I contacted them on Yelp, explained the situation, and they were able to meet my mother (after verifying I was the legitimate owner) within an hour. Not only did they unlock the door but they immediately made copies of that bottom lock key The full service was less than $100 and they were extremely responsive and worked with me to get what they needed while I was literally on a plane hundreds of miles away. Okay... no harm done, but this should be a 2-star review…read more Be aware that Angelia's is ONLY a mobile service. I don't see any mention of it on his Yelp page. It's a guy in a truck who'll come to your house or car or whatever, and that's awesome... but he should be CLEAR about it so people don't waste their (and his) time with other needs. I have 3 new, uninstalled, locks to re-key and called to get Angelia's address so I could bring them by. To his credit, he told me up front it's a $65 charge just to show up, then a nominal re-keying charge per lock. I told him the locks were still in their packages, and that I didn't want to pay for travel, and he informed me it's just a mobile locksmith, no office/workshop where I could bring the locks. The rates seemed fair, and I don't begrudge the guy his travel charge, but I didn't need or want to pay for mobile locksmith service and wouldn't have called him had I known there's no there there. Then I asked him if he could recommend another good locksmith, a colleague or someone he's friend's with perhaps, with a storefront. He laughed with unconcealed derision, and said, "You think I'd send business to a competitor? I don't _have_ any friends. MY FRIEND IS MONEY. You can look it up yourself." I said, Yep... you're right. I will. He wasn't intentionally offensive about it, but I'll never call him again. He's got no sense of serving the needs of his (potential) customers and I wouldn't want him opening my car door. I've had vendors refer me to their competitors when my needs didn't fit their services, even when there might be some competitive overlap. I always respect a business that does that, and I do it with my own business... but this guy? It's all about the CASH, baby. Again... I didn't use his service, and he may be the best locksmith ever to walk the earth. The third star is a gift given his brushoff treatment.

He performed a 29-point inspection of my entire garage door system and shared with me in great detail all the components and their function. Ethan then worked up a quote and I agreed on the spot to have the work performed that same day. I ended up getting an all-new motor, brackets, springs, keypads, rollers, etc. When I tell you I could not be happier it's the God's honest truth. In a post COVID world having a TRUE PROFESSIONAL in 2024 is like a breath of fresh air. A1 Door charges a high premium and in my opinion it's worth every penny. I about hit the floor and called him out but he said that's the cost. So I wouldn't get the cops called on me, I paid it, and was going to call the manager to get it squared away. I ended up speaking to Robert who is the owner of the Ashland branch and explained to him that I was expecting a $70 quote not a $600 bill and the garage door was still not working. He said I signed a contract, but I called him out on that because I never signed anything and he admitted to the tech drawing line through my signature spot. Fraud? He then even agreed that I should've got a quote first, and even told me I should've refused paying and called him directly ( impossible to get a hold of anybody at that company as they use a third-party ). I requested half of a refund which I thought was generous. He strung me along for a month and I could never get in touch with him. I had to even fake a tech call from my wife's phone number to actually get a call from him. In the end, he blamed the company owner on not giving me any sort of refund. Absolutely horrible service and borderline illegal. I've submitted a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau of Virginia to have them handle it.

This business will take your money give you faulty parts and blame it on you when it no longer works. I only used this service bc Lexus of Richmond sent them out to replace my car key, sold me on a key fob which I spent nearly $200 for and within 3 months the remote no longer worked. Replaced batteries only to realize that the remote deprogrammed (I've purchased key fobs from other businesses and never had to get reprogrammed 3 times in one year) I had no problem going to them due to the malfunctioning remote (travelled 30 mins) everything worked fine, then a couple months later the fob doesn't work again. I called and was grateful I only had to go 6 mins away to get reprogrammed only for 5 days later I go to unlock/start my truck in 20 degree weather w 3 kids and the doors wouldn't unlock. Texted and called asked could I please come to them today due to being 9 months pregnant and delivering my baby in the morning to get reprogrammed and was ignored sent to voicemail and told to stop calling. So now I'm left to use a key to manually unlock the driver door rush to start otherwise the alarm will go off and then unlock the other doors to let my kids in the car (2 under 1 years old) in 20 degree weather. Mike was my initial contact the first 2 interactions. These last two time was 2 different guys Mike was no where in sight.
