Unprofessional and Disrespectful Experience at City World Ford First, this dealership provided me with a written price for a vehicle, but refused to honor it when I arrived to finalize the purchase. Changing the agreed price after the fact is unprofessional and misleading. Customers rely on written quotes when making purchasing decisions. Not honoring them damages trust and credibility. I cannot recommend doing business here. After that, I was given a new quote and was asked to come in to finalize the purchase, only to find out when I arrived that the vehicle had already been sold to someone else. That alone was frustrating and a complete waste of my time. Then, they took a deposit from me with the promise that they would locate a similar vehicle. They did eventually find one -- but at a significantly higher price than what we had originally discussed. Instead of honoring the original terms or taking responsibility, I was given excuses and spoken to in a condescending manner. The sales manager continued to insult my intelligence with explanations that simply didn't add up. The explanations given were inconsistent and felt dismissive, as if I wouldn't recognize what was really happening. Taking a deposit under one understanding and then presenting a higher price later feels misleading and unfair. Customers deserve transparency, honesty, and respect -- none of which I experienced here. It was clear there was tension and lack of coordination between the sales manager, Claudia Pacheco and the sales representative, Rafael Sosa which negatively impacted my deal. Instead of presenting a unified and professional approach, I felt like I was caught in the middle of internal issues. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used constructively to improve future customer interactions. Respect and integrity are critical in maintaining long-term relationships and a positive reputation in the community. Sadly one of the worse "new car delivery processes in the city. I went in to pick up a new car, color was set, price was set, we are good to go. I am a very busy person so two days prior, I text the sales associate to let her know that I have decided to do business with her. When I arrive at the dealership the car is still in the showroom, pretty dirty from people getting in and out doing whatever they do. I was told this "this is the car" I wanted a silver Ford, so the sales associate dictates to me that this is the car they are selling me. I agreed because I liked the color. Unbeknownst to me at the time, this car came from another dealership and was probably a cancellation from another intelligent customer that was not going to put up with their games. They wait for me to arrive to start prepping the car. Everything is an excuse, "we are getting the car inspected" thank you for your patience", etc. Two hours later I see the car parked by a guy carrying an open drink. I inspect the car and it was filthy, glue on the body of the car and the driver side mats filthy. I brought this to the attention of the sales associate and one of the sales managers chimed in claiming that the mats are dirty from people getting in and out. I know this and there are no floor protectors to keep those mats clean for the customer. I was so annoyed and tired of this process that I acquiesced and took the damn thing. The experience was just bad. It started alright but ended with a horrible taste in my mouth about the process and dealers' attitude. I get that salespeople in this business are at the bottom of the food chain when it comes to professionalism, honesty, and class, but as a Hispanic businessman, I find it offensive that their main clientele seems to be of the Latino community and the attitude is that because of that, they are considered second class citizens, BY THEIR OWN KIND mind you. So forgive me if I am a little bit sensitive when I see my own people treating my people like they are stupid, uneducated and disrespected. So I got the car, (only because I was tired of the crap) but sadly these so-called "sales associates" will continue to exist. They will never be anything more and a transactional salesperson, they rarely get repeat business and referrals. I do not recommend these guys at all, but they are all over at every dealer. So all I can say is that I am a glutton for punishment. I completely forgot the really bad experience I had with these people when I first bought the car. So I get a flyer stating that they want to upgrade me for another vehicle and I thought ok...hey why not? The idiot that took care of me the first time is no longer there so let's give them another shot. I text one of the people (NELSON- A so called manager) that I felt treated me professionally when I was there the first time. It was late at night but I wanted to get my message out before I forgot altogether. Apparently he forwards my info to a sales person that leaves a message that I can't understand, I call back at the number he leaves (I at least understood that) and there is no answer, no machine nothing. I text Mr. Nelson back, this Anthony guy call me back (mind you I am pretty busy) I call back and he asks