I've been going to Citidental for about 10 years. I have seen Dr. Hoang over the years as well as Dr. Stolch, who left the practice a year or two ago. Most recently, I have seen both Dr. Rodriguez and Dr. Santana. My experience here has always been very good. While I will say there was quite a bit of turnover in the office (both Dr. Stolch's departure and the front desk staff), there has been a good amount of stability since. Even with some of the turnover, my care has been great. My cleanings have been thorough - I currently see Luciano most regularly. I've seen Jenny, Connie, and Ayesha as well. My cleanings are every 3 months and my gum/teeth health have fortunately been stable thanks to their guidance and care. I had gone through a period previously with another dentist in town that wasn't as positive -- I had a lot of filling/crown/teeth repair done, so it feels really good to be at a place where we've gotten to a stable point. In my experience, it's very easy to make and reschedule appointments if needed and the office generally runs on time, which I appreciate. I also did get invisalign done through the office a couple of years ago and that was also good - the technology is really impressive. read more

I went to get an annual clean up and the dental hygienist was so rough with her dental work even though I expressed that it was painful 3 times! Dr. Chau Hoang barely looked at my teeth and then proceeded to blow up pictures of my teeth on screen to tell me that I need 8 fillings redone and 3 crowns. I get my teeth checked every 6 months and they were fine before, and then boom all of the sudden CITIDENTAL is telling me I have all these problems- very sketchy, aggressive and dishonest! They clearly don't put patient at heart. I ended up getting my teeth checked again by a different dentist and all I needed was two minor fillings redone. The rest of the teeth that she claimed were "cavities" were merely stains that needed to be buffed then it's all pretty again. Just save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else, it's not worth the headache of deciding whether they happened to give you a real diagnosis or not / having to get a second opinion. This was my first Boston-based experienced after moving from Manhattan. I came for a cleaning, but they instead conducted x-rays for an hour and attempted to have me come back for the cleaning - as well as 4 fillings and a crown. I was also presented with a very expensive estimated bill (~$1,700) that I was told "to just sign as I won't be responsible for anything until the cleaning." I was baffled as I haven't had any cavities for the last 5+ years, so voiced that I would seek a second opinion and will not sign anything. After voicing such, they would not hand me the cost estimate until my third ask for a copy. I saw a competing dentist today who told me I do not have any cavities, and that a crown is in no way necessary. read more

It is business oriented that tries to sell you all services they could. I had my cavity filling and still experience cold sensitivity after a while. I will wait and see if it improves. The office was quite delayed in processing and providing my medical records I requested. However, the hygienist did clean away most dark spots of my teeth. It was a bit disappointing that there are still a few dark spots around that could potentially lead to cavities but I will have to maintain to ensure no further deterioration till next appointment. Of note, they say I have a cavity but I never had one in my life. I was scared and went to have it done filled. Though the cavity was very tiny looking at the X-ray, I don't think this could have been doctored(?) while looking at all the reviews indicating that there were lots of lies etc happening at this office. Update: Dr. A was patient oriented and explained all my questions and concerns regarding my cold sensitivity after the severe pain following the filling procedure for two weeks. It seems it is a bit coarse for the surface of the filling that my floss would get torn easily when string flossing between the teeth where the filling was done. After a little over two weeks, I still have cold sensitivity on the filling area but it has gotten less achy and better than initial painful sensation from drinking cold water. I will assess and update. Overall, it is been an okay experience at this dentist office. I will come back to Dr. A for more appointments for sure. read more

I was a patient for several years and Citi dental is no longer the great practice that it use to be. In the last year they have canceled two of my appointments the day before or the day of the appointment. They no longer have the goal of your health in mind and only want to sell you treatments and should not be trusted that you even need the treatment plan they recommend. Staff at the front desk seems to have no clue on how to run billing or appointments with out issues. I had two appointments here: first, the front desk were very rude. Then the services that were supposed to be covered were not and not deemed medically necessary, this happens I guess..... Then when I had to pay hundreds of dollars for this procedure the accounting department had some shifts and every time I spoke to them I was given a different price. FRAUD!!!! I went here as a new patient looking for a cleaning. I waited over an hour and was treated worse than buying a car from the dishonest staff. The dentist came in and told me (after I waited an hour) that I would not be getting a cleaning then, rather I needed a periodontal evaluation and treatment first. I was shocked as I get my teeth cleaned every three months. I got a HUGE bill for them trying to scam me more. STAY AWAY!!!!! read more

