    My new 2019 Honda Civic Type-R

    A few years back, I worked with Marlon Maurasse to purchase my first Honda (that didn't have a cutting deck) - he was extremely knowledgeable about the car I was interested in, and worked tirelessly to get me the best deal on that 2018 Honda Civic Si. No pressure here, no hard sell, zero complaints as a customer. Post purchase, he followed up to make sure I was happy with my new car (which I was, very). I only ever brought the car back for regular oil changes and tire rotations - from check-in (online) through drop-off and pick-up it was a smooth and quick transaction. Excellent job on washing the car and cleaning it after the service as well! When it came time for me to upgrade, I immediately emailed Marlon once more and yet again - he was on point in answering all my questions and addressing any concerns I had in regard to the 2019 Honda Civic Type R that I was interested in. I did look at another dealership for a second opinion, but they simply couldn't compare as far as service and price. I also had the pleasure of working with Jami Potis, the Delivery Coordinator at Middletown Honda. She made sure all my paperwork was in order, confirmed that the car was configured how I requested, and also showed a wealth of knowledge in explaining the features of my new Type R. What an outstanding experience! Of all the dealerships and staff I've worked with over the years, Middletown Honda has far and away exceeded every expectation I could have had. I'm a repeat customer, will happily return again and will absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a new car.

She was disabled for…read moreabout 30 minutes before a Good Samaritan helped move the vehicle to the side of the road in front of the dealership. I showed up and parked in front as I attempted to diagnose the issue to hopefully get the car started to at least get to a parking lot. Ironically, staff from surrounding businesses came over to offer assistance. The car place, nope. I watched as employees came outside to take their breaks, walk the lot and not once did someone stop and ask if we were okay. They did look. I sent my wife off as I waited for the tow. I was able to get the car started and as I let it run, I went to ask an employee if I was able to park in the lot for safety. He ignored me and walked away, looking over his shoulder to see where I was. I sat for an hour before the tow driver arrived. He even laughed that the dealership had a great opportunity to go for the assist and sell a new car. Nope. I wasn't thrilled the last time I visited them to entertain vehicles. I definitely will not consider them moving forward. It's not up to the business to assist a disable vehicle that's not one of their lot, it's not their job. However when the vehicle is right in front of your showroom, human decency would say to check on them. Especially when you have mechanics that might be able to diagnose, assist and make a few dollars in the process.

    From a neighbor's experience seems like these people are in the business of trying to take…read moreadvantage of senior citizens. a customer went to get an oil change and inspection. according to them the car did not pass inspection and found almost 3,000 dollars worth of repairs on a 30,000 mile vehicle.when she tried to take the car back to maybe take it to a different place they refused to give her back the car took off the inspection sticker so she couldn't drive it out and tried to sell her a new car. They were not very nice but they did give her a loaner when time came to pick up her car she presented a personal check and they wouldn't accept it. they were very rude in reminding her that it was written somewhere on the repair contract. now this person is on a very fixed income and the thought of those people taking advantage of senior citizens is shameful. I was thinking my next car is going to be a Subaru just NOT from Johnstons Toyota.

Both Toyota & Honda reps weren't as pleasant as they once were when I said I wasn't going to buy anything YET, though I had every intention of buying sometime over the next few months. When I stopped in this dealership I told the sales guy up front, I'm only looking and I am in no way ready to buy anything. Not only did he respect that decision he gave me A LOT of his time showing me the car I was interested in and all its features & functionality. I expected him to just be like, "There is the car, look and get out of here stop wasting my time!" But nope, the sales guy, Don, was super patient, kind and never pressured me to buy. He gave me pricing options, gave me ideas of what I'd be spending based on what I wanted but never ever pressured me in any way. I thanked him and said I'd be in touch in several months to buy. That was the end of that, Don never ever harassed me or pressured me to buy anything. Well sooner than expected I stopped in true to my word that I'd be back to buy from my sales guy. I went ahead and purchased the car I was looking at and the entire transaction was absolutely pleasant. My sales guy Don was amazing and his finance team was just as spectacular, but I guess finance always goes well when you have great credit; LOL! I know dealers get pooped on for service but the sales team at this location is superb. I can only hope and pray my service experiences are just as pleasant. All I expect from service is a smile and competent mechanical techs that can take care of my new wheels and keep her running smooth for years to come.

We planned to browse, with no intention of driving home in a new car. Within minutes of walking around the lot, we were greeted by a salesperson, Joe Alston. I'll admit, I'm not usually a fan of car salespeople, based on past experiences. With Joe, however, a relaxed mood kinda clicked right away upon introduction. Without going into every detail, the 2026 models I saw online weren't immediately available, but Joe showed us the 2025s, which were essentially the same. They weren't our preferred color, but we were able to take one for a test drive, taking turns behind the wheel. Joe excelled at making us feel comfortable and familiar with the vehicle during the test drive. When we returned, I noticed the XRT model in my wife's desired color and pointed it out. She originally preferred the other trim primarily because of the rims. Joe informed us that if we qualified, we could get the 2025 with 0% interest. My wife's response was, "For 0% interest, I can learn to love those rims!" Joe got the keys and showed us the car. Then, we checked our credit. We qualified for 0% and proceeded to the paperwork. Joe was also incredibly helpful in dealing with a rather underqualified person from our insurance company. He kept them on task while also ensuring all the important details, some of which we hadn't considered, were covered. Moving on to the finance officer, whose name I unfortunately don't recall, everything went smoothly. He clearly explained all the available add-ons without being overly pushy. After that, we went to the delivery area where another employee, whose name also escapes me, explained the vehicle's basic features. His process and thorough explanation of the features we weren't familiar with were outstanding. He was patient, answered all our questions, and ensured my wife felt completely confident driving the car off the lot. My wife has been driving the vehicle for three weeks now and loves it. We both appreciate the sleek design of the display center and how it doesn't protrude above the dashboard like in many other vehicles. She's also very pleased with her choice of the XRT trim, especially with two grandsons aged 4 and 6. The seats and interior are definitely kid-friendly and easy to clean. In conclusion, my wife and I highly recommend the Hyundai Tucson XRT, and especially Suresky Hyundai, to anyone. Ed & Kim Doyle

