Outstanding karaoke experience in the Fargo Moorhead Metroplex last night, Wednesday, January 14,…read more2026. This is the only karaoke place I know of in the area, and there are many, where karaoke starts at the reasonable hour of 8 PM. Children are allowed with their parents or legal guardians in Harold's until 9 PM, so please bring the family. I wanted to meet Harold, but he was probably getting so much needed shut eye, perhaps 6 feet under; may his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace. Anyway, back to life above ground , there were some singers whom I'm sure had many other gifts, and some singers with exceptional voices. The karaoke jockey, KJ, was friendly and did a good job encouraging applause and a good vibe. There were several notable duets by female female and male female, as well as many solos. This writer may have been the second oldest person in the bar, so he felt a wee bit out of place, but the waitress made him feel welcome as did a very friendly young man named Roman and his friend - - she had a beautiful single-syllable name but my memory is failing. There were pizza and jalapeño pickled eggs available, but this writer did not treat himself to either, so he can't rate the food.

I've really only have ever had beer or hop water, so I can comment on the drinks. They serve the Heggie's (frozen) pizza in a couple sizes, and that type of pizza always tastes good at a bar after a couple of drinks.

What really set the night apart, though, were the mixologists. They weren't just pouring drinks; they were creating an experience. Friendly, entertaining, and clearly knowledgeable, they made the whole evening feel personal and fun. The atmosphere is polished yet welcoming, perfect for anyone who appreciates a great cocktail and good company. If you're looking for a place where the drinks are as memorable as the people behind and at the bar, The Drawing Room should be at the top of your list!

The Drawing Room does the modern-elegant-with-a-speakeasy-wink thing just right--subtle entrance, clean lines, good energy without trying too hard. Cocktails are the main event and they deliver. Balanced, thoughtful, no weak links on the list. You can tell the bartenders actually care about what's in the glass. Only note: dial the lights down another notch or two. It's already intimate, but a little more low-lit mood would push that speakeasy feeling over the top. Otherwise? Easy yes. Chill spot, strong drinks, zero pretension.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, inviting, and genuinely welcoming -- the kind of place where you instantly know you're about to have a great experience. We ordered the seared halibut and the wild acres duck breast, and honestly... I'm still thinking about them. The halibut was perfectly cooked -- tender, delicate, and packed with flavor. The duck was incredible -- rich, balanced, and executed with precision. Every bite felt intentional. And the service? Just as impressive. Attentive, friendly, and natural -- not forced, not rushed -- just real hospitality that made the whole experience even better. It's been a long time since I've had food this memorable. This wasn't just dinner, it was an experience. I'll definitely be coming back -- and next time, I'm bringing people with me. Highly recommend.

Hole in the wall places where abeulitas are making the best molé ever with 37 ingredients, Pho with the perfect balance of fish sauce, lime and ginger without too much salt... You get it. When my daughter described this restaurant and cheese shop... formerly a bread and coffee shop, I thought it probably would be good but I was WoWeD. Now I've been there 4-5 times, mostly for dinner with family but also with a friends for lunch. Have always been pleased and proud of and for Fargo. The food has always been good and often exquisite! We usually start with their delicious mocktails and appetizers for the table. Yes, the popovers are wonderful as is the cheeseboard. The menu changes fairly often with some mainstays. The guys in our family often go for the Wagyu steak. Duck and various pasta dishes have also been favorites. I think there's always been a vegetarian option too. I've loved several. The staff is knowledgeable and servers excellent. The atmosphere is unassuming casual and cozy. Save room for desert! They do that well too.

If you are from the Cities, they are owned by the same people as the Hewing, so expect a similar level of service. I liked my old fashioned a lot, it was well made. They have a great bourbon selection, including a lot of Old Forester (which is, of course, the best bourbon). The staff was friendly and I had a nice chat. My one suggestion to the restaurant would be to mark DF (dairy free) on the menu, a lot of us can't have dairy!

Thank you for being a highlight of my long ways trip. Food- stunning, innovative. Ambience- funky and cozy, well spaced, great people. LOVED!!! It was a quiet Wednesday night and a nice break from a long day in having dinner at Rosewild. The decor is contemporary and comforting. We sat at a table overlooking the town's ice skaters, so fun. Drinks were well done- as always never mad at a hand stuffed blue cheese olive martini. Besides though - the food!!! Mmmmmmmm. Apps were Pork Belly burnt ends and Burrata salad. The burnt ends were a falsehood in name, could've been more juicy and meaty to mimic beef, but the flavor was there. Burrata, delicious! Light pesto of fresh herb. Entrees around the table were Steaks, Walleye dishes and two sides. Steaks were well taken by those enjoying. Not the best of cuts chosen towards hanger but made for a satisfaction. The walleye - loved the staying local feel here. And the bread pudding underneath. WHAT was this???! - divine!!! Again an inspo dish. This bread pudding- I am finding recipe and making for a holiday dish accompaniment. WOW!! Additional sides brought towards the steaks were roasted brussels and fried potatoes. These potatoes- had to be fried in an animal fat. They had SOOOOO much flavor. I swear to you not- we were finished dinner, everything was taken off the table and I would NOT LET GO of these fries. FML. I die. I want to eat them again and again. I wanted to take them with, on the plane and repeat a thousand times over. I think the best fries I've ever had in life, no lie. Well freaking done Rosewild. I'd never think reason to come back to Fargo being an East Coast girl, except for you- and the exquisite service, ambiance and food. You are killing it!