I have to agree with some of the other negative ratings, especially since switching to a new dentist and having that as a comparison point. My impression is that they up sell you on lots of expensive, potentially unnecessary treatments here. At my first appointment (I moved to Boston, but was getting regular cleanings/tooth maintenance at my prior dentist in California before moving) they refused to clean my teeth, stating that I needed a deep clean (that I think was $700-$1000). When I requested that they do a standard cleaning, while I determined the feasibility of doing the deep clean, they refused and said cleaning my teeth would make the situation worse. I ended up doing the deep cleaning. After that, they told me I needed to come in every three months for cleanings for a year (which I did). They also recommended getting numerous fillings. Many of the sealants I got as a child were wearing away and they said there were spots of discoloration that could turn into cavities. I did get them all filled/replaced. My husband has also been going to them and has had similar problems of expensive procedures being recommended as well as poor communication with the front desk. He got a mold taken for a mouth guard and called the same day (5 hours later) as getting the mold to clarify/confirm that he wanted a thinner mouth guard (eg retainer style). The receptionists said they would tell the dentist. Given that he had just been there, it seems like they should have been able to make sure to order him the correct style of mouth guard. However, despite this, my husband was given the wrong mouth guard (a thick bulky one). They had already charged his credit card and basically said they could not do anything, despite it being their error. So now he is out $600 for an incredibly uncomfortable and unwanted mouth guard. They scheduled him for a fitting for the mouth guard today, but when he arrived the mouth guard wasn't ready. They said they called to cancel the appointment, but he didn't have any missed calls or voicemails from them. This was pretty annoying because he was working from home today, so this was 2 hours wasted going to their practice and then coming back home. As a coda, during the pandemic, I skipped dental appointments for over a year. I ended up going to Pure Dental in JP instead for an appointment in February 2021 and have been going to Pure Dental since. They said my teeth looked totally fine, despite them not being cleaned for about 15 months. I much prefer Pure Dental. They haven't recommended excessive procedures, cleanings, etc. read more

*SCAM ALERT*DO NOT GO HERE* I'm not normally one to write poor reviews, but feel the need to report this office as they are completely ripping people off (and aren't even doing a good job). When I changed insurance companies, the office never explained to me that my new insurance was out of network and they were charging me higher (exorbitant) rates. Well, they maxed out my insurance on a filling that broke WITHIN THREE MONTHS. When I went back to get it fixed, they told me I would need to pay $3000 out of pocket for a crown - shouldn't a filling last longer than 3 months if they didn't do such a poor job??? I went to another dentist to get a second opinion, and he told me I didn't need a crown, but easily fixed my filling for $250. I constantly felt like the staff here were trying to squeeze more money out of me by trying to get me to buy Invisalign (even though I've already had braces) and not disclosing the fact that my new insurance was out of network. They were definitely upselling their work by claiming I need tons of dental work done and by billing me incorrectly by "mistake". I'm astonished by the number of negative reviews for this office. I had such a wonderful experience with the receptionists, dental hygienists, and the dentist. Honestly, I have neglected to schedule any dentist appointments in the last couple years, so I decided to make a change and scheduled one on ZocDoc. This dentistry is conveniently located next to the Starbucks by Government Center which is about a five-minute walk from my workplace and luckily it accepts my dental insurance too. Within the span of five days, I was able to schedule all the necessary appointments for my dental care needs. On Thursday, Erin did an extensive consultation/x-rays for me. Then, on Saturday, Dr. Alsafar performed a painless root canal procedure. He is an conscientious medical professional with great bedside manners! And last but not least, on Monday, I had a crown implemented in my mouth. Jen did a refreshing and thorough dental cleaning for me that same day too! SUBJECT: Thieves - NOT TO BE TRUSTED. Lied about cavities and ran up a $900 bill. Read other reviews, they have a sales pitch that others experienced the same. Wanted to calm down a few days before writing this, so hopefully I come off constructive and help others considering where to take their business. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS LOCATION. After happily attending Citidental South Boston location I moved and this was a more convenient location. Painlessly had my Xrays and paperwork faxed to this location for my cleaning. Showed up and was told that I needed new Xrays, and they ran my gum numbers for pockets or whatever. Fine. After hearing extremely high numbers I started getting concerned. At that point they brought out a slide and book on Gum Disease and how it develops. I kid you not, this lasted over 20 minutes of them explaining how I need a deep clean and how I have 6 cavities. The entire appointment of them 'up-selling' me lasted an hour and I NEVER HAD MY TEETH CLEANED. They said it would be negated by the 2 appointment deep clean. **THEIR CAMERA WAS "BROKEN" so they couldn't show me the 6 cavities... convenient. I was horrified and embarrassed. I had 2 cavities in 30 years, how could I have 6 all of the sudden?! I believed them too. Until the lady mentioned "Poor work done on a filling" I said, well that's a shame because your South Boston location did that just 2 years ago. At that point I knew something was up and went for a cleaning elsewhere. Guess what? The 2nd opinion dentist used a 3d camera/xray and said there were NO cavities and even said there was no hole in the filling, everything was great. 17$ later compared to $970.64 at CitiDental. Also, took over a 1.5 weeks just to get them to fax me the Xrays they took to my new dentist for review, appalling. Case of incompetency and lack of professional courtesy, ethics & consideration. The doctor did an initial exam and sent the billing person after, never saw her again but they very extremely prompt about getting my appointments setup. The doctor never explained next steps or anything. Barring a few folks, the doctor and front desk staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. I had to beg for days for my xrays that I paid for. They are extremely uncouth and unprofessional. The dental hygienist was sweet but she was so aggressive with a regular tooth cleaning that my gums were still bleeding after 3 days. DO NOT GO HERE. This is an overdue review but I feel it's necessary to warn people about this dentist. Long story short, they lied and said I needed a ton of serious dental work, and when I got a second opinion the other dentist said I did not need 90% of the work done (and they altered the xrays to look worse!!). In more detail: I went to this dentist two years ago for a routine checkup and they did xrays and then gave me a huge list of serious dental issues that needed work and would be super expensive. I was completely surprised and freaked out since my teeth felt fine and I had not had any major issues before. A friend thought that was odd that I would need things like root canals when I had no pain or issues and suggested I get a second opinion. I thankfully did get a second opinion and the second dentist redid the xrays and said I only had one small cavity that needed to be filled. The other about 10 items did not need any work. He showed me a comparison on his computer of the xrays at CitiDental vs the ones he did and the CitiDental ones looked much work which they likely modified to try to get me to get the unnecessary services done at their location. Very unethical. I sent them an email about this issue and they never responded, not surprisingly. Stay away from here. read more

