From the moment you arrive, staff greets you warmly, takes care of valet parking, and helps with your luggage. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. During the day, you can choose from three different restaurants. I didn't get a chance to try them all, but I did have breakfast. The food was okay, but the breakfast area is small with limited capacity. I ended up waiting about 40 minutes in the lobby before being seated. That was the only downside. In the evening, I invited some relatives, and we went to the bar. It's small and intimate, and that night they had a gentleman playing the piano. He even played a few of my favorite Luis Miguel songs, which created such an enjoyable atmosphere. Staff at the bar were attentive and made the experience even better. As for the room, it was spotless and very comfortable. Housekeeping did an excellent job, and anytime I needed something, staff responded right away. I've stayed at several hotels in Mexicali, and this one is by far my favorite when visiting family. I definitely look forward to returning!

The rooms were nice, well designed space, the best features: Microwave, refrigerator, and the soap and conditioner pumps in the shower(so you don't have to ask for five bottles every time you shower), lastly, the availability of baby cribs. The availability of American foods like, French toast, pancakes, waffles, cereals, pastries, breads, etc was nice but having the Mexican breakfast buffet as well was amazing, chilaquiles, menudo, beans, eggs, etc. this was by far the best breakfast we've had at a hotel. The other half of the star, was the staff, constantly cleaning and taking away dirty plates. My family enjoyed the pool, but noticed there was other services also available, like a gym, laundry room, print center, They also have a 24/7 little store with snacks for purchase. The reception desk was also helpful. (This is where you get your towels for the pool). Next, the location of this hotel, was perfect. It's in a very nice Plaza, with high end restaurants and shops, and for some last night snacks (a 7/11 store). There is parking right in front of the hotel or underground. Lastly, to my embarrassment, about 30 mins after checking out, I realized I had forgotten an item in the room, I called the hotel to explain, and by the time I returned to the hotel, they had nicely packaged up the item and it was waiting for me at the front desk. The staff, the amenities, the food, and the rooms, were perfect. If all hotels are alike Fairfield Mexicali, Marriott has gained a loyal customer.

Second time staying here and extremely disappointed…read more Booking: I made a reservation in advance to an event due to the proximity from me. A group rate was provided at a later time. I had one reservation with four rooms. Due to international calling, I emailed in advance to have the rate applied. Yolanda Carbajal Munoz indicated she applied the rate. However, she only applied it to one room and I was charged the full rate for the additional 3 rooms. Front desk: Checking in was unpleasant. They didn't know how to direct us to where our rooms were. They didn't inform us that the elevator was not working. (I had my mom with cancer that cannot climb stairs and my disabled brother). There was a lack of empathy and problem solving skills, and poor customer service. When checking out I asked for a folio of the rooms and identified the error in applying the group discount and the front desk was un resourceful and could not identify a general manager or provide a solution. Rooms: I was in a single executive room and there were dead cockroaches in the bathroom, the toilet wasn't clean and had skid marks, and there were old toilets and showers outside my window, along with workers walking by.

However, the male staff was very respectful, attentive, and courteous to both of us. The female staff is a bit grouchy and mostly only focuses on paying attention to the male guests. Our room was clean, and the overall stay was pleasant. They have 24-7 security, which gave us peace of mind. We got a little loud but it was not an issue. Our privacy was respected. We will definitely be returning this year for our little getaway.

They always greet you when you walk by the lobby. The rooms are always clean and tidy. The beds are so comfortable and the pillows are always so fluffy. We love sleeping on the comfy pillows and beds, we always wake up feeling so refreshed. The breakfast buffet is hot and delicious with a large verity of delicious dishes to choose from. The gym has all the exercise equipment you need for a good workout! I love using their elliptical machine or the bicycle. They have wipes to wipe down the machines and they also have hand towels to wipe your sweat off. They have complimentary water bottles! I really appreciate their hospitality! The pool is beautiful and clean. I like going in the pool during the summer. It's really nice and relaxing. Also the hotel is located inside a shopping plaza. There's several restaurants and shops you can walk to, it's super convenient and very nice.

The hotel is in a decent location with several restaurants in walking distance. However, the front desk personnel can ruin the whole trip. These folks can't execute on the SIMPLEST things. I've stayed here about 5 times for work, and each time it's been a crap-shoot on whether I've actually been booked in a room with a microwave and fridge, as requested in my reservation. Not this time. No fridge, no microwave and no real coffee maker in the room, either. There is a one-cup contraption with coffee in a pouch. I have gone to the lengths of bringing my own coffee, filters and cream. As well as my own breakfast foods. But alas, I will make do with the fridge they brought into the room, but for some reason they can't seem to bring me a microwave as well. Nor an actual coffee maker. Amazing that in the 21st century it's so difficult to get actual customer service. I'd probably recommend you stay anywhere else, but here.

One elevator wasn't working, some of the walls were torn up. I had to go back down to the person that checked me in because my key did not work the first time. I hope they turn things around again or I may have to start looking for somewhere else to stay.

The water pressure was great however the shower head was broken so the COLD water because, you could only get warm water very early in the morning pierced your face. The pool was out of service due to maintenance and the complimentary breakfast as pictured below was very basic but Thankful it was provided. They don't stock normal towels like other hotel and charge $2.00 for the single water bottle (other hotel priced same on Mexicali) give free water bottle and full set of towels. Thay also charge for ice & bucket!!
