive the family back to Louisville KY at the end of the week, then fly back in a week or two to rescue my truck and trailer. Patrick fit me in that day and had the truck repaired(wheel bearing and ABS sensor) the next day. The cost was what I paid two years ago for the other bearing. If you're a local or a visitor that has car problems, Patrick and D&D is the place to go. As a hot-rod builder, D&D is top shelf and did me a solid by fitting me in immediately.