Great staff and spectacular environment - great energy. As a healthcare provider, I know the ins and outs of "what makes this a great service and what makes a good provider" and this is it. The negative reviews that are seen below are most likely patients or clients that are "high-maintenance" cases. I strongly feel that this practice has their organization put together. I don't question their work ethics and they do not "gossip." Their work and diligence to our care (we all take oaths to perform healthcare for the patient, not for monetary value) is top notch as they want to make sure your oral health is A++. They do a great job and adhere to HIPAA laws. With that said, they have kept my teeth stronger and the most healthiest I've felt them. Thank you so much. Again, the negative comments that I see are most likely due to the patients/clients who are high-maintenance and/or do not read paperwork before they sign documents. I had a root canal and crown here and they did a great job. I didn't feel any pain during or after. My only suggestion would be for the office staff to be more proactive with updating patients on next steps etc. The front desk looked confused when I asked when my follow up would be for my final crown fitting. INSURANCE FRAUD!!! I made an appointment here about a year ago and was told I had 8 cavities. I have never had a cavity in my then 25 years of life. Immediately after telling me I had 8 cavities, they gave me a print out with the cost and how much my insurance covers. I honestly felt a little pressured by this and uneasy about the whole situation. I read reviews after my appointment and decided to ignore the cavities since I didn't believe they were real based on the reviews I had read. This is a great dental practice. I started going here about 2 years ago and have been back again and again despite having moved a bit further away. The staff are extremely pleasant and approachable. They are almost always on time with appointments. They dental hygenists are gentle and patient. I have had multiple cleanings and always came away extremely satisfied. Luckily they take my insurance and I am glad to continue to come here for my dental care. I have never had any issues and only hesitate on urging others to come here as it may cut into my appointment timing! :) read more

