The coffee is good and the staff friendly. They blew it when they changed their scones a few years ago to what is more like a flat muffin. The recent remodel really took it down a few notches. It used to be cozy with a few sofa like chairs and dim lighting. Now the soft chairs are smaller and fewer, while the lighting is like a lunchroom; bright and fluorescent! The coffee shop is layed-out in a unique way. There is a center island that has various items for your needs. The shop has lots of one/Two tables. The service was short and sweet The burrito I had was not the greatest. It was fine enough to finish it. Definitely not my first pick for coffee, sadly. While I love to support local businesses this one is a Montana chain and I haven't had coffee from here in the multiple times I've ordered here that I enjoyed. It is decent but it's not super good. I think it may be the taste of the beans. They should really start carrying white coffee then they would be up to par with the local competition. Their teas and sweet drinks here are decent but as far as coffee goes this is usually my absolute last option unless I can avoid it. read more

Friendly staff, clean store, quiet store, outdoor seating and good coffee. I enjoy coming here to drink coffee, read and people watch when I am visiting the area. Today, it is almost empty on a Saturday afternoon -- however it is a wonderful afternoon in the area and I suspect that many local residents and visitors are making the most of the day. Other times I've been here it has been busy but I have always been able to find a seat. I like the decor, it is relaxing and makes me feel "at home." With big windows on the south and west sides there are good views (unfortunately no views to the east and Glacier). Variety of seating - small booths, table and chairs, barstools and tables, and overstuffed chairs. Great place to sit and enjoy your coffee. The Grizzly Granita is a great summertime drunk to cool off on hot days. Wish they had a way to leave a tip when paying with a credit card. I've asked if they could just "over charge" me a couple of dollars and use that for a tip but they said they can't. Just need to remember to bring cash when I go. read more

Awesome place! Way better then Starbucks but pretty close tie with Copper Mountain coffee. I like City Brew because their drinks seem stronger and less watered down. Montana-owned and operated, I frequent here because they are close to my work and they give an awesome discount for employees of the hospital, KRMC. Way to go!! Besides that, I really don't like their espresso. Its bitter to me, so needs to be in a more sugary drink. I like the espresso in their iced white chocolate latte but in an Americano, not so much. In their egg nog lattes, it's to die for. It pairs really well, with a shot of vanilla and cinnamon powder. Oh yeah. But those are only sold during the Holidays. So I come here mostly because of the discount and proximity. But if I have time, I'll go outta my way for Starbucks. Hello - I visited this location on 10/27/17 at 1:40 pm, via the drive through. I ordered a 16 ounce mocha, and was assisted by Debbie. The total was $4.15, but Debbie noticed that I was wearing my KRMC hospital ID and said she'd make sure I got the hospital discount as well. I handed her my City Brew perks reward card, 27463 0000 15723, which had a $0 balance. I gave her a second gift card, 27460 0000 34118, which had a balance of $25. I asked her if I could transfer the balance of the second card onto my City Brew reward card instead. She asked another employee to assist her, then handed me back the two cards and two receipts with my beverage. I pulled away from the drive through and noticed that she had not given me the KRMC discount and still charged me $4.15. Furthermore, she handed me another receipt charging out $12.15, but the only item said, "Add Value...." The remaining balance on my card on the second receipt said $8 (when it should have been $21.35 if the discount had been given properly and the balances transferred correctly). I took back both cards and receipts the next day to the same location, on 10/28 around 3:30 pm. Debbie was again the main cashier, so I spoke with her and the assistant manager on staff. I explained what had happened and asked if they could correct the charges and balances on my gift cards. Both of the staff members seemed confused about how to proceed. They told me that their manager, Reggi, had just left for the day. I waited 10-15 minutes while they spoke with their manager on the phone. The assistant manager came out and told me that they couldn't help me and I needed to contact corporate and send them an e-mail instead. She said that if I did not get a response from corporate within a week, then the manager would intervene and assist me. I live in the neighborhood across the street from this City Brew and work at the hospital a block away from it. I have frequented this City Brew every week for over two years, which is why I was especially astounded at the lack of customer service at this City Brew. I spent 30 minutes at the shop attempting to correct the mistake of this location's baristas, and another 30 minutes writing this e-mail. I would like the full balance of my gift card to be appropriately credited and the discount that I was offered applied. It is frustrating that there was not a quick solution to this mistake by the staff. Furthermore, I am flabbergasted that the manager and staff at this location did not offer to contact corporate THEMSELVES for THEIR mistakes and then contact me when a solution could be reached. I was met with "What do you expect me to do about it"-type attitudes when I spoke with the staff at this location and I am doubtful about continuing to patronize this business. My dad was over at Heritage home - not doing well - I came to City Brew every day - sometimes two times a day for over a week - Super friendly girls and very helpful with my many questions- they always offered to fill up my water bottle too!!
