I've taken in my cars for minor things to larger maintenance matters and inspections. Oil changes and transmission servicing are quick and simple. Never a hassle, they will give you the service you asked for and will advise you of any issues that they observe, but will not force you to receive servicing for other issues. I've brought in my Corolla for heavy work such as replacing motor mounts, renewing the brake components, repairing axles and control arm issues. They absolutely make sure your vehicle runs smooth and will not turn break apart like Lego pieces. *Even better since I was able to purchase my own parts and get servicing completed within the same day. When I used to bring in my MR2, they did all the necessary work when an issue came up. They taught me why something didn't work or made a funny noise, and troubleshooted the problems with ease. I had a feeling a mechanic nearby was trying to scam me, and they were. All four o2 sensors don't just blow out of the blue. I called a bunch of shops for quotes, this was the only shop that not only admitted there was likely an underlying issue- but that we can look at the car together so they can show me. I drove over and they looked at my car immediately, lifted her up and showed me one of the o2 sensors had popped out of the exhaust, a very easy and fairly cheap fix. I've been coming to this shop for about 8 years with different cars. I like to get there early or call ahead of time because they do get busy (being great priced and reliable). Rough estimate was basically the same as the price paid and at least for me the rough estimate included parts AND labor. I was pleasantly surprised and was even shown what they were fixing. Need some aftermarket parts installed on my car. Called around, and City Garage had the best price and the soonest appointment time. I was having some suspension work done along with new brake pads and rotors installed. Took my car in around lunch on a Friday, and a few hours later my car was ready. My check emissions light and Vsa light came on, and my car felt a little shakey. I took it to the dealer first and they told me I needed a new engine plus a bunch of other stuff and my estimate was $8700. I called City Garage and spoke to Marlon and he immediately put me at ease. We had a plan and it was still way cheaper than the dealer. I towed it over and after inspecting it, the guys here realized I didn't need a new engine at all, just some minor fixes and my car is running great for a fraction of the dealer's estimate. After shopping around, I decided to trust Marlon and his crew to do the lift on my Tacoma, and very pleased with it! These guys rock, they do a great job, And go above and beyond to make sure to ensure customer satisfaction. They changed out my rear leaf springs, added coilovers to the front, shocks to the back, and upper control arms. They also mounted new tires on rims and installed with a wheel and balance. Adjusting the height on the coil overs was a job in itself, but they got it to complete satisfaction. However I'm so happy that I found this shop ! A shop that FINALLY listens to their customer when asked to just work on requested service and not touch anything else! I felt very comfortable leaving my car. I was assured that it'd be done by the end of day and it was !! Also informed me of the wear on my tires and that I'll need to get new ones ASAP. which I should've listened to him because that same night my back left tire blew :/ Friendly and sufficient with their work. I waited while my car got serviced, the Spark Plugs Were Delivered Fast, So I didn't have to wait that long. I had a very bad experience recently with City Garage. I brought my car in on a Saturday because it was sounding pretty bad and I knew that the bearing on the water pump had to be replaced, the shop was busy so at the end of the day they told me they didn't have time to replace it and we discussed which days were slower and I told them I would be back on Tuesday and off I went. The next day I drove the car and later that night on my way home the water pump broke and the engine was basically ruined. I had it towed back to the shop and at the end of the following day they called me to inform me that the water pump was replaced but that the engine was most likely ruined and also by the way, the mechanic thought it was a very bad idea for me to take the car back on Saturday. My engine was ruined but I had a new water pump thanks to their awesome communication. The whole ordeal cost me about $6,300 total and they refused to refund me for the water pump job. read more

I bought my own suspension kit for them to use, I bought a D2 suspension kit. I've spoken to the owner a while back before. He has a very trusting personality. You can get an affordable oil change there for around $20-$30; plus they can deal with complex car problems. My Prius recently needed the vent cleaned that cools the main hybrid battery (talk about major girl panic here) and Marlon's son Kaia took care of it for much less than the dealer wanted to charge me. My daughter blew out her tire on her Jeep Patriot and they took care of that, and also replaced my worn front tires (before they blew up!).