Before I even start with this review, it seems warranted to say that I read a lot of the reviews on Yelp before I started coming to this practice and ultimately decided to go for my appointment based on some of the more thorough reviews. It's also worth mentioning that advocating for yourself and communicating with your provider about your concerns is the key to a good patient-provider relationship. All that being said, I am VERY surprised at the negative reviews on Yelp for this practice. I had a pretty awful experience at a local community health center's dental practice and decided it was time to switch gears and check out a private practice. My previous dentist's office gave me my first-ever crown and it wasn't fitting right. After two months of round-the-clock pain and four appointments to give that office the chance to get it right, I went to CitiDental and had part 1 of my dental exam (x-rays, images, gum checks...will go back this week for part 2, including the full cleaning). Dr. Hoang saw me at my first visit and immediately showed me both an x-ray and 3-D image of the my tooth/crown and I could clearly see it wasn't fitting properly. I was booked for an appointment the following week to re-fit the crown. Unfortunately, after two more weeks of pain following the second crown, it was confirmed I needed a root canal. This was not surprising to me given how deep the filling was. Dr. Hoang's office didn't have an opening for root canals for a few weeks, and it was Christmas/holiday season. I didn't want to be in pain for the holidays, so she gave me a referral to a nearby endodontist who could see me same-day. I headed over there and confirmed with the endodontist that I needed a root canal, which was started. Will be going back in a couple weeks to finish it. As I write this review, I'm telling you all that for the first time in 4 months, I am pain-free. For those who might have concerns with having to come back multiple times for an initial exam, I can tell you that while this isn't the "old school" practice, it's also not unheard of. For those who were told they "have periodontal disease" or something similar, all dental practices check your gums to look for rates of recession, which can ultimately cause periodontal disease if not addressed. It's the dentist's job to measure your gums and let you know what's up and what your options are if there's recession. Refer back to my comment about communication earlier in this review for more on that. I was told that I have recession in a couple spots that should ideally be evaluated by a periodontist to confirm if further action is warranted or if we should wait-and-see. This is nothing new in dentistry, so before you jump to any conclusions, ask to clarify your diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment plan so you're sure you understood everything, whether you go here or to another practice. Finally, I had to put a deposit down for my initial root canal appointment, which I canceled to go to the endodontist that I was referred to. The refund for my deposit processed within 10 business days, so I just don't understand where all the drama is coming from with some of the other reviews here. Not a good place. I used to go here a lot just to get cleanings and general check ups but I stopped because they rip you off with prices and make you go through unnecessary procedures. I was pressured by Dr. Stolch into doing a root canal when I didn't need it at the time as other doctors recommended otherwise, and they tried to reap the most they could out of my insurance. The doctor at the time (Dr. Kim who conveniently moved to Gentle Dental lol) administered an anesthesia on the left side of my mouth 2 months ago that has left my tongue numb until today. If I had known this would happen I would've never entered their clinic. I gave them a two just because they cleaned my teeth and did some fillings, that's pretty much it. read more

I cannot stress further that Citidental is extremely fraudulent: wrong diagnosis (purposefully), overcharge and commit insurance fraud. I came in the first time for a 6-month regular dental cleaning session. They asked me to schedule a consultation and that's how they charge you for x-ray (despite the fact that I had x-ray 1 year earlier). However, I happily scheduled the x-ray session. After x-ray, Dr. Olga Spivak took out a device to measure my "pockets" and made up all the results to give me an impressions that my gum is in terrible shape and that I have a few cavities. She concluded that I need a "deep cleaning" that will cost me $1000 co-pay and failure to cure it will make my teeth fall of. I was naive enough to agree to the treatment, which consists of injecting numbing agent to my gum which was incredibly uncomfortable. They did 1/2 of my mouth so I paid for 1/2 of the treatment. I went home and was suspicious about the whole thing so I requested x-ray and photos from them. Front-desk lady told me that it will take 3 business days to "process". I waited for 7 days and no email, so I contacted them again and finally got all the photos. I then show the x-ray to my friend who studied Dentistry at University of Pennsylvania and he told me that I have no bone loss, therefore will only need regular cleaning. The "deep cleaning" session was fake because there was nothing to deep clean for. There was NO cavity either. I was upset so I came back - Citidental refused my request to meet Dr. Spivak and that "she will be on vacation the next day". Knowing that they will cancel my appointment anyway, I will contacted my insurance company Metlife and they informed that 1/2 of my treatment was under an out-of-network doctor (Dr. Chau Hoang) and that's why it was so expensive. I decided to take this matter on another level and sent them an email stating that I will be filing a formal complaint against them to the Massachusetts Board of Dentistry for committing insurance fraud. This triggered their fear and immediately gave me a full refund. In conclusion, you should stay away from this fraudulent practice. They are not to be trusted. I had moved around a bit over the last year or so and hadn't found a new dentist yet. I pass by this location on my way to and from work each day, so decided to make an appointment and check them out. It was quite easy to get an appointment on the day and time I asked for. I arrived a few minutes early, anticipating the need to fill out new patient forms. The office is on the second floor, right next to Starbucks by the Government Center T stop. The waiting room was small, but very nice with hardwood floors and lots of natural light. I filled out my paperwork and Jane, the hygienist brought me into the cleaning/examination room. She was young and sweet and I liked her right away. She thoroughly looked over all the info I had just filled out and asked questions about specifics. I appreciated that she took the time to read the form since I took the time to fill it out. She explained everything she was going to do before she did it. She started by looking in my mouth and taking notes. Then she took some x-rays and then did the cleaning. She then flossed my teeth and taught me some techniques for proper flossing. Then I met the dentist and he checked out my mouth. He was also very nice, direct and gave good advice in dental care. I appreciated that they did not try to sell me any products or procedures. In fact, when I told them that I was interested in a night guard for teeth grinding, they both suggested an over-the-counter one first to save money. I also liked their use of modern technology and practices. A pleasant and painless experience. I'll definitely be back and recommend this office. If you go, please mention me! I've been going to CITIDental for about a year now, and I really like it. The staff is really friendly, and they have a super cute (hypoallergenic) dog that wanders around the office. My favorite thing about CITIDental is that they're pretty high tech compared to most doctor's offices I've been to. I'm a big fan of their appointment reminders via email that allow you to confirm your appointment. They also have an iPad you can use while you're waiting (though I've never had to wait for more than a few minutes). I'm pretty sure they have free WiFi too. A couple of other things: (1) I really appreciate that CITIDental understands my health insurances allowances--they once advised me to wait on certain treatments until the next calendar year to make sure they would be covered, which I appreciate. (2) The location (right at Government Center) is super convenient. read more

