They carefully explained the different electric vehicle options, features, and safety considerations, which made the purchasing process smooth and enjoyable. I truly appreciated their professionalism and attention to detail. The quality of the electric vehicle is superb. It feels solid, well-built, and very comfortable to ride. The acceleration is smooth, the battery life meets my expectations, and the overall performance is excellent. The brakes, lights, and other safety features give me confidence during every ride. City Grounds showed me what real customer service looks like. To be honest, the issue I ran into was not originally their fault, but as a frustrated customer, I made it their problem anyway. I was upset, used language I should not have used, and even accused them of being a scam. Through all of that, their team stayed calm, listened to me, and kept treating me with respect when I did not exactly make it easy. What meant the most to me was that they accepted my apologies more than once and continued working the issue instead of brushing me off. They took the time to understand that this was not just about a bike part or an order problem, it was costing me time with my son, and that mattered to me. Once they realized there was a real issue, they stepped up and did what they could to make it right. That kind of patience and professionalism is rare. City Grounds did not just solve a problem, they helped turn around a bad situation I had let spiral, and they did it with grace. I ordered a bike from City Grounds as a Christmas gift. It cost approximately $1,600. It arrived with scratches and cosmetic damage. Because it was meant to be a gift, I chose to return it and paid for return shipping. After receiving the bike, their returns team claimed it was damaged due to "improper packaging" and denied the refund. They are now keeping the bike and my money. I carefully followed their return instructions. The bike was already scratched when it arrived to me. When I tried to escalate the situation: * The manager was rude. * Rose refused to provide ownership contact information. * They hid behind their return policy instead of addressing the fact that the item arrived damaged. Reading through other reviews, this does not appear to be an isolated incident. For a company selling premium-priced bikes, the customer service experience has been deeply disappointing. If you're considering purchasing from them, understand that if anything goes wrong, you may be on your own. read more

UPDATE: So after speaking with FedEx on 2 occasions the past two days, it has come to my attention that CG never created a claim with FedEx for a missing package. CG has flat out lied to me in multiple emails claiming they have created a missing claim. This is definitely not a trustworthy business whatsoever. I purchaed an SE bike on August 5th, 2025. The label was created August 6th, 2025. Today is now August 16th, 2025. Customer service at city grounds said they indeed gave the package to fedex??? Fedex claims they do not have the package, and there is not a scan on it from pickup. I have been told to wait on FedEx and their investigation which can take 10 business days. I need wheels so I can cruise. They dont care, they only care about their product. This clearly falls on City Grounds for not confirming that the package was indeed scanned by FedEx. FedEx owes them a package or reimbursed money. City Grounds owes me a bike that should have been shipped out immediately upon learning City Grounds/FedEx made a mistake. Beware! I will never purchase from these guys again. Still no resolution. They have just taken my money. read more

Purchased a bike through their website, no issues there... good selection, I caught a great deal so I'm definitely happy about that. Went to pick up my bike yesterday and everything went very smoothly. Friendly interaction and very helpful. My only blunder was not checking to make sure I had everything that was included. They have you sign off that you've received everything before you leave, but I was just so excited to get my bike home that I didn't notice I was missing the plate number. Bike was returned with damage After picking up my e-bike, I noticed a deep scratch on the frame and marks on the Shimano Altus derailleur. It also appeared that someone attempted to cover up the scratch with paint instead of informing me. When I raised the issue, they denied responsibility. 2. Pricing does not match their website Their website clearly lists $30 per brake adjustment. I had both front and rear brakes adjusted, so the expected total should have been $60. However, I was initially told to pay $40 per brake ($80 total). Only after I showed them their own website pricing did they reduce the price by $10, and I ended up paying $70. The receipt reflects this "discount," which only happened after I pointed out the discrepancy. Even then, the final price was still higher than what is advertised. 3. Lack of transparency and accountability Between the unexplained damage and inconsistent pricing, this experience felt dishonest and unprofessional. I have documentation (website screenshot and receipt) to support this. I would recommend others double-check pricing in advance and inspect their bike carefully before leaving. **Update after owner response:** After reading the owner's reply, I want to clarify several key points for accuracy and transparency. First, the owner described my bike as a "one-year-old used bike," which is incorrect. I have proof of purchase from late December 2025 showing it was purchased brand new. I will be uploading documentation to support this. Misrepresenting a customer's property in a public response is concerning. Second, the claim that external parties (Beeline and Rad Power) concluded no damage was caused is presented without any supporting documentation. In contrast, I have maintained photo evidence and receipts. Readers can draw their own conclusions when only one side provides verifiable proof. Third, regarding pricing: regardless of internal explanations about brake types, the publicly listed pricing does not match what was initially quoted. The adjustment to the final bill only occurred after I referenced their website, and even then, the total remained inconsistent with advertised rates. Nate and Don at Jax Bicycle Center are the definition of professionalism and kindness…read more Nate provided me with a replacement 288 mm spoke for my bike and said, "Try this. If it doesn't turn out to be the right one, come back with the wheel and we'll get you squared away." It ended up not being the correct spoke, so I returned the next day. Don took care of me, found the correct replacement spoke, and removed my threaded freewheel using the proper freewheel removal tool so I could lace the new spoke into the drive side of my rear wheel. They didn't just sell me parts--they took the time to help me learn and get my bike back on the road. These guys perform a real service to the community. I'm working on lowering my blood pressure and getting healthier, and because of their help I was able to get back on my bike. Today my boys and I rode 6 miles on the trails, and that wouldn't have happened without Nate and Don. My boys say a big thank you because Dad can take them biking again. I've double checked my inbox/junk etc. and ABSOLUTELY nothing was offered to "make it right" other than a shrug from the manager. While I understand employees were busy assisting other customers, a simple greeting or acknowledgment would have gone a long way. During our time there, customers who arrived after us appeared to receive assistance first, particularly those interested in electric bikes. We continued to wait patiently and did not make an issue of it. Eventually, as an employee walked by, I politely asked a very simple question, whether the store offered delivery services. Rather than briefly answering or directing us to someone who could help, he responded, "I'm busy with another customer right now," without making eye contact. The interaction made us feel like an inconvenience The question would have helped us determine whether we were ready to move forward with purchasing. A little acknowledgment and basic customer service would have made a significant difference. Based on this experience, we will be taking our business elsewhere and would not return.
