Bought my first 'nearly new' car last month after almost a year of searching for a 'clean' but used NY example. On arriving was met by Dashawn who was equally helpful and patient in getting me through the process. Special thanks to the finance team also who offered me a great deal some extra Honda mechanical coverage. Never felt rushed or over-sold and would definitely recommend the Bronx team to others. read more

Bronx Honda vs Honda of the Bronx Wtf does that mean or should it mean to the people of the Bronx. I know what it means to me. Not a damn thing because it's still the Honda dealership in the Bronx. People who live in the Bronx are committed to this borough. They believe if you live in the Bronx you should buy in the Bronx. They believe that people should earn a livelihood in the Bronx so they support businesses by spending their hard earned money in stores in the Bronx. They want a prosperous community. Which helps to explain why I bought a car in the Bronx. I bought a Honda one year ago and everything went smoothly. The salesman was cool. He wasn't that stereotypical used car salesman so me and my baby daddy left the dealership feeling good. We felt good because we contributed to the economy of the Bronx and we felt that way until recently. My son's father went to Honda to set up a time to get the second oil change promised when we purchased our car. Two oil changes guaranteed in a sign agreement with Bronx Honda when the car was purchased. Well when my children's father went for the second oil change "Honda of the Bronx" tried to renege on the agreement because Bronx Honda doesn't exist anymore. We bought the car when it was Bronx Honda. The Honda dealership in the Bronx is at the same location E. Tremont Avenue is now Honda of the Bronx. As a Harlemite but with roots in the Bronx I'm like really? I'm looking at the manager and I'm wondering if he thinks I'm a fool and that I will accept the change of name of the Honda dealership in the Bronx as a reason to not honor the contract made in good faith. The oil change is not the only contract they tried to renege on. We bought a service contract for $2500 and the manager said no to that too. A lot could be said about this less than savory experience we had but I'll say this we got the oil change but the service contract I'm waiting to speak to a representative at Honda headquarters. In summary I will not buy another car from Honda and as far as the name change: Bronx Honda vs Honda in the Bronx, means panties changed but the pussy still stinks. read more

Honestly had a really good experience trading in our car and leasing a new one today. Unfortunately, we were there for a pretty long time because all the processing took a while. (Not sure if that's standard or not, but that's the reason I knocked my rating down a star because by the end I was pretty antsy to leave.) But overall, the employees were all very friendly and Adonis was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions (we had a lot). He definitely helped us find the best option for our situation. It seems the new management has done this place well because we definitely did not have a bad experience. We felt very taken care of after a really bad experience with our first car elsewhere. read more

I went into this dealership to finance a car . . After putting a down payment of $2000 the salesman Victor stated to start the car insurance was $600. I sent him $600 via Zelle & two weeks later I called the insurance only to find out not only was the policy cancelled BUT the price to start the policy was only $300. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR! They (Victor) are money hungry lying thieves !! Would NOT recommend!!! Ps. I got my money back!! read more

They don't stop calling, sending messages, and leaving voicemails after just one inquiry. My experience was very satisfactory at the Bronx Honda Dealership. Wilson was very attentive in helping me find an affordable vehicle I needed for my family. He worked together with the manager Raul, who hands down made it happen. I highly recommend anyone who is in need of a vehicle, and qualifies for one, to confidently visit the Bronx Honda dealer. They are there to work with you every step of the way. read more

Almost felt bad about the review I'm going to leave but after seeing the rest of these reviews.. it's time to scrap the whole dealership and start fresh! This summer I was car shopping, traveling to a few different dealerships to get some prices and compare. I connected with Angel from Bronx Honda who I have nothing bad to say about.. however, his manager was truly awful. Angel was very friendly and let me test drive the specific Civic I came to look at which I saw they had in stock. After sitting down with him and crunching the numbers, his manager came over and tried to strong-arm me into buying the car that day when I wasn't happy with the numbers. He was literally telling me, "you want this car, you came here specifically for this car, so you want to leave here with this car for today because it might not be here tomorrow." They weren't willing to budge at all on the price and he wasn't even willing to lock in the "discount" he was offering me because supposedly they would be able to sell the car that weekend if I didn't snatch it up. Well, that didn't happen, because Angel reached out again after the weekend. Honestly after the experience I had I wouldn't go back unless the new price was generously adjusted, which it wasn't. I opted for another dealership and another car make and had a MUCH better experience. read more