don't go to this place they discriminate against new patients and exclude them from coming to their office. they are not welcoming and not inclusive. here is my story with them yesterday, I want whoever is in charge of the building to be aware of the employee's behavior. it is one of the horrible and most ignorant and unprofessional dental place I have ever seen in my life. I scheduled an appointment yesterday at 4PM to meet Dr. krista Kelch and I called them to confirm that I am coming after I checked in online with all information including my Dental insurance ID, and Driver's license, they said to me that my dental insurance card is not active, so I had to call my insurance company and it turned out that it is active and because of their professionalism on how they speak with new patients, I called them again to let them know that is active and they apologized on that, but after a while they called me again and said that my insurance card now is terminated. So, I felt like I was playing a game with them and when they said it is terminated that surprised me because I have a proof from the company that my dental insurance has been effective since August. When I asked to speak with the manager whose name is Karen she was saying that she wanted to cancel my appointment because my insurance card is terminated and I told her it is not terminated and I just spoke with the company and they said it is active and can send you an email about that and I asked her to send me a proof that says my insurance card is terminated, she didn't send me that and then because I was trying to communicate with her that what she said is wrong, she seemed overactive about it and said that she didn't like how I speak with her, and I want to say to her that if you took that offensive on what you did to me, then I can't help how you feel. And you were saying to not come to your office like she owns the building. I am going to file a complaint against this office for their discrimination and false information against new patients. The conclusion is that this dental place is unprofessional, horrible and inconsiderate, and if you ever think about scheduling appointments here, don't do it as they also have many other bad reviews on Zocdoc app concerning their behaviors to new patients. I encourage everyone to file a complaint against them, so this cycle of discrimination can be stopped because there are many people that would fall into this trap! read more

ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS OFFICE AT ALL COSTS. I did everything they said in the beginning and ended up in the ER - no sleep and did not eat for 3 days!! Spoke to the Emergency line folks who gave me no guidance on what to do other than if the pain is bad then go to the ER (in addition they were watching TV I could hear in the background and could care less). I saw "Dr." Hoang for an emergency dental visit on a Saturday where she diagnosed the wrong tooth and told me to get a root canal and left me for the weekend to agonize in my own pain (she did prescribe amoxicillin which is about the only good thing she did - could have just gotten that at the ER though). By the way the ER is generally where people go when they do not have a general dentist OR if something traumatic happened like a sports injury. Apparently I did not have a Dentist - and was just paying money to someone who was suppose to care for my teeth and wellbeing - but was not. Prior to this they had me do gum surgery twice which they said was not successful and recommended me doing it again - at this point I was smart enough to say "thanks i'll think about it." All the services they offer I am sure are a scam and they are just trying to churn patients. I do not know if the outcome of the poor performance is due to competent dentists that are just overwhelmed or just incompetence in general - nor should anyone care because the outcome is the same. Their 5 stars comes from there offer of a 25 dollar Starbucks card - which I'm embarrassed to say I was a sucker for at first as well and am embarrassed to say I only looked at the overall rating to become their patient. I also assumed because the costs were so high - I would be getting the best possible care - also NOT true. My recommendation: Perform diligent research and ensure you ask family and friends - as shady business like this have found ways around the review process by bribing or compensating for higher reviews, which has worked for them to a certain point. This practice also questions their integrity and moral values - in addition to their true professionalism. All of which you will find are disappointing from a patient perspective. read more

