The staff are nice. But my main problem with this place is that doesn't accept Apple Pay whatsoever ever. The ATMs outside won't take it, and neither will the readers inside. I'm very thankful for this Citibank Branch helping me out so quickly... I was recently a victim of Fraud on my account. I was very sad & disgusted about the entire situation. However, Kirsten & Manny helped guide me every step of the way. To blocking, closing & starting from scratch. Manny went above & beyond even helping me set up things on my phone & APP. It definitely made me feel better knowing that they knew exactly how to handle the situation & getting everything squared away. Manny even called a couple business days later to see how my temporary card was functioning & asked if I had any questions about my new account. I also received my new Debit card via mail shortly after his call (which was way quicker than expected!) I am so happy with their service because my parents had fraud on their account around Christmas from a different bank franchise & it was not handled as well. Wow. Can't cash a check in the bank. Unbelievable. This branch has decided because they don't get a lot of customers in there that don't have citi accounts that they won't cash a check for you written out to you personally from a citibank customer. Why? This makes no sense. I have a check that I have to go to another branch 10 miles away if I want to cash it. This is a fully operative, full-service working branch. I recently did a research study and the company paid me by check (a printed business check - nothing handwritten). The company uses Citibank, and a branch in Delaware (where the research company is based) is listed on the bottom left of the check. I don't use bank accounts because I hate them. So I took my check to Citibank to cash it. Keep in mind, this check is for $12, so it's not like I'm asking for thousands of dollars. The teller rudely pointed to the Delaware branch listed on the check and told me I had to cash it there. Oh, okay! Let me just fly to Delaware to collect twelve bucks! Are you kidding me? I contacted Citibank via email to see if this is really their policy. I'll update when they respond to me. Update: I heard back from their customer service department. It turns out, the teller was wrong! Checks bearing another Citibank branch's address may be cashed at the manager's discretion. They are usually allowed if proper identification is presented and if the check is not for a suspicious amount. Guess I'll be going back! read more

Opens at 10. Tellers arrive at 10. Take 10 minutes to get their system up while there are 7+ customers in line. Including me with a toddler. One teller opens and takes a customer. Realizes that her system is still not up. Other teller still not open. 10-15 minutes later manager walks by the long line to tell us they are having trouble and she can take a manual deposit and give a written receipt. Why don't the tellers arrive earlier so that customers can be helped at 10? I just went through a 3 week nightmare where their atm took my cash and didn't deposit it. I had to raise actual heck to have them issue a "provisional credit"... it took them 18 days to credit cash that I deposited into an atm. There was no way I was leaving a "manual deposit". Location, location, location! Glad to have this Citibank branch at the north end of Old Town Monrovia with all of the shops/restaurants around. It's also adjacent to the library and the park which works out great for running quick banking errands when you're hanging with the fam. The tellers are friendly too. read more

Citibank is the worst bank I've been with so far. It can take up to a week to receive the funds that you've deposited into your account. I had an emergency and needed the funds in my account, and they were unable to help. Unprofessional manager. Judge people before helping. I ordered replacement for my Debit card & when I called customer service line to activate it the rep somehow cancelled my card. I didn't find out until I went to get cash at the ATM a few days later. Unable to get cash out I walked inside the branch to ask them why my new card didn't work. The teller was very polite but she needed help from her manager. The manager came to the counter with an attitude and started asking me questions, basically making me feel like I stole the card. I even show her my ID card to verify the name on the card. Her attitude & demeanor was appalling. She insisted somehow she was right from the start...and after making a few phone calls in the back...she came back & told me the rep I spoke w/accidentally cancelled my card & a new one will be shipped to the branch. No apologies... After dealing w/her attitude of making me feel like a theft she tried to push me to open an another account with them. Really? Are You kidding me? I just declined & then she tries to sell me the account benefits like you can get such and sucj percentage back from purchases, so and so blah blah blah! I said no. Then she starts asking me why? Why wouldn't I like to have benefits, why wouldn't I like getting cash back? Why why why? Horrible customer service!!!! I can't believe they have such a horrible manager. I always go to this Citibank after work to deposit my check in the ATM. It decided to place a hold on my whole check. I went inside to ask why they put such a huge hold on all my funds. The teller was very nice but wasn't able to help me. He asked his manager for help and she very rudely responded with "why are you even asking me this you should should know the answer. No we cant help her." Do not bank at this Citibank branch as a former employee of this office, also with a mother and father who have had accounts with this office since 1971 I will never ever bank with Citibank ever again not only did they give my father's entire life savings to a woman his daughter who was not a signer on the account they claimed to have called me (signer number two)and let me know which is a flat out lie I was the only signer on that account the branch manager here will just call her Bernie because she's not professional enough for me to State her full name And assistant manager whom since this incident hasbeen transferred to the glendora office of Citibank these two women are the most unprofessional most uncouth women I've ever met not only did they send adult protective services to my house they wouldn't tell me a thing about what had happened to my father's money!!! these women were easily dominated by my sister who is an alpha female.. just took place on June 9th 2016 and since then Citibank has not responded to anything they will not give me copies claiming I have to subpoena the transactions. At the time you cows closed my father was allowed to sign them knowing and you being a fact that he was suffering from dementia and memory loss they then close the account 11 message to to reopen an account as a representative for my father she didn't removed all beneficiaries as welland a ladder to remove all beneficiaries placing herself asa representative for my fathers savings, this is the most disgusting thing that has ever happened to me in my entire life I've just found out that they're doing the a good friend of our family who lives here in the city of Monrovia as well so if you got any money you want to have later on in life I would suggest you take it out of this branch office.