Im going to start off by saying I have been dealing with the brand honda for nearly 12 years. This dealership is by far the worst of all. I have recommended people who actually bought cars here and have been met with the same Poor service and over charging. My own father bought a Honda Pilot Black Edition and had to wait 1 month for the headphones and remote after I noticed they weren't given to him. The Rep had the nerve to lie the whole month about the situation. (This being the most recent incident with them) Second incident this year was regarding a warranty I bought and never getting straight answers and lying at the time to get me to buy the car!! DO NOT WORK WITH THEM!!!! I will be switching to another dealer next time around. Wasted a lot of money!!! read more

Bronx Honda - Breakdown from the FTC of Bronx Hondas racist predatory practices UPDATE May14 2026 Bronx Honda was involved in another settlement of130k - Car Dealers Near Me - Bronx, New York

Bronx Honda is the worst dealership they are money hungry Mr.Michael Hinton helped me on 5/20 he didn't let me test drive the car He racially profiled me forced me in something I didn't felt comfortable getting they also have a lawsuit here a while back for discriminating black people and over charging them for cars do the research on this dealership. once Mr.Hinton saw I was paying cash for the car he went off and refused to assist me in anyway it was straight paper work and forget a test drive I informed Mr.Hinton to let another sales rep help me he refuse to do that he wasn't professional at all and I will never come back to this dealership again after the way I was treated its absolutely crazy Mr.Hinton said I don't need to test drive the car only when I settle the paperwork then I can & still no test drive was given after that I felt that very alarming and felt he forced to take the car on 5/21 the car started to cause problems for a 2024 accord I came back to the dealership to return the car they refused to take the car back and give me my money back mind you that you have 3days to return a car if any issues arises the dealership must fix them. I felt that was insane and crazy I also didn't like the fact that the car wasn't cleaned & that the Car didn't have a sunroof when he informed me it would if you ask for a test drive at Bronx Honda they would not do it as they feel lazy to move the car and re park it if you want a great car that can get you to point A and point B there maintenance is terrible they don't even fix your car correctly I hope nobody come here again because I definitely won't I will also be filing a lawsuit against them to for discriminatory malfeasance read more

I found a certified Honda Accord online at bronxhonda.com. I called the dealership and explicitly asked the representative if the car was still available, she said yes. I asked If I can test drive it the same day, she said yes. An hour later I get to the dealership and the car is not in stock, I was told that it won't be available for viewing or test driving for a couple of days. It took several hours in the Dealership to finally get that information after which I left. The representative could have told me that information over the phone and I could have just visited the dealership when it became available. Her misinformation and/or dishonesty costed me more than several hours of my Sunday. read more

I also was overcharged for my 2015 Honda Fit EX by Bronx Honda. And it's only almost a year later that I am finding out. As a single young woman, I urge anyone out there looking for a car not to trust this dealership!!! I saw an ad on Car Guru for a 2015 Honda Fit EX for a little under $14,000 so I went in to the dealership to look at it. On the car it had a sticker for the original price of $16,275, so I told them how much I saw it online for, and asked would it be that price. They said yea no problem. After I test drove it we went inside and again I showed them the ad to make sure it would be that price, they said yea yea we will honor it. After I decided to go with it, again I. The finance room I pointed out the price of the vehicle and they said yea they included it as they read a bunch of numbers, talking about the interest and the Honda care etc. This was my first experience buying a car and I tell you it left a horrible taste in my mouth. We live in a world where you can't trust anyone no matter what they tell you. Please look very carefully at your contract and don't get fooled like me, who believed in these crooks here. I take it as a lesson, but please don't buy from these crooks unless you have checked out everything thoroughly and come with someone who knows something about buying cars. read more