I have been a happy CitiDental patient for about 8 years. I was referred here after I had a sketchy visit to a place in Back Bay near Kenmore, where I was told I had 8 cavities and 10 "watch spots." I knew that was wrong because my lifelong family dentist where I had grown up had just seen me 6 months before. Anyway, when I got to CitiDental, they assured me that I had only two watch spots, only one of which has been filled in the 8 years I've been a patient. The office is very clean, the technology is up-to-date, and is very conveniently located. They offer email and text reminders - very convenient! My hygienist is gentle and kind. It is easy to get appointments with them on short notice for emergencies, They also offer a terrific referral program to me for recommending them to my friends and family. read more

It was time for me to get a dentist local to me, so I tried out CITIDental in December, and I am so glad I did. Dr. Chau Hoang is currently my dentist and she is very personable and kind! I needed to get a possible root canal or filling for my second visit - my first - so I was extremely nervous to say the least. She was patient with me, calming, and listened to my worries. She was very gentle and efficient during the "procedure" and luckily it turned out to be only a filling needed! Her specialist Julia and dental assistant Johanna are also extremely knowledgeable, kind, patient, and fantastic! I would recommend CITIDental to anyone who needs a clean, thorough dentist. They explain everything to you, listen to everything you ask or may have a concern about, and are great with following up on your appointments and health. I've just gone for my first 6 month cleaning, and have my next cleaning scheduled already - and I am not worried or fretting about it either :) read more

I never write reviews but I feel like my experience here definitely has warranted one. Everyone in the office is extremely nice and professional, however I did find Dr. Stolch to be a bit aggressive when it comes to offering unnecessary and expensive treatments. At all of my cleanings they told me I needed grafting for major recession and would need to see a periodontist immediately . I never really thought anything of it because they seemed so nice and trustworthy. I had a cleaning this past September when I was told I needed a crown on a tooth that I got a filling on with Dr. Stoch exactly a year ago. When she reviewed my X-rays this year, she was puzzled by them. She didn't even know what it was..she asked the hygienist, "what is that? That black area showing up on the X-ray? Oh yea..you need a crown!" I've had cleanings regularly, so I started to think this sounds really strange? Why is this just coming up now? Why would she risk filling the cavity of my enamel was so weak? I started to read more of Citidental's reviews (especially their Yelp reviews ) and started noticing people were writing about the same experiences I had with the grafting and expensive unnecessary treatments they were pushing. I went to get a second opinion at a small family run practice in my hometown- Watertown . The dentist told me he had no idea what Citidental was talking out regarding the crown and I absolutely did not need one. I also discussed the grafting with him and how it's come up multiple times over the last few years at my cleanings, the dentist looked at my gums, and said since I was 26, this procedure is not usually necessary for someone my age and that sometimes your teeth naturally recede, but it's not anything to worry about at the moment but we can keep an eye on it. Just beware of these dentists in the city especially downtown, they have high rent and sometimes they have to recommend these treatments to get by. Why not offer unnecessary treatments like professional whitening , veneers or sell expensive electric toothbrushes for a profit? A crown is certainly not something you just tell someone to get! If something sounds strange to you, it probably is. The best thing I can advise you is to always get a second opinion and go with your gut instinct. read more

I had not been to a dentist in a few years and unfortunately had five cavities. Dr. Stolch and her team were fantastic. She explained the filling process and kept me informed of my status during my procedure. Having cavities filled is never fun, but she made the process as pleasant and pain-free as possible. Positive: The staff is indeed friendly and the environment is nice. The cleaning procedure is one of the best and most complete so far. Negative: Unfortunately, the other reviews are mostly correct in the sense they want to replace every filling that is in your mouth, even when everything is fine. It got only two starts because of this practice of trying to sell you procedures that not only you don't need but are also not recommended. Remember that replacing a filing wear down a healthy portion of your tooth so you just do that when you really have to. read more
