It appears that this business does not maintain a Yelp presence given their lack of responses to these reviews and also how far they go back. That said, I got an oil change there this month (due to their nearby location) and was very pleased with their attitude, professionalism, and prices. Was able to drop it off in the morning and it was ready by noon. Price was even cheaper than other quotes I had gotten on Yelp or on their website. (Oil Change, full synthetic, $70). If it turns out as bad as some of these other reviews are reported, I'll certainly update my review - but for now - I would definitely return. read more

Over priced..... took my car in to get a tire plugged for a slow leak. The charged me $50.00 for two plugs on the same tire in the same spot. After calling around to a few other tire companies in the area many are 1/3 the price or many said they don't charge for a plug at all. Complete rip off...... Will never go back. read more

The leak in my tire couldn't be found at In & Out Tire nearby. So, I brought my car here. The leak was very difficult to find but Eric, the technician found it by being tenacious. Unfortunately, the puncture is too close to the sidewall to support a patch and Ocean Tire does not use plugs. read more

I recently moved to Delaware from New York. Looking for an oil change. Ocean area tire in Millsboro is a perfect place for someone to go for their car. Ryan and his men are courteous and truthful. Being a single woman they did not take advantage of me. I know everything about cars and they did not know that. So when he told me what was needed, he not only tell me but showed me and he was absolutely correct. I believe that the service was wonderful and they did not overcharge me. Had oil change and tire rotation performed here. Returned home and parked truck garage. Next morning noticed large oil spot on garage floor. Returned to Ocean Area Tire and oil was found to be from oil that spilled on frame and not cleaned at shop. Never had that happen before on my 2017 vehicle. 6 days later while washing my vehicle noticed missing lug nut. Returned to shop second time and nut replaced. Both return trips waited on by Ryan. Never again. They "fixed" everything they said needed work on my 85 year old mother's car to the tune of $1200. Two weeks later she was stranded in a parking lot with a dead battery. They "fixed" that. A week later she was stranded in the middle of the road with a dead electrical system. And there's something shady about a place that "fixes" your car, then makes it necessary to return 2 more times for further repairs. They're not honest. Stay away from this place. They do lousy "work" and take no responsibility for shoddy "repairs". Save your money and yourself and go somewhere else. read more

Two days later on my trip to Baltimore, my tire pressure light comes on and stays on the whole trip. I had no idea why. Thankfully,my sister Erin Glass knows an owner of an auto shop. He looked at it right away and figured out the problem. Only 3 tires had sufficient air. Therefore, all 4 tires were off by 10%. This could of been a HUGE hazard. Big inconvenience!!! I arrived for my Goodyear confirmed appointment at 1:30 for installation of 4 new tires and George was very unfriendly from the start. This was my first visit to this tire dealer. While I was in the waiting area I witnessed George, Jake and an employee arguing about a $10 shortage for the deposit at the bank. I also witnessed a couple shop employees complaining about working there. Employee morel was not good. It was apparent George and Jake were not interested in my business. I had to ask George twice how the work was progressing. It took 2 hours and 20 minutes to get the 4 tires installed on my car. My brakes were not inspected and I knew I needed new brakes. Oh well they lost the brake business to someone else. I am very unhappy with their attitude and their service. I would not recommend this tire dealer to anyone. read more

I had a code on my truck suggesting a bad spark plug. These are 100,000 mile plugs with less than 10,000 on them. I was rudely told that unless they changed all 8 of them that they would not do the job! This is just one of several bad experiences that I have had with a Good Year sight. The only reason that I went to this one is because it is new and near my house. All of the Good Year places around here are crooks! How sad. read more

After making an appointment ahead of time at The Long Neck Ocean Area tire location and getting to the appointment early then having to leave our vehicle there overnight. We were then charged addition labor for doing a simple tire rotation. We warned the salesman that there were center caps on the rims and he never mentioned addition charges. We also asked for a brake inspection and they quoted us for calibers, brake pads and rotors...front and rear. After a second opinion by a trusted and experienced individual brake pads and rotors were both almost at 90-100% life and only one caliber needed replacement. The cost of all parts were less than 10% of their initial quote. I would love to make everyone aware of their business malpractice in hopes someone else won't get taken advantage of. read more

Just wanted to say thanks to Jake and the guys at Ocean Area Tire. My folks were visiting the area from North Carolina when their car died on a Saturday night. We had it towed to Ocean Area Tire and dropped the keys in the box. Talked to Jake in the morning to find out that they were booked for the day. He didn't promise anything, but he managed to diagnose a failed alternator, get the part, and get it installed that day. My folks were on the road home by mid-afternoon. I'm sorry others have had bad experiences, but ours was the opposite. These guys really helped us out. Thanks! read more

very over priced! as in bend over, grab your ankles, expensive. charged over $35.00 for a $10.00 part . plus charged the break inspection fee $42.50 on top of the break work. the sign behind the counter states free break inspection with any service, being I had service done to the breaks, that fee should be taken off. had the same thing done 2 years ago at another shop $65.00 total. will never go back there!!!!! read more
