Great place with a lots of options, operated by kind, passionate, and insightful people. They have…read morea repair shop in the back and a free tire pump just outside the door. I am just now getting into road cycling, and they had me ready to go with all the essentials in a matter of minutes. I've already been there 3 times in the past 2 weeks, and I'd encourage anyone looking for a local bike shop to give them a visit!

A few weeks ago, I was riding on Toronto's Waterfront Trail as I often do, when I got a flat…read more Always a drag but I had my tool kit and spare tube so the change was quick. Unfortunately my Co2 inflator malfunctioned: I had a repaired tire but no air. A quick online search showed that Dream Cyclery was just a few blocks away. I knew as a reputable shop that they would have air available for those who need it in a pinch. And yes, as I arrived, there was the air hose as I had hoped. Noticing it was only Schraeder-ready I went into the shop to borrow an adapter and say thanks for the rescue. No thanks needed. Just 5 bucks. That's right, any cyclist with Presta valves must pay for the tiny brass adapter in order to use the "free air." The staffer seemed embarrassed to be charging me $5 for a piece that costs no more than a nickel. With the next nearest bike shop a significant walk away, I had no other choice. How chintzy is that! It wouldn't be so obnoxious if they were charging a dollar to cover the cost of providing them, or asking for a donation to a favourite charity (Cycle Toronto?) but this feels likes mean-spirited gouging. Looks like a nice shop. Sorry I will not be visiting again.

Cyclepath - New chain. They disassembled the drive train, cleaned it up and put on a new chain!

Are you the owner: A: yes…read moredo you have bike gloves? A: nope If I buy four tires can I get a break on price? A: nope If I buy four tires for two bikes, can you do installation? A: nope is this a bike shop, or a skit with the hostile shopkeeper in Fawlty Towers or Cheese Shop? cyclepath Davisville was like Dermott in Black Books: wtf are you in my store? This place was like Bike Depot: buy a bike @ $1000 or fuck off. Like Bike Depot. Better choice: Silent Sports

I went in and said "do you have any marin parts? i was just at skiis and biikes and they said they…read moreonly had trek parts", he rudely lectured me that there were no marin parts and no trek parts just bike parts. I proceed to buy the pedals, fender, and rack from their limited selection. I paid for general maintenance and got them installed free. the fender was installed shoddily and rubbed. I had him fix it and it still rubbed again a few days later. Then my bike fell from a bike rack and a piece broke from the rack. I went in and he said "oh so it didn't just break, you dropped your bike. next time don't drop your bike. $5". Bikes fall and falling from a bike rack shouldn't cause a piece to break... I went into skiis and biikes and they completely realigned my fenders and it hasnt rubbed since. A few weeks later the piece they sold me for $5 broke again and the bike didn't even fall. I asked for a refund on the rack and they angrily gave me the $5 back for the part they charged me for. They said it's my fault for keeping a bike in a bike rack.
