Yo, Adrian! Guess…read morewhat? My steering rack wheel bearing hub assembly is busted, and my wheel wobbles when I go over 70 mph. Bummer, right? But hey, my car is almost 30 years old, and this is the first time I've had this issue as the original owner. I'm not letting fear get the best of me. I want to make sure I don't break down on a dark, dangerous highway. Mirror, Mirror on the wall who is the most reliable and fairest mechanic in this land? D&T Garage in Lewes, Delaware, has been a trusted ally for over 11 years. They've come to my rescue multiple times, including when I needed a new alternator in December 2024 after a breakdown on Coastal Highway They're experts at diagnosing problems. They used dye to find the oil leak and figured out that the engine oil gasket was the culprit. They fixed it up and my car was running like a charm again. Jason, the mechanic, took the time to explain everything in detail, so I felt totally confident. The steering issue was a bit nerve-wracking, but Jason showed me how the tires had play in them and made me realize I had to tackle this problem head-on. They offered a fair price and replaced the assembly. During the process, they also checked my brake pads and rotors and fixed them up. I truly feel I'm in good hands with Jason and the team at D&T Garage; their trustworthiness sets them apart. they're the bEsT! Hasta la vista, D&T garage! Paid $125 for a diagnostic, only to be told I need a new hood latch that they can't get and that I should try the dealership. They never even addressed my check engine light. Meanwhile, they quoted me a whopping $750 for front brake pads and rotors. As a reminder, you can get brake pads and rotors for $150 tops on Amazon. Absolutely ridiculous. So I paid $125, left with NOTHING resolved, and they couldn't even be bothered to put air in my tires despite the tire pressure warning being on. Seriously? Not even air in the tires? On top of that, the garage seems to be staffed by very young, seemingly inexperienced workers. I can't speak to their qualifications, but the lack of service certainly didn't inspire confidence. I have no problem paying for good service, but this felt like a complete waste of money. It seems they're more interested in finding things to charge you for than actually helping you. Terrible experience. Won't be back.