I should have read the horrible reviews before I tried to buy a used car from them. Because my credit is challenging I offered to put a deposit on the car i wanted but Peter said it was not necessary, strung me along with the financing and then they wanted my son to co-sign since I co-signed for him on purchasing a car. than I got an e-mail this morning from Car fax saying that the car was sold and instead of telling me this morning, I had to follow up and then he told me my financing was denied but could he assisted me with another car to purchase. I dont think so. Worst dealership I ever dealt with. read more

Let's keep this simple. Nanci Edmondson is the real deal! She wants to help you get what you want. On top of the fact that they made me wait 7 hours to be seen by a financial advisor the sale's person states that he wont even show me a car if i don't commit to buy the car. I clearly stated i wanted to pay no more that 19k and they somehow got me into a loan for 28k. Not even close to what i wanted to pay. By the end when they exhausted me is when they break down the real price. I regretted this from the minute i sat down with this salesperson. I now have a problem with the service and parts location claiming that parts are new when they are not and when i go back to the dealer i get the worst customer service i've ever received in my life from both managers at the dealer. expecting me to be calm when i been reaching out for months looking for compensation. The one manager name sean asked that i leave his office because I was upset that he never followed up regarding the issue i had back in may and had no choice but to dispute the charges because the quality and customer service was unacceptable. They are now not honoring my oil changed because I disputed some of the charges. I have videos of the interaction with the managers on my page. There's clearly a pattern here when every single comment is negative. This place needs to be shut down. Both the dealership and the servicing location. read more

I was holding off on writing a review but... Ever had someone tell you "told ya so"? That's the feeling you'll have at bronx Honda. Let's start with the fact that they were in a legal battle due to mistreating blacks and Latinos. I knew I had wanted to lease a car and had Ivan assist me. They don't care about the community at bronx Honda. I have reached out to higher ups regarding how I was treated and nothing was ever done. I was in contact with someone and the conversation fell short soon after. It's terrible to think that this is how they treat blacks, Latinos, and even women. As a young latina shopping for a new car you expect the best treatment such as professional and integrity. I didn't get that here. I was rushed and pretty much scammed into giving more money for absolute no reason After getting my car I noticed I never received an owners manual. I reached out via email several times and even stopped by. Nothing could be done. For months!! Each time I went I was never directly addressed. They always addressed my Fiancé. This happened at least three times to the point that finally my fiancé told them they shouldn't be addressing him. They should address the person speaking. The person who purchased the vehicle. Which was me. it was so disappointing to be there. It completely ruined my first experience at getting my very own car. I have never in my life experienced a place where not only do they treat you different because of race. But because of sexuality. I will never again set foot at bronx Honda. I was also told that as a courtesy they would wave my last two payment. And nothing as been done. It's a shame. read more

I leased a car for the 1st time from Bronx Honda this past November (November 2019) and it was uneventful. The sales person (Steven) was good, and there really wasn't much to share. Nothing worth writing a good or bad review about. Now fast forward 2 months when I get a parking ticket for an expired registration. It turns out that when they submitted my registration for a new car, they decided to use my previous registration that would expire in 2 months. I have been leasing a car every 3 years for the last 21 years, and never has the previous dealerships that I've been to, had done that. It never occurred to me to check the expiration date. Which in the end was my responsibility, but I only check the address and spelling of my name based on my prior experiences when leasing a car. When going to Bronx Honda for assistance today (January 2020) the salesperson was attempting to be helpful, even mentioning that this was not the norm, and he didn't want to lose my business over this, so he would work on getting it resolved. He cane back to me with the manger named Jersey, who proceeded to tell me that they would do nothing to correct it and that I was on my own. Let's be clear that most dealerships are the same and that it comes down to the little things that separates them from other dealerships. Bronx Honda has clearly separated themselves as a SUBPAR dealership. If you're thinking about getting a car from Bronx Honda, I'd advise you to pass them by and find another dealership. The little things that pop up after buying a car are just as important as the initial purchase, and they failed miserably at that. read more

Dishonest. Pete, salesperson makes promises he doesn't stand by.All I will say is buyer beware and recommend going to another dealership.

