Where to begin?!? Four of us shared appetizers and a pizza. The to-die-for appetizer of the day was the Sticky Icky Ribs. There was nothing icky about them! They were fall off the bone tender and the sauce was superb. Also good were the meatball skewers with a lemon mayonnaise sauce and the beef tandoori skewers with a chimichurri sauce. I didn't have the pizza, but my friends loved it. Amanda was our waitress and she was attentive and friendly with a great sense of humor. Ask for her. She's great. The restaurant is large with high ceilings which makes it feel open and comfortable. And it was t really loud, which I expected when I first saw the large, open space. Today was a beautiful sunny warm day my husband and I decided to take his bike out for a ride to Patriots Place for an app and drink. We went to Citizen Crust after our friend raved about it. We were told there would be an hour wait for patio and we were fine with sitting inside. We got two beers and queso. We got our beers and after we were more than halfway done with our beers and 40 mins later we received our queso appetizer. I asked the guy who delivered it to our table (not our server) if it really does take 40 mins for a queso dip. He said he wasn't sure. The manager then came over apologized and said he would take it off the bill for us. After that our waiter was annoyed and very rude and cold to us. I have worked in food service but this was very disappointing. I helped clean up the table a little stacked plates made sure everything was pushed to the side he just dropped the check and walked away. Great food and nice selection of drinks. I've been here twice with friends, and it's a great spot with lots of options to share, like appetizers or their large pizzas. I liked their Crack Curds (fried cheese curds), Crispy Cauliflower Tacos, and the South of the Border pizza. I literally don't know why this place has so many great reviews. The pizza tastes like the floor of a laser tag arena. The tacos were tasteless and I am pretty sure I'm about to get food poising from them. You know that hologram meatloaf plankton ate in the chum bucket, the taco meat tastes less flavorful than that. Citizens crust is amazing! Great portion and price. I love the poke bowls, got mine with tofu nuggets and i am obsessed. my boyfriend doesn't like tofu or normally this kind of bowl and he said he would get one next time too because they're just that good. The real star here is definitely the pizza the portions are just out of this world and it's absolutely delicious I usually get the Citizens pie with hot honey or the Big mac pizza. Food: street corn wasn't good at all. The corn mix was very diluted and the waffles were overdone to the point that it might as well been burnt. So that they don't serve it. Pizza, very good. The dough was airy and had a nice chew. Really like the unique pan and that you can cut a size, portion of the pizza. Painfully slow and terrible service due to the fault of management and not the waitstaff themselves who were doing the best they could. First of all, who doesn't staff appropriately for a lunch rush after a special event in the immediate area? Our server had over five tables and 20+ customers both inside and OUTSIDE. Unheard of in the restaurant industry unless severely short staffed. Insane that we were not comped anything for lunch taking over an hour and a half and waiting over 10 minutes for the check and another 10 for my card to be run. If the food had been decent, it would've probably made the wait less agonizing. But sitting at a table with 3 kids who are tired and hungry with not great food makes it even worse. I was shocked by the quality and taste of the food from such a raved about restaurant but suffice it to say, we will never be returning and it ruined my son's birthday lunch. I've been coming here since moving to the area in January. Every time it's been nothing short of fantastic. The service is always great, the food and drinks are very good. Tonight we went in and had another great dinner. Started off with the ribs and carne asada fries, both were very good, ribs were very meaty. For dinner we ordered the pizza as always awesome, we got the pepperoni tonight. We also got a superfood salad that was fresh and delicious. My brother got the Nashville Chicken Sandwich. I was there with my husband and sons a few weeks ago on a Friday, before we went to the movies for first showing of Dr. Strange. We got there right before it got busy and had good service. They have interesting looking plates that look like scratched up metal trays. I ordered a cocktail that was pretty good, but not as strong as expected. Holy extensive menu Batman. It's all over the place and truly is globally-inspired. Excellent sheet-pan Roman-style pizza with an airy crust and deliciously crisp toppings. You cut your own slices from the big slab using scissors. Their small size was more than enough for the both of us and the Citizen Pie which features crisp pepperoni cups, some hot honey and ricotta was delicious. The queso appetizer ($11) didn't feature Jalapeno chips and was very watery - it was only enjoyable after it sat on our table for about 30 minutes and started to coagulate. Service was friendly and very casual - but my Blood Mary ($11) didn't include any cheese cubes and olives like the waitress had described. We went on a Tuesday afternoon. We were seated right away. Looking at the menu on a hungry bell was the wrong thing we order the small pep pizza which serves 2-4. This pizza was delish once you get past the edges. I say this because I am a cheese kind of girl and when you get to the cheese part it's the perfect combo of crust,cheese,oils,pep. And more then filling we ate this for two days plus gave our children some. I also ordered the carne fries it was everything a girl can want and taste even better the next day warmed up in the air fryer. This place is fantastic. It's hard to find a restaurant at Pat's Place that checks all the boxes, but Citizen Crust definitely comes the closest. Food: Excellent. The Carne Asada Fries are to die for and we also enjoyed the Taquitos, Shanghai Dumplings, and Monk Pretzel. The pizzas are huge and delicious- we ordered the Margherita of Savoy, South of the Border, and Castro Street and split them among