A friend was visiting Boston for the first time and needed a laundromat, so we picked this spot as it is a one minute walk from Yafa Bakery where we were planning to enjoy a unique breakfast experience. It's a pretty spacious design with several washers and dryers of different sizes and relatively clean space, also not too busy for a Sunday morning. Could definitely use clearer instructions though, especially for how to dry beyond 10 minutes --we luckily figured it out but it might be frustrating for first timers. Also major tip: it's cash only for the card which we didn't know ahead of time and there was no-one from management on site to help. We are incredibly grateful to Yafa for generously spotting us with enough so my friend could get everything done before having to catch her flight. When we tried to pay them back--they gifted her some fresh bread instead! Doing laundry never felt so heart warming and we left feeling that this laundromat's best feature is proximity to a place that believes that kindness is just as nourishing as the food that they serve. read more

Newer, good looking machines. $1 to get a card to use in the machines. $13.49 for jumbo washer, $10.49 to wash for big washing machine, 7.99 for medium washers, and $5.49 for small (regular) sized washers. $.49 or $.64 per 10 minutes to dry (size of dryer). Nice place, has a parking lot. Plenty of outlets inside to charge devices while waiting for laundry to be done. Has chairs. And it has a bathroom!!! read more

Beware that the Yelp page is wrong and that credit cards are not accepted. No worries though, there is an ATM right inside for convenient cash grabbing. I came here today for the first time and the gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. There is free wifi, refreshments and snacks for purchase while you wait. You buy the laundromat card for $1 and then add value to it so that you can actually wash and dry your clothes. Detergent/fabric softener is available for $1-$2(you purchase with the laundromat card). Machines are clean, pretty easy to use. I have no complaints, everything was pretty straightforward. This establishment is always clean and friendly, clean clothes R a must N the machines are clean and not crowded . They have a bathroom . I have been coming here for a few months without any issues. Recently I started noticing that the balance on my washing card they make you use seemed "off" from week to week. Last week I put my card in and it said zero balance, which was strange because I was positive I had enough left on there for a washer at least. Besides, even if I was misremembering, there should have been something on it. I put $20 on it (because you can only use cash to reload the card) and wrote down my ending balance: 9.36. Today I tried to start a wash before adding value and my balance was 2.61. I have not used the card between then and now so I'm not sure where my six dollars went. I will be finding another laundromat after this but if you go here, keep a sharp eye on your card balances. read more

I have been a regular here since it opened. One night I put the same amount of soap in three washers. One of them was overflowing with soap and would not drain. I asked the guy working if he could start it again so that I could get the soap out. He said no and that I had to pay for it again. I then called the corporate number listed on the sign. They were absolutely no help. Since the place is cash only I had to use the ATM machine in the building and pay the 2.00 fee. I think it's absolutely ridiculous that they would rather lose a regular customer all over a 4 dollar wash, especially when there are many other laundromats in the area. I do not recommend this laundromat. I will be taking my business elsewhere and I recommend you do as well. read more

DO NOT SEND YOUR UPS PACKAGES HERE! They are listed as a UPS Access Point location, which means you can choose to send your packages here to be picked up. When I went to get my package, their scanner wasn't connecting to the wifi and they told me to come back. It was pretty annoying that even though I showed up and had the proper identification, I wasn't allowed to get my stuff simply because of a technology issue on their end. Honestly, if the lady handled the situation better instead of blowing me off and acting as if it were my fault, then I would've gladly come back. I showed up again a few days later and it was a different man working. He was completely confused as to why I didn't have a UPS "sorry we missed you" sticker. I tried to explain that I chose to have my package shipped directly to them (not my house), so I didn't have a sticker and we ended up talking in circles due to the language barrier. Note: I don't want to blame them for having that language barrier -- I just think this whole UPS Access Point thing needs to be better communicated to all their workers and they need to work out the kinks. In the meantime, avoid sending your UPS stuff here. read more

The good: - all new washers and driers - plenty of parking (if you don't happen to live across the street) - free wifi - friendly staff - very clean - not very crowded so far (even on weekends) - card operated (no need to hoard quarters) - next door to Forge Baking Company The bad: - Showcase Laundromat a few blocks up Somerville Ave is still marginally cheaper with its free driers. This is a new laundromat in Somerville. The place is very clean and all the machines are brand new. They have 3-4 sizes of washers, it's very easy to use. They have free Wifi. The guy works at the place is very friendly and helpful. All machine require a card to operate. While you're waiting for your clothes, you can just walk down to Forge Baking Company where is a very nice cafe. read more