I had a good experience buying an Accord from Bronx Honda recently. I got a quote from them quickly over the phone for the car I wanted, which they had in stock even though it's a special color. Their very first quote was the lowest of the four dealerships I spoke to, more than $1000 lower than two of them, and listed as a great price by various websites that track average prices paid nationally plus dealer invoice prices. After that I just called them back, made an appointment to go in and finish the deal, went there and two hours later drove away in my new car. Everyone was very nice. They probably could have given me more for my trade-in but it wasn't a lowball offer so I took it. The car's great and I might even take them up on their one year of free maintenance offer. read more

Called in advance to verify all the numbers in the ad, got everything in writing over e-mail. When showed up to sign the paperwork the next day I was told that the car as agreed was sold and the best lease they can offer is almost 2K more expensive (the overall lease was 4.5K over 3 years). Plus tried to convince me that taxes for the lease are almost 17%. Wasted an hour of my life. Pathetic and unpleasant. Honestly, stay away Two days later... As Laurell has suggested in her kind reply I called. More than once and left a message. So far nobody answered or called back. What's the point of asking to call and not to answer? read more

I made the mistake of thinking a Honda dealership would be trustworthy. Listen to the reviews and stay away from Bronx Honda!!! I initially found an used car I was interested in on their site and contacted them for a quote and test drive on a Sunday. On Sunday, I called them beforehand to make sure my car would be there, and they said it was. However, when I got there, the salesperson told me the car was actually in the auto shop, and I wouldn't be able to test drive it until Friday. Friday comes, and they call to tell me I'll have to wait into Tuesday instead. On Tuesday, I test drive the car and go through all the steps of buying the car, getting registration, and making the whole payment in cash. I've been primarily talking with the salesperson Drake Taveras. It gets to the point where Drake is even putting the license plates on the car when the manager Alex Alexander tells us the car has already been sold that morning, before I arrived. Somehow, during the 2-3 hours I've been there in the process of buying this car, no one ever knew that the car had already been sold. It is beyond belief that a company could be so incompetent with such a huge communication error. At this point, I was very frustrated and just wanted a car so I ended up buying a different car that I had also looked into. I negotiated with Alex to get a better deal, especially given their huge mistake. They promised to detail the car, because they wanted it "perfect" for me. Up until now, Drake had been trying to help me and he was also frustrated by this miscommunication. He assured me that I didn't need to waste money on an inspection because the car had gone through a "125 point inspection" by Honda. Next time, I won't trust any salesperson or dealership on their word. The "full detailing" they had done was only a simple external car wash. There were still crumbs left near the hand brake and the interior was still very dusty. The AC didn't even work, only blowing outside air, despite their "inspection." When I contacted Drake, he said they would fix the AC if I brought it to the Honda Service. At the service center, they said the AC was indeed broken. They would need to order a condenser, and I would have to leave my car overnight to fix it. I also attempted to contact Drake (via phone, text, and email) multiple times over 5 days, but at this point, he stopped responding to me, so I called Alex directly. He said they would re-detail my car and reimburse me for all the Uber trips I needed to take due to their mistakes. I understand that some of these issues were not their fault directly, but at the end of the day, they should be checking these things and are ultimately responsible. They should not be trying to sell a car that has already been sold nor selling a car with broken AC. They made an attempt to remedy the situation by fixing the AC and offering a reimbursement. However, it took a great deal of effort to have anything get done. It took multiple e-mails and phone calls before I finally received my check over 6 weeks later. I understand Drake tried and may have been limited in what he could do as a salesperson, but Alex was the manager and provided terrible customer service. Avoid Bronx Honda; try any other branch first. read more

