The best part of this bank is its parking. I can't think of any other Chase bank I've been to with such a huge dedicated lot. And it's mostly covered so even if it's hot out, you won't have to worry about returning to an oven of a car. I came here to quickly grab some cash before heading out and while I loved that this location is set in a corner that allowed for quick in and out, I was disappointed to see that outside they had only one ATM outside the branch. I luckily came here during an off time on a weekday afternoon, but I could easily see a situation where this one ATM could get quite busy which would hinder your ability to get in and out quickly (& avoid having to go inside and wait for a teller). If you absolutely have to guarantee a quick trip, this might not be the right branch for you. read more

This Chase Bank is an easy find on Baldwin Avenue and Huntington Drive. It is on the corner, across from the gas station with plenty of parking. My husband and I decided to stop by this branch (which seems to be the largest Chase locations in the San Gabriel Valley) on a Saturday morning, around 10 am. We didn't have an appointment but were just hoping to see if we could have one of the customer service bankers (the people opposite of the tellers) help us, as a walk in. We were lucky since there was no one waiting and we were greeted by the branch manager when we walked over (but there was several people waiting when we left). He asked us what he could do for us and then referred us to Jason since he was free. Jason was very helpful and friendly. He was able to add my name to my husband's account and also answer a few questions that he had about his account, about a CD, etc. For the most part, this was a pretty easy task (according to Jason these were very simple things). But when we had gone to the Chase in Stanton the day before (we just happened to be in Orange County), this one banker told us that we had to make an appointment, even though there was no one waiting and he didn't have a customer in his cubicle. For those that may need Jason's assistance, he does speak both English and Mandarin. There is also more than one banker, at this location, that can also speak Spanish for those that may need it. In the future, we will come back to this location for any other assistance that we are not able to do online, on our own. And hope we can work with Jason again. read more

So I hate to be the barror of a unsatisfying review but either this lady was very new or nervous or she should not be a teller. I went in this afternoon and wanting to move money on one card to my chase card. This card was a none chase card, I understand if your new and and not sure maybe if they do it but she found out they did. They don't charge any fees but the bank I was moving the money from might. I asked about roughly how much percentage wise so I can leave a small amount in the original account. They didn't know so I told them the amount and we rounded and roughly to 4 percent. Fine, I wanted to know how many dollars I should leave left over. Somone they told me at least 36 dollars which didn't make any sense bc I have never had any fee that high. The big issue was the girl took the percent and added it to the amount in my account and said there would be such and such an amount but the amount was like 20 dollars more then what was even in the account to begin with so this couldn't be right. She checked with her manger and I had to do the math which is frustrating bc I'm not the best at math and you'd think going to a bank they would be. So the manger tells her your trying to find the difference so you don't add you subtract so she does and I do too. I ended up just going into my part statements and seeing if they had fees before. The lady then says it will be available by Wed in a few days and I look and it says available right away. Like I'm really sorry but this teller does not belong working at a bank with simple arithmetic or she isn't being trained well enough. I shouldn't have to go in there and stress n have to figure out my own math n try to solve everything myself. The people who were helping her were nice enough and even she was but it is not the business she should be in if math isn't your strong suit. read more

It seems weird to review a bank, but I just really like this branch. The staff is very polite & efficient without trying to make you their best friend: "Hi Jane! How are you, Jane? Do you have any plans today, JANE?" No, they don't do that here like they do at other Chase locations. They are pleasant & professional, but not familiar. Huzzah! Large parking lot with lots of shaded areas. Indoor & outdoor ATMs. Never had to wait more than 3 or 4 minutes for a teller. Just a pleasant place to bank. read more

Their atm machines never work. The lady next to me just now tried to pull out 400 dollars in cash and the machine never paid her out but deducted the amount from her account anyway. These machine have been glitchy for years. Either fix it or shut them down completely. read more

This location always has amazing customer service, should you find yourself on the rare occasion in need of walking in and interacting with a human. They are always kind and welcoming. There usually isn't a long queue of people in line, and there is always coffee offered. Even the exterior of this location is beautiful. Now that there are so many ATM skimmer devices (BE AWARE!), I feel so much safer going inside the bank to withdraw my money. I walked into the nearest Chase bank and was immediately greeted by friendly employees. I had no idea these new high tech ATM machines now allowed you to choose which bills you'd want to withdraw! Gloria was super sweet, she assisted me right away. She also made sure I had taken out my card before another customer used the ATM (you wouldn't believe how many times people would actually forget). Right when I walked in, I was greeted by Tracy. She was upbeat and helpful. I needed to deposit checks for my own personal account and on behalf of my mom. I usually do it through the paper deposit slips, so I was trying to write down my information when Tracy interrupted me to teach me how to use the ATM deposit machines. Pretty cool. It was a nice addition to the branch because the location that I typically go to doesn't have those machines inside the building. This is by far the nicest and biggest branch that I've been to. The machines are pretty cool too because they print out a picture of the check you deposit on your receipt. I'll keep that in mind when I need to make future deposits. I'm torn between leaving a good review and a bad review. I'll start with the good part, Johnson greeted me and my mom and sister at the door happily and quickly set us up with a banker, Nicole. We were having issues with our debit cards being deactivated since they don't have chips. Johnson said we could expedite our cards and had us seated. Johnson had great customer service. We sat with Nicole who said it didn't matter that Johnson said we could expedite our card due to the deactivation and tried to charge us for shipping on a card that was having issues because chase deactivated our card! Not our fault. I had to make a deposit and she filled out my slip and walked me to the very long line for a teller and said "okay I'm going to lunch!" Every other experience with bankers they do the deposit for me and typically super friendly. She was cold and was only worried about eating. I felt that was rude and had no priority for the customer only for herself. After being walked to the LONG line to only deposit my check myself(without a debit card lol)!!! Johnson came up and apologized and offered to deposit it for me and said he would send me the receipt. Honestly wish he was able to help me and my family for our entire visit. This is where I'm torn 5 stars for Johnson's service. No star for Nicole. read more

