    December 26,2025 (Pending Snow Storm)…read more One of the most overused phrases from a car salesperson is : "Our Service Department is the BEST!". A pending snowstorm, like everyone else I depend on my car too much! Unfortunately, it's towards the end of the work day and it's an issue I can't avoid. We all have certain family and friends that you have on "speed dial". This is the sentiment I hold for Jamie Nussbaum and his wonderful staff at East Hill Subaru in Roslyn, New York. I made the call and Lisette answered. She immediately understood my issue and responded, " You know there is a snow storm coming. You need to bring your car here and we'll take care of it". Lisette is another example of a true professional that takes great pride in her position. I arrived and was greeted by Service Advisor Justin Peralta. He did the intake and assured me the car would be thoroughly checked out and I would be updated throughout the process. In a short period of time, Lorrie Santiago came to inform me that my car was ready. Lorrie Santiago is always congenial, professional and laser focused on the task at hand. Lorrie's area is highly efficient, the paperwork and fob were all ready to go. Lorrie informed me of what was completed, asked if I had any questions and personally thanked me for bringing my car to East Hills Subaru. Lorrie is very proud of this organization and it shows every time! Integrity begins at the top! Jamie Nussbaum is an extremely professional individual.His affect is always pensive yet gregarious in nature. Jamie's attention to detail is reflected in every aspect of his Service Department. The amount of pressure with work orders, pending projects, emergency customer drop-ins could make this Service Department of "FRENETIC HOT ZONE". However, to the contrary, Jamie's strong but calming presence guides his ship through another day of success for his entire team. Philip Saccio and Justin Peralta are top Service Advisors. I've been most impressed by both of these professionals. These men take their positions most seriously. The initial intakes are thorough, the process is clearly layed out with potential cost and a clear timeline is presented. Philip Saccio and Justin Peralta assure me they are dedicated to success. The man behind the curtain where all the magic happens is Sandro! I call him the "Economist-Master Technician. Sandro always has a smile along with being extremely gifted. His videos that he takes of the work he performs are extremely informative. Sandro will always give suggestions to keep my vehicle at its peak performance. Sandro's economic background is always integrated into his technical practice. It appears Sandro's daily mission is to be the best "Economist-Master Technician" every day. Mission Accomplished Sandro! Finally, I have to acknowledge Jamie Nussbaum again. He always takes a compliment and deflects to include his team. His conversations with me always demonstrates a pride he has of everyone on his team. I understand his pride in working with these great professionals. If he represented the dealership on his own then it would be 5 stars across the board. What decreased my rating significantly was the service every time we visited. The rest of the staff were extremely rude. If you walk in and smile and say hello they look at you and say you need to wait. The very last straw for me was when we were getting our car serviced and our loaner car malfunctioned and shut down a mile away from rallye. The dealership was unfortunately about to close but I called to se if they wouldn't mind waiting and the woman who answered the phone was incredibly rude and unhelpful. She told me that it was my problem. Luckily when we hung up we called back and spoke to someone else who had some courtesy. When it was time to look for another lease, I had enough. Why spend all that money to be treated like trash from half the dealership? We're in an Audi now. Audi Queens.. service was impeccable.

    Businesses live and die by their reviews, so I understand how a negative review can affect them…read more Bad reviews often are not deserved, or small issues are blown out of proportion, so I normally leave either a positive or no review. I settled on 3 stars because I am satisfied with the car I ultimately purchased. I have purchased more than 50 vehicles over the years. I've also sold multiple cars on consignment that were ultimately sold over the Internet, so I know the process. I had never purchased a car over the Internet and, after this experience, I will never do so again. I erroneously assumed that a luxury car dealer with over 15 years in business would have in place a rigorous, detailed, well-documented inspection process before offering a car for sale. Their website boasts "We offer a level of customer service that is unparalleled in the industry". This review can't accurately convey the frustration and follow-up required to get to the finish line on this car. No individual issue taken on its own was important. But cumulatively they added up to a nebulous, tiresome, and frustrating process. I emailed the owner Lance, and sales manager Stu multiple times. The outcome might have been different if either of them replied. So, if you are willing to go through the process, you will probably, like I did, get a decent car at the end of the day, but the process is exhausting.

Our experience began with a most wonderful, honest, and gentlemanly salesman, Tommy Kim, who can be described as nothing less than an absolute gentleman. He was great throughout the entire process ...all the way from purchase to pick up. Additionally, the service provided by both Nick Mignano, Manager, and Chris Volonakis, finance manager clearly surpassed any service we have experienced at any other dealership. As indicated, in addition to the 2025 Rav4 XLE that we had just purchased and picked up, we had previously purchased a 2011 Highlander, a 2013 Rav4 Limited, and a 2020 Rav4 Hybrid. All of our vehicles are regularly serviced at Penn Toyota. Our experience at Penn Toyota throughout the years has indeed made us feel like we are part of the Penn Toyota family. I was instructed to leave a voice mail, apparently no one around to take my call. It is hard to believe they are selling cars at 10:30 am, and all F&I staff are too busy to answer the phone. I love PennToyota but am annoyed I could not get a simple question answered.