This is a review to amend a previous review in which I gave this particular Honda dealership 1 star. Well, I'm still only giving this place 1 star. But first, there's something I need to say: Peter, the dealer in which we leased our Accord from, isn't the problem here. He's actually ridiculously helpful and has been nothing short of kind to us. He's helped us get our car quickly and with little hassle and has handled all the negotiations very professional. We NEED more people like Peter at this dealership. In fact, if I could rate specific dealers here on Yelp, Peter would receive 5 stars for how amazing he has been to us. DO NOT use Peter as a scapegoat. ---------------- With that said, the 1 star review I am giving is not based on Peter's performance (which has been great) but it actually reflects this dealership, its service, management, and how terrible its customer service truly is. Today we got a particularly nasty call from the General Manager... This guy called and yelled--actually yelled--at us for giving them a bad review before and told us off to never come back to their dealership again. "Just stay in Queens to buy your cars, don't ever come back to the Bronx." Wasn't planning on it. Talk about bad customer service. Who has the nerve to call up a customer to angrily yell about a bad review written about your dealership? read more

Bronx Honda needs to go out of business. My husband and I visited this establishment when I was 7 months pregnant in search of a new car. We walked in and was greeted by NO ONE....ok fine. We continued to walk around the showroom looking at all the minivans. Still NO SALESPERSON. We explored minivans... opening the doors/trunk...trying out the driver seat..still NO HELP! We proceeded to walk/waddle outside to see the rest of the cars and still NO ONE asked if we needed help. The entire 30 minutes we spent in the showroom NO ONE HELPED US! There were plenty of sales people walking around. One was even on his cellphone in one of the cars! My husband and I left fed up and purchased our 2016 Honda Odyssey from Honda New Rochelle. Listen and take heed to the reviews written about how you will be treated by the staff. Read the letter someone attached. I should have. Personally, I would NEVER lease or buy from this place. I have been leasing for many many years. This is the first time that I sat down to work out the terms of a lease and the salesperson writes info on a piece of paper and not a sales agreement form. Each time we visited the showroom (2x), we had to sit around for over an hour while the sales person walked to and from their desk checking on numbers. WTF?! Why not just let us meet with the person feeding you these numbers since it appears that you're just a figure head. This salesperson didn't even have the wherewithal to tell us exactly how much to bring when we were coming to pick up the car. If I'm a salesperson, I believe I would be better prepared to give the customer the ultimate experience. I just think Professionalism 101 should teach sales staff to respect your customers time and intelligence. Treat ALL customers the way you wish to be treated. We just want to get the car and go. So after another round of talking, our salesperson tmwalks us over to the finance guy's office. The only thing he did was to markup the amount of the monthly lease payment--period. He too didn't have a sales agreement. WTF is wrong with these people. Finance dude and the salesperson didn't have the decency, professionalism or sales acumen to provide us with the car's warranty however get this-- finance guy certainly tried to up sell additional "in case" coverage. In case? In case I need a new tire replaced? In case I need a new windshield? So I should spend an additional $2700 over the course of 3 years so that I can get a new tire or fix a crack in my windshield? Puh-lese. I don't live in a war zone or on a construction site. I have full coverage, AAA and AARP and have designated parking. Why can't you Just tell me about the warranty? After this upsale, we again had to go back to the salesperson desk to do what? WAIT over an additional hour. We just sat and waited. Just more bullsh^t. Their actions are already showing me that they don't respect me. This experience was BAD and the wait time was BAD. I got the impression that they are used to treating customers as if they are doing the customers a favor. Even if some customers do not have stellar credit, you should NOT treat them poorly. When we were waiting I noticed that the customers and staff looked like people of color. The service provided to us was less than stellar. I respect myself and so for people who look like me to provide me with sh^tty service speaks volumes about their own sense of self. What I experienced certainly taught me that this is NOT a place for me to lease my next vehicle. I'm used to leasing with people who respect a customer's need to save money while the customer takes into consideration the need for the business to make money. In short, a place where we meet in the middle in order to hash out a deal. The funny part is that it was our intent to lease 2 vehicles but they act as if they are doing you a favor. The amount of time taken to lease a vehicle is absurd (over 3 hours). This is 2023--it ain't brain surgery. Get out the sales agreement and write down your numbers. Periodt. Nope. Never again. Unfortunately I was unable to sway the relative to not deal with these people but on a side note this dealership lost 3 customers. The person who leased will not be a returning customer; the 2nd lease we were intending to do will not happen and myself, who's lease will be coming to an end in December. I will stick to dealerships that I find more reputable and respectful. Good luck to anyone who goes there. Tips: 1. know your credit score before hand(bring a copy if you can--its free to get your credit score--just Google how to get my credit score 2. If leasing, you DON'T need additional "in case" coverage. 3. Get everything in writing on a Sales agreement before leaving a deposit. 4. Ask how much you will need to bring with you on the day you plan to pick up the vehicle. 5. Ask for a copy of the warranty and have them explain to you what it means. I plan to never ever go back to this place but for those of you who do--Good luck! read more

