A neighbor recommended Reed's Auto Repair. It's less than 10 minutes from my home so I decided to give them a try. I made an appointment for the following week. I waited @ the shop for 45 minutes while the work was being done. The bill came to $123.85 which I thought was a little high considering I had been taking it to my local dealership in Nevada since day 1 and they charged me 85.00 for the same service and using synthetic oil. I called Reed's last week and made another appointment (reluctantly) but this time it was for an oil change only. I waited again for the service to be completed and John came out with the bill that totaled $162.79. I was shocked I asked him why it was so expensive for just an oil change and his response was " it is the damn Chinese raising prices" I had given him my debit card and the transaction went through before I could change my mind. I called Advance Auto store and they sell it for 11.99 per quart. My car uses 5.5 quarts. John charged me $98.89. 5.5 quarts @11.99 = $65.94. I'm sure any auto repair shop get oil at a discount too. On top of that he charged me 44.00 for labor as well! The only thing he didn't screw me on was the oil filter for 19.90. Of course I checked with a few other neighbors an they said they get the same synthetic oil change at a shop just down the street in the other direction and it costs them 69.00. And it's not a Valvoline quick lube. I don't know if it's because of where I live that I can afford these prices but it's just a shame he can do this and keep a customer base. I'm never going back because I'm FIRE TRUCKING PISSED OFF that I let this happen to me!!!

Our vehicle had bad brake lines that were rusted through in spots. Unfortunately he missed the area…read morewhere the main problem was and we had to point it out the following day. He spent most of the next day attempting to put new brake lines on but was not able to complete it because of a special component. To make up for that hassle and honestly what kept our business with him was that he didn't charge for the attempted repairs and picked up the towing cost to take it to a dealer. We've taken other vehicles there and the routine maintenance has been good on them. Like any other auto repair shop you should make sure the issue has been fixed and not just assume it has. Though he missed the somewhat obvious initial problem, Storm (the owner) is about as trustworthy as they come in the maintenance business and will work hard to fix your vehicle without cheating you out of money. We would recommend him.

I drove the vehicle to safety and called AAMCO Seaford for an appointment to have the problem checked. I dollied the GMC to the shop the following day and left it for a diagnosis and estimate. The following work day, I received a call from the technician who explained the three issues he found and his repair recommendations. He said that I would receive another call estimating the repairs. I did receive the call shortly thereafter and gave verbal authorization to do the work. I was called two days later and told the vehicle was ready to pick up. The invoice was exactly the amount quoted and the vehicle performed flawlessly. I am extremely satisfied with AAMCO Seaford, with the shop, staff, honesty and work integrity. I highly recommend this business and give it the highest rating. I don't believe that I would have been charged so little from competing shops, and chose to have the vehicle dollied from Salisbury, Maryland to Seaford, Delware, over 30-miles North. The next day was called that oil change was done and suggested that we may want the brakes done as they were at 20%. The noise was a wheel bearing and that was going. I gave approval to do all the work and that I knew that we might as well do the right bearing too. All the work was completed the next day and the price was more than fair. Highly recommended them.