the receptionist to find out why I am calling him. Are you serious? So today I contact Nelson I expressed my discontent with the service and sadly here is what he wrote back (SEE ATACHED screen shot. He bitched and cried about the bad review that his employee and dealership rightly deserved. No I do remember he displayed some professional skills to me and I respected that. So I thought I would try one more time. Nope...fish stinks from the head down. When I told him that I was posting his last text word for word then he wrote back saying this: Sadly this guy is just too thin skinned to be in that job. Where do I start: SALES DEPARTMENT: They had me fooled. I exchanged my Chevy lease for an Explorer and the salesman "lost" it for 6 months. The Insurance company got it 6 months later with more mileage than I returned it with and with damage. To find out that an employee drove it before returning it to Chevy. SERVICE DEPARTMENT: 2 years later, I took my Explorer for service Recently and they took almost 1 week for a sensor. Michelle was the worse advisor I have ever dealt with. I had to call them to know info on availability on "My Car" and Michelle refused to pick up my calls & the manager Anthony is no better. They are all the same garbage staff there! I had no choice but to call ford headquarters to handle my issue. They supposedly fixed the sensor for the check engine light to come back the following day. Another complaint with headquarters and now I will never deal with City World Ford in the Bronx. Where do I start...okay let's start from the moment I was in the negotiation process of a 2017 Dodge Charger. Everything seem so good until the sales rep Ireliz Colon had the nerve to say the car was involved in a minor car accident nothing serious and the air bags were never deployed, mind you the report clearly stated "Vehicle disable, Vehicle towed" which means the car was actually involved in a much more serious accident than just a "minor fender bender" as she stated. Also, which is very disappointing her sales manager Juan Morla, who was helping with the sale did make me feel secured about the car and made me feel like I got all the best deals as far as pricing wise when I'm reality, they just ended up getting more money out of my pocket then what he was saying. Okay fine I left with the car all good right? WRONG, the car soon experienced loud banging noises from the driver wheel side. So to be sure I took the car to get checked out to ensure everything was okay & to my surprise the Lower Control Arm of the driver side was NO GOOD AT ALL, MIND you I just had a baby and plan on driving with the baby in this car. So I took it back to see Juan and of course as expected he wanted to check out what it is I'm talking about because of course I'm lying. Juan soon heard the same noises and once again very comfortably he gain my trust ensuring the mechanic will fix the car issues without coming out of pocket he even went as far as saying "you think I will just turn my back against you and let you deal with this on your own".....sounds good right? WRONG, I took it to the service mechanic and while they were helping me to my surprise the dealership had said no they won't cover any of the cost to repair my newly purchased car. Then it hit me, neither Juan or Ireliz gave me a copy of the NYS Lemon Law paperwork which now leads me to believe they knew about the current car issue. Don't go this place! Their service department is TERRIBL!. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. I had an appointment scheduled for glass replacement on Saturday 3.13.21 @ 8:30am. I dropped off my vehicle on time. My service advisor was manny. By 3pm no calls or texts from my advisor. I called and texted him, no answer no reply. Shop closed. Monday 3.15.21. At noon, still no one reached out to me in regards of my vehicle status. Again, I called and texted, no answer, no reply. At this point i was frustrated and decided to go over and pick up my vehicle. Everything is a runaround, I purchased a car and an extended warranty but when I needed repairs done the service center kept saying there was nothing wrong with the vehicle, which was BULL! The mechanic showed me problems that I didn't even go there for but did they fix those? No! The vehicle was not safe to drive and they did nothing to help me. It was so bad I ended up trading in the vehicle about 2 weeks after I bought it. Now I am trying to cancel the extended warranty and they are giving me the runaround with that! It is completely ridiculous! I previously leased a Fusion in 2017 and my lease was coming up and I got in touch with City World since I had a nice experience in 2017, but the salesperson I dealt with was no longer at the dealership. My Fusion in 2017 list price $35,275 I leased it for $329.90 with $1,000 down 36 mos 12,000mi. I spoke to Juan who said no problem he will work with me, came back offering a Fusion list price $31,225 for $429 $1,000 down 10,500 mi He said it's inflation, I don't know but with food lines going a mile 1/2 and running out of food and unemployment in the millions, I'd say we are in a depression Juan! Overall a good experience. I requested a test drive online and had and appointment scheduled for the next day within the hour. The person that called me (Shaniqua) was very professional on the phone. Liz helped show me the car and negotiate. The sales and finance managers were nice and professional. The only draw back was waiting to get in to sign the papers after a deal was agreed too. We spent literally an entire day there. Long delays "talking to a manager", "talking to finance", then you see they are all outside smoking cigarettes together laughing.... Then they say they have to drive to another lot *just down the street* to get the actual vehicle they want to sell us.... over an hour later it finally appears... the guy who drives it in says they shouldnt say it's down the street as it's a 20 minute drive, and it's a massive parking lot where they have to move a bunch of cars out of the way to get to any specific car....so all-in it takes at least an hour to get a car from the other lot.... Then you think you're finally able to go, you've negotiated a "deal", you're ready to sign, it's 5:30pm and you've been there since 10am and you're exhausted, and they tell you to go to the finance guy in the back to sign the papers which will reflect the long negotiation process you just survived. You think this must be the wizard behind the curtain responsible for literally hours and hours of delays while random people say they're "getting approval"..... you go in to sign the papers, and he unloads THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS in SURPRISE COSTS!!!!! SURPRISE!!!!! Lol...... No one told you that you will also have to add all kinds of random "taxes and fees" to the final cost, which means the monthly rate you were just negotiating to stay within your budget, is actually now NOT in your budget, because you weren't given all of the information up front..... so now suddenly your monthly cost that you just went back and forth negotiating on, goes up another almost $200/month!! He *acts shocked* that it's coming as a surprise, says "they should have explained this to you" and acts like he's your friend and is horrified that you are caught off guard.... says he will go talk to them when we say we've had enough run around and are walking away... It's been an entire day of wasted hours of delays and run around and back pedaling... We tell him we can't do it anymore, we're out... we're calling our insurance to cancel this and we'll go get this car from someone else... He disappears, again more wasted time, comes back very apologetic was able to make a "one time special exception because of how this has been handled".... still the cost is more than $100/month higher than we were told, but it's closer to $100 than $200 and so.... isn't it great that he got them to cover some of the taxes...??!!! LOL Oh please...... Please save yourself the headache and the hassle and go to a real dealership who will actually value a potential client and sale, who will want to create a long term relationship with you as a client, and care about about you enough to not waste hours of your time for no reason, who will not lie and scam you and treat you as if you're a complete idiot.... My husband and I spent over 7 hours at the dealership on 1/05/19, and ended up leaving with a 2016 Explorer. The salesman and management staff appeared to be on our side (as is always the case with a sales team), and ended up offering us a car with nearly 75k miles for what we thought was a decent price if there were no other faults with the vehicle. Sadly, we found that there were indeed problems, but we're told that they were easily fixable. Initially, we did not want to drive the car off of the lot, given that there were issues to be dealt with; but we were heavily pressed to do so. The entire control panel did not work, the unlock feature on the key fob did not function, and the front right tire was extremely low by the time we arrived back to Harlem. The following Tuesday, I took the car to the dealership to fix the disrupted features and tire. Luckily, the service fit me in without an appointment and were swift to fix the reported issues. However, once the temperatures outside dropped, so did the functions of the car. The car takes at least 2-3 revs to actually start(my assumption is a bad battery?), the fuel gauge will often read "zero" when there is indeed fuel in the tank, and there appears to be something loose under the hood, as a clicking/thumping noise repeats when the car is idle. The dealership told my husband to take the car back to the service center the next Saturday, which he did, only to find that the service only performs oil changes on the weekends. We were scheduled to take our vehicle back to the service department on Monday, Jan. 21st. It is Sunday, Jan. 20th and the vehicle will not start whatsoever. I cannot fathom how this car actually passed the "inspection" that was supposedly performed the day we drove off of the lot. We are extremely disappointed in the hardship that has gone along with a car that is only 3 years old. I desperately hope that they are able to rectify this situation. I am 6 months pregnant, and would obviously like a reliable car for my family. Not sure we'd get one from City World Ford. read more