I'm 59 years old, so do the math on how many cars I've owned. When done right, car 'shopping' can be fun, but as we all know, not always. Car 'buying' is always much more challenging. And sometimes downright awful. Hard to find the model you want, rude or inattentive salespeople. And when I know more about the car than they do - which is way too often, can be super frustrating. And then the time it takes to complete the transaction on pick-up day can be perplexing, lengthy, and otherwise maddening. I share all this because my experience at Orange County BMW (Harriman, NY) was the OPPOSITE of that. It was just terrific! My salesman (Jon Lanzkron) and the general manager (Sami Ozder) were incredibly friendly, helpful, understanding of my situation, and HIGHLY engaged and responsive. I wanted to design my own spec on the car, which can be tricky from a timing standpoint. These guys walked me through the whole process and made it fun and seamless. It gets even better. On pick-up day, it only took about 60 minutes to complete the paperwork, shift my insurance, etc. It could have probably been even quicker, but I'm kind of chatty. Then the BMW Genius did an expert job walking me through the car's awesome tech features and then I was on my way. I cannot say enough about Jon, Sami and the Orange County BMW dealership.

    On April 7, I dropped my 2024 X5 40i drive, vehicle off to address a " check engine" light…read more Immediate interaction with Nick lede to spend $900 for an oil change, spark plugs and brake fluid drain. After conferring with Nick, he cleared the "error". I went to pick up my car the next day, drove off and the engine light came on again. I reached out to Nick and he scheduled me 2 weeks out for a loaner to assess the error message. I dropped my car off April 21, 2026. Nick assured me he would reach out by the following day. It's been 2 weeks, I haven't received a phone call or update on the status of my vehicle. I contacted the dealership every day after April 22nd, was transferred to a number, where no one picked up! However, I did speak to the Service Manager Sophia, who was no help! Oh and to add insult to injury, i reviewed the live activity for my car, IT'S BEEN PARKED SINCE I DROPPED IT OFF !! As of the writing of this review, I am disappointed and have forwarded a letter to the General Manager, Corporate and BBB, for resolution! I don't recommend anyone come here to service their vehicle.

And I saw a MIL light (engine light) came on after an oil change the week before, and made a call. She said she would make it urgent to get me in. Unfortunately, she called back and said not till Monday. Maybe I could have gotten some help over the phone being that it's the holiday weekend, but was simply told not till Monday. On Monday I gave her the key. Later, She came to the lounge and told me what they did and did not find, but not how much I had to pay for that service. They never told me I had to pay for checking the glitch! Was it my fault the light came on? Was the MIL light faulty? But I went to the window to get the keys and was told to pay. Why didn't the service person tell me that? Her reply was " Any time you come here you will be charged a fee unless it's under a warranty for a defect ." But I was just here a week ago for an oil change. "He ran a Diagnostic on the vehicle you have to pay for his time." Let's be real: he hooked up the car to the machine and walked away to work on another car till it was done. The fee could have been waived, I spent that morning trying to get a reasonable car rental to get to work. After sharing my story with my brother similar incident at his Neighborhood Nissan but he did get the fee waived.

    Coming back here to update my review…read more Previously, I struggled to get in contact with Honda over the phone. But you really just have to get in touch with directly a Service Advisor or head over to their online appt portal for help. This has been a breeze. Note: there are multiple Joes working at DCH Honda, but they're all excellent from my experience! The original Joe I called scheduled me immediately for an inspection, oil change, and complimentary tire rotation. That removed a huge weight off my shoulders since I needed an inspection ASAP. The Joe who took care of me at the service dept desk answered all my questions and got me in and out of there quick. The person who worked on my car did a really nice job explaining the services in a video.

He confirms that he changed it, and wrote it down on my papers too. Lets me know it is going to be a 3 hour job. I have to stalk after 1pm, 4 hours later, no one answered the phone for an hour. FINALLY at 2pm I get someone that says the tech will reach out shortly. ANOTHER 2 hours go by, and I call John back just for him to have all the audacity in the world and say "I called you back several times to let you know it was ready", I then remind him of his dumb joke earlier that day and ask what number did you call because I have no missed calls. He replies, it wasn't even your number, you can come pick up. Completely disregarding my request to have the tech call me to discuss an LKAS alarm on my dashboard, had no problem charging me the diagnostic fee I had originally planned to discuss with the tech when he was supposed to call me. Only to be disregarded by John when he let me know 'don't worry I could apply that payment to the repair when I returned to have the windshield camera recalibrated.' He then lets me know the laundry list of recommendations I need, including an oil change (The car was at 90%, I had a full tune up 45 days prior) and just dismissive. I was not going to argue, I paid and left. Thanks for asking! No more than 2 days after this recall repair and minimal usage, my car dashboard has had all the alarm notifications go off. I call him back to let him know and ask what happened during this recall repair appointment because this has never happened to my car and he was even more dismissive letting me know the errors I am seeing now have nothing to do with what happened at the appointment. To my surprise, I take it to a trusted mechanic who lets me know nothing looked new in their supposed repairs and it has been a long week worth of trips to the mechanic this week because the errors continue coming back on the dashboard. I wouldn't trust this dealership with a bicycle.
