I asked the price as she was writing it up, and was kind of shocked that it was so cheap, but I had read on my neighborhood page that she was very affordable so I didn't question the $9 she quoted? I was expecting $30 or so. She did not write the price on my ticket. I came to pick it up and was shocked to be asked for $95 for the hem. She claims that's what she told me. She has an accent, but I definitely did not hear $95. If that's what she had said I would have passed and done it myself even though I didn't have time which is why I decided to drop it off. The dress itself was only $30. I was so taken aback and frankly didn't have that much on me so I said I would have to come back. She kept telling me how much work it was because the skirt was fuller, but come on. I picked up the next day and she gave me a $3 discount (ridiculous). The hem is not done well. It's pulling as the stitches are too tight and it's a little uneven. The front is slightly longer than the back. Do NOT patronize this place for alterations.

I went for pick up and the owner apologized and told me that it was still at the alterations place an hour away and that he would bring it in tomorrow. (A week after it was supposed to be finished). He also insisted that these items would be free of charge because of his mistake and the inconsistency. Mind you, I have a wedding to go to tomorrow and a flight that leaves at 5 am. so I told him that I cannot wait until tomorrow, and the fact that it's over a week late is not my problem but his. I offered to pick it up and he said no, he would bring it to the shop. Well I get there to pick it up from the cleaners and he proceeds to tell me that it will be 88$. How? When you were late and you just said it was free. Meanwhile I told him that was ridiculous and he charged me 60$, only for me to try it on at home and see the end result (see photos attached) . I went back and showed him, he gave me a refund. But moral of the story, I went through hell and back for jeans I can't even fit anymore since they took the butt in and all I needed was the waist. I submitted an order last week and left my clothes in a locker, and the clothes simply just sat there for a week, with no one coming to pick them up. I attempted to contact both Tide Cleaners and the cleaning company that actually services the lockers in my building, but received zero response from either. Thankfully, the code that I used to lock the locker also worked to unlock it, so I was at least able to get my clothes back. The app is also super buggy, and occasionally doesn't allow you to log into your account, so I would pass on this service.

What irritates me is that they don't measure the rugs you bring in; instead, they use "small, medium, and large" pricing. As a result, my 2x3 rug is listed in their system as a 3x5 rug, and my 2x6 runner is shown as a 6x9 rug! It's obvious price gouging! How can they charge that much and claim that the "company that they send the rugs out to cleaned pricing" is to blame rather than their own pricing? What an awful thing to do to a devoted client!