I like a new car every 3 years, that smell aahhh) I unfortunately cannot recommend this dealership. My brain is still numb. So much to list between the wasted hours, being told one price, repeatedly asking to speak to finance, the stall tactics, after they added the car to my ins. I had to call to cancel whole deal because hey guess what last hour the finance guy showed up and I was told my down payment was gonna be $1800 more than quoted along with a higher monthly payment, I saw red. After calling him shady and cancelling the car on my insurance and telling him it's done, I want to go this is bs he came back down in increments. I still paid a little bit over what i was quoted on the dp but my monthly came back down as originally quoted at that point i wanted to get it done & get out. Too aggravated to go to another dealer at that point. It gets better, I called to tell them I am stuck at work and would be an hour late picking up the car and they told me no worries the car is all ready for you to pick up...I got there and guess what, it wasnt ready at all!!! No plates, still in transport mode(they had no idea how to take it out took 45min) so another 3 hours later and only an explanation of how the radio works, nothing else just the radio but he did repeatedly( every 10 minutes ) tell me to make sure I give good rating when I get phone call to give a review I said sure of course the best. I finally told the salesman this is beyond obsurd let me get out of here now I Took the car with the window sticker glue allover it, and Mark's on the car he thumb-spit it off Trust me that's the short version There are a ton of other dealers I recommend you go try 1 of them....not this place read more

On April 26, I called City World Ford Service Dept. I told the female employee I spoke to that my car would not hold a charge. She said I would have to make an appointment to have that taken care of and the first available one was in June. I said, "So my care has to sit in the driveway until June?" She answered, "I guess so." No attempt was made to help with this problem. Shortly after that I called Rye Ford. They were able to help me immediately. I give this particular dealership NO STARS! The nightmare started October 2017. I turned in a lease and traded for a new lease 2017 ford escape. I have excellent credit and we could hardly come to agreement in payment. Way too high. Came with a scratch and no cover for trunk. I asked them for a note for the scratch for returing it and for the cover. Haven't gotten it yet. So when I bring back the lease they're going to charge me. They could care less. I'm going to file a report with The Better Business Bureau. Writing a personal letter to Ford. I find staff to be unprofessional, condisending, arrogant, greedy and non caring. What happened to the customer is always right. Not there! I put one star because this reviews won't post without at least one. I brought back my lease last year without a scratch and a month later Ford called and said, I owe money for scratches. I told them I brought it back perfect, those scratches had to be done between the time I left it and they looked it over. This was my first time leasing and had no idea how things go with a lease. That's why I took the second lease KNOWING it had a scratch that I could deal with but didn't know they would charge me later in the return. These people have NO Integrity. Of all the dealerships I visited this was by far the worst experience I've had. I was in the dealership the entire day. They kept going back and forth "getting approvals" and my rep didn't know any numbers, just kept diverting all of my questions to "you'll have to talk to the finance guy about that." When it was finally time to talk numbers, the price of the car on the lot was more expensive than the internet price, the car I was considering was already in my name with the insurance switched off my old car and they were pushing me to put more and more money down when I came in with a pre approval price from my bank and a set price of what I wanted to pay up front. This is the worst dealership I have ever been to. I visited in May looking to lease a mustang and told them I would be back in June to sign the papers. I went in yesterday and they first off tried to sell me a car that I did not want. They convinced me so I was ready to sign the papers. They wanted me to pay $510 a month for the ecoboost premium (32k sticker price). Not knowing any better I was ready to sign the lease. I then checked Edmunds and saw that Schultz ford had the exact car I wanted so I called them. They quoted me a much lower monthly lease price for a car that costs $5k more. How is that even possible? CityWorld Ford will rob you blind and tell you that they're doing something great for you at the same time. I'm very grateful for websites like edmunds that will give you a price promise and I'm grateful for dealerships that will honor those prices. Look online before you decide to purchase a car and STAY AWAY FROM CITY WORLD FORD!!!