Was looking to upgrade myself from an accord to a pilot and Nanci Edmondson helped me out. In fact I have purchased 3 cars from her and wouldn't go to anyone else there. She makes the process very easy and gives me value for the money I spend there. Bronx Honda as a whole is very good with service and prices compared to other Honda dealerships. I will never go anywhere else. read more

I'm writing this review cause it definitely needs to be said. This dealership has the worst service I've ever encountered. I wanted to upgrade my current lease with another cry but with more features, I did drop in early before termination so I know I had to drop some cash. I drop six g"s and they didn't even offer me any free oil changes. Then after the purchase from the salesmen up to the financial manager took over a week and a half just to give my insurance the bill of sale. They drop it in the glove compartment and didn't tell me. Then they didn't even have and up to date owners manual that's supposed to be in the glove box. I had to call multiple times just to speak with the salesmen just to get the Manuel. The Manuel is date for 2018 instead of 19. The worst unorganized dealership I've ever dealt with. read more

If there was an option to give no stars or negative stars... This place would never get even one star from me. They are a bunch of crooks and schemers. I had been leasing from Honda of New Rochelle for nine years and never had a problem with returning cars and leasing a new one. So I thought I'd try Bronx Honda since they are much closer to my home. WHAT A HUGE MISTAKE that was! The day I went I was assisted by Ritchie. I told him numerous times I owed about four months left on the vehicle I was returning. Honda of New Rochelle always took over the remaining payments and I didn't have to worry about anything while leasing a new vehicle. About two weeks after I left with my new vehicle, I receive a letter in the mail saying I owe American Honda $1200. I went back to Bronx Honda to let them know what was going on and Ritchie had the nerve to tell me I never made him aware of the remaining months on my previous lease. I was then referred to one of the managers which was no help at all and was told I would receive a call from another manager which never happened. I wish I remembered their names because they would definitely be on here as well. I never received a call back from anyone at Bronx Honda and every time I called back I was given the run-around. For sake of saving my sanity and credit... I paid the $1200 for a car I no longer was in possession of as well as the fees I had already paid for the new vehicle I had leased. If you liked to get played for a fool and cheated by snakes in suits... Definitely visit Bronx Honda for a vehicle. But if you really want a Honda and a great deal and actually enjoy great customer service... I suggest taking an extra 20 minute drive to Honda of New Rochelle. Chris of Honda of New Rochelle is pretty amazing and I'll definitely be going back to him once the lease at this hell whole of a place is over! BRONX HONDA IS A RIP OFF!!!!!!!!! read more

Tried contacting a Betsy Vargas regarding a price quote. I was able to speak with her a few times, each time she said there would be an email sent with pricing. After a few calls, numerous text messages and emails, I still have not received anything. I can only assume that they do not actually want to sell cars. Either way, I have moved on to another dealership and you should too. Email from "Betsy"...I'm sure they can beat the price if they never send you one :) "At New York's Premier Honda Dealer we are entirely committed to providing you superior service. Bronx Honda will always provide: Competitive, up front, no-haggle pricing Prompt responses to your questions and concerns A simple and efficient buy experience At Bronx Honda we have our price promise guarantee. If your receive a better price in writing (email) Bronx Honda will beat it by up to $500" read more