the table. They have a good mix of classic pizzas and unique combinations, so there is something for everyone. The scissors are also a nice shtick and we enjoyed cutting our own slices (this is fun, not difficult, as another reviewer absurdly claimed). Drinks: These were just average, but it wasn't a huge deal to me. We ordered a couple of LIITs and they were strong, but the flavor tasted a bit off and was inconsistent between rounds. When I go back, I'll try some other drinks on the menu. Service: Great. Waitress was friendly and attentive and did a good job of putting up with our banter. Food and drinks all came out promptly. Atmosphere: Great. This is a fun spot to hang out in, both indoors and on the patio. It's lively, but not too loud and you can have a conversation at your table without having to yell. They also have a ton of screens if you're trying to catch the game. Value: Good. Apps and drinks are all reasonably priced for the area. Pizzas are slightly on the pricey side, but they are huge and you will definitely have leftovers. And also, they taste amazing, so they are well worth it. Overall, a really great experience. This has been my second time here and it did NOT disappoint I went with my mother and we ordered the Sticky Icky Ribs and half of the Citizen Pie and both were delicious. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and had the perfect spicy to sweet ratio. The pizza was massive and we couldn't even finish it we had to take it home but it was phenomenal,the crust was airy and had the perfect crunch and the hot honey had a wonderful kick but it was not overwhelming. Our server was very friendly and had wished we come back soon which blew me and my mother away since that never happens these days. Saturday late afternoon, I called to make a reservation, and what used to be 6 person minimum is now a 7 person minimum for a reservation. that was fine, I asked the gentleman on the phone if there was a wait , he said no ,there were plenty of tables. I asked because we were coming in with 3 children under 7 . When we arrived 15 minutes later , we were told it would be 30 minutes for the wait time, after I stated that we had 3 adults and 3 children,.When the 3 hostesses conferred , they replied with the wait time. mind you this was at 4:40 in the afternoon, not prime time. I looked at the restaurant, there were so many tables and booth seats in both rooms that were empty . so I asked , there are so many tables , I can see them all from here, and I also referred to the phone conversation that took place 15 minutes earlier. Then one of the hostesses went into the back and came out to state that the servers decided that it wasn't possible ..... needless to say , we left and will not be back . Excellent first time here...even though it was Freezing and we are in the midst of a pandemic..still.. Anyway..I came here with my friend and she started out with an apple bourbon beverage and I ordered the blushing bride..so good! For food we had a very difficult time choosing as so many items sounded so good! We both elected to go with the "half" sized pizzas..holy moly!!! With a price point of 23 dollars...my pizza had both quality and quantity ..the citizen crust...perfectly crispy cupped ronni with dollops of whipped ricotta and hot honey drizzle..and rhe sourdough crust is amazing. Crispy and chewy and just a great vehicle for the tasty toppings. I had more than half to bring home and cannot wait tondive back in! My friend ordered the Gregory..which had potatoes ham and arugala...also a winner. I look forward to going back and trying so much more of that menu! We've been to Citizen Crust twice as a family (2 adults and 2 kids) in December of 2022 and both times were fantastic. Great atmosphere (music playing at a volume where you can still hear each other speak, cool art on the wall, good variety on TV's) fantastic food (kids loved the pretzel app (The Monk), both times the half sheet pizza (Greg's Favorite and Tartufo) was fantastic and more than two people could eat). Kids were happy with Quesadilla (picky 4 year old) and taco (less picky 10 year old) Good variety and nicely mixed cocktails, and terrific service both times as well. Price is what you'd expect given the location in fact I'd say it was reasonably priced. This will definitely continue to be a place we'll be coming back to both as a family and likely just the adults. read more

The first two items that we ordered for our main course were unavailable - they were out of the item my friend wanted. I wanted two slices of pizza, but I was told it was not available on the side of the restaurant we were seated in - I would have to order either a half or a whole pizza. There was no mention of this exclusion on the menu. That said, I decided to get the chicken tacos. The black beans and rice that accompanied the tacos were luke warm at best. The presentation was nice but the chicken was hard to find and what was found was either dried up pieces or fatty pieces. My friend's dinner was just OK - nothing to rave about. Pretty good spot in patriots place. Had decent takeout from there with all right tsukune meatballs and good bahn mi. Dined in on a slow night and the atmosphere and wait staff were great. Ordered the dumplings which were really top of the line. Drinks were good, the expat is a little strong for me but the tropical island was very pineappley and yummy and it was nice that they had non alcoholic options. We ordered the hot honey pepperoni pizza and it easily knocks the socks off of the average pizza but was just a bit too sweet and doughy to be the perfect pizza for me. We had a reservation and added two people last minute after everyone was already seated. The pizza dough was so fluffy and amazing. The poutine and dumplings were *chef kiss* i had a tequila drink called the Spanish pipe dream which was so original and delicious (had two). Our waitress was so patient and kind despite our chaotic table. Our bill came and we had like seven different cards, and she just split everything up as asked and did an amazing job while being so patient and friendly. I had seen them on Phantom Gourmet so I had high hopes, and they exceeded those expectations. The large pretzel with housemade queso, mustard, and pepper bacon jam was sensational.