A while back when I was still in high school I tried to open a credit card. Nicole Shao was tasked to help me and after confirming a few questions, she made ME call corporate and answer some questions, after which corporate didn't let my request go through. That alone didn't trigger me as much, but it was the fact that Nicole really bluntly pointed out that it was all my fault that I didn't answer the questions according to how she would have. Well why don't you just answer the questions for me then? She showed super poor customer service and was rude to me and blamed me for the failed application. I was unhappy and decided to go open an account at Bank of America. Then recently, I got a new debit card for my Chase account and when I tried to verify it online at home it failed so I came into this chase branch and the teller told me this card already got activated and asked if I was sure it wasn't me. I literally just received it in the mail too so they had to restart the process and resend me a debit card... Seems like Chase is not too secure! My friend was promised a rewards credit card with 3% back by someone at chase and after a while realized there were no rewards to be redeemed. She called corporate and they were super rude and told her that's too bad your card doesn't come with rewards, meaning the account managers at the bank lied. Moreover, she has a lot of random charges that she didn't make on her card. I should've told Nicole how rude she was back then and just closed my account to be honest... read more

I would always come in to withdrawal by using those big machines cause it's very fast and convenient. Plus it's right across from the mall which is awesome. Plenty of parking and stress free lol. This review is mainly about the customer service here. It's seriously the best! Alvin is now my primary go-to guy for all my banking needs. Not only is he patient with all of my questions, he offers me financial advice based on his personal experience and knowledge. Let me note that I first came to him, I had no credit card and I wasn't even getting approved for a Macy's card (embarrassing!). Having taken his advice, he's helped me improved my credit tremendously and I was recently approved for a Chase Sapphire card today w/an insane credit limit! He truly cares about his customers' needs and I can surely attest to that. Also, every time I lose my credit card - he handles all of it immediately and even puts a rush on it so I get it in 2 business days. Uh-mazing!! I'm sure the other representatives are nice as well - they are always greeting customers with a smile and checking in to make sure the wait time isn't too long. Parking is awesome, the lot is huge and there's two ATM vestibules outside if you want to avoid human contact, lol. read more

Came in around 250-315 and Honestly when I walked in the guy was nice but right when I asked him a question he seemed turned off... like a little annoyed and I don't even know what I said or if the way I said it offended him which would make no sense because all I asked was how long would it take to get my SSN corrected? And he goes about 5 mins and I'm like ok and then we just stand there and I'm like okay? And he gestures me to someone finally and this guy named peter helped me and all the guy did was explain to him if he could help me with my ssn and he goes yeah and so I sit down and peter just stares at me and doesn't ask a single thing. So I said do u need my debit card and id? And he just nods no smile or anything whatsoever. He helps me but doesn't say anything the entire time I have no idea what his next steps are in helping me or etc etc he just keeps working and typing shit on his own without even updating me what he's doing to my account. He comes back with some printed forms and just asks me to sign and doesn't explain to me what I'm even signing. So I asked him okay what am I signing exactly? And he finally explains to me but ends it with " okay? So I need you to sign it" This guy then goes away and comes back after like 10 mins and says I have to sign another form. Ok not only did this whole process not even take 5mins it took way longer and this guy was so condescending it was not even funny. I felt belittled and stupid for coming here and asking this location for help. He came back with one more form and not only did he not explain to me again what the form was he FINALLY treated me like a guest and gave that good ol chase service after the process was done and I was leaving. when I was leaving he called me back because he forgot to ask me to sign a form. My husband and I took time off work to meet with the mortgage representative. We had an appointment but when we got there, he had taken a "walk-in" before we arrived. Came over and gave us "a minute" of his time and told us he didn't want to waste our time, that he had reviewed our info, and that he'll let us know if the rate becomes lower. He did not review our info because we have not provided any. That's why we had an appt to go over documents. He had no idea what he was talking about. When they reconfirmed the appt with us, my husband was going to cancel the appt but they assure us that they would try to get us a lower rate. this branch is ultra shady, told me they dont have a bathroom and to go to the kfc which is what employees at this two story do. ok thats fine dont need to go pee that bad let me finish what i need to do. then after he sees we are here to do business he changes his story and says there is a bathroom upstairs. i appreciate that there are no public restrooms at places, but dont lie. just say there are no public restrooms no need to lie. then we had the misfortune of getting ms shao as our banker. she said i was not elligible for a banking bonus sent to me in the mail because i had poa on an account i wasnt even aware i was poa on and never signed anything for. she then said shed talk to her manager and disappeared for less than a minute and came back affirming