The Closest Thing to Italy Without the Jet Lag!…read more As an Italian, I'm admittedly a bit of a pizza snob, but Doppio Zero hits the mark every single time. We've been here a few times now, and it's always top-tier. The pizza dough is soft, thin, and remarkably fresh--exactly like what you'd get in Italy. On our most recent date night, we showed up 30 minutes ahead of our reservation hoping to just grab a spot at the bar, but the team graciously seated us right away. Our server, Marco, was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations that complemented our choices perfectly. Pacing throughout the night was spot-on; we never felt rushed, nor were we ever left waiting. We started with the olives (the lemon zest flavor is incredible) and the prosciutto and burrata. The starters were delicious, and adding a splash of the table olive oil and vinegar to the bread and burrata made it even better. For the main event, the spicy soppressata on the Carne Mia pizza paired amazingly with the fruit-forward Primitivo Di Manduria wine. We capped off the evening with two Affogatos--my husband added a shot of Baileys to his--making it the absolute perfect end to a wonderful date night. Authentic, fresh, and consistent. We'll be back soon!

The menu is enticing and I look forward to returning and sampling more items! The space is well-appointed and sparkling clean. Outdoor seating is available. We especially enjoyed sitting in the comfortable bar area. It was delightful to be greeted by a real Italian... YAY! And our server was friendly and attentive. There is parking on the street and behind the establishments. The street is vibrant and it's fun to be there.

We placed a delivery order for a jumbo pizza to feed about 11 people at work, and it arrived fresh,…read morehot, and delicious. One of the best things is that you can choose up to four flavors on a single jumbo pizza. We went with cheese, vegetarian, Hawaiian, and combo, which gave everyone plenty of options. The jumbo pizza cost about $90, plus the delivery tip, and it was absolutely worth it. The portions were generous, the quality was great, and everyone enjoyed it. We can't wait to order from them again in the future!

My work, a few days ago, ordered a party size pizza for the staff. Our work place consist of multiple buildings. We gave the delivery person directions on how to get to where our building is prior to him coming. But he refused to deliver to the building where we were and wanted us to go pick up the pizza across campus. We explained to him that where he wants us to pick up the pizza was far from where we are located at. He still went to the building where he wanted to go. Then got mad at us when we ask him again to deliver where our building is. He was telling us off the whole time while handing us the pizza and then had the audacity to tell us that he only takes tips that is $10 or more, no less. I have NEVER met someone who is so entitled and rude. If it was up to me, I wouldn't have tipped him at all. But we already pooled tip money so we just gave it to him. Our work have ordered pizza from this place so many times but after the incident, we will be looking elsewhere to order pizza. Definitely think twice if you're ordering delivery from here. Nightmare.

Finally stopped in after driving by this place for years. I had a coupon from a Willow Glen High…read morefundraiser, so it felt like the right time to check it off the list. I went on a Sunday afternoon post-church, and it was pretty slammed lots of kids and football fans. I actually had to ask someone to wipe down a table for us, so definitely a "help yourself" kind of vibe. My friend and I had a bit of a communication breakdown. I was thinking a light salad; he was thinking beer and pizza. Since they don't do wine by the glass, I ended up with a $17 mini bottle. It was okay, but $17 for a single-serve is a stretch, not exactly a wine lover's paradise. The food was a mixed bag. The pizza was definitely the star; you can tell it's made with love and not some big-box chain stuff. The salad was fresh, but the chicken was pretty bland. I didn't mind it, but my friend was not impressed. Between the wine and the lack of listening on his part, even with my coupon, the bill hit $71 for a pizza, a salad, and a tiny bottle of wine. I miss the days when a casual lunch didn't hurt the wallet so much! Still, the decor is cool and it's a solid spot for a group hangout.
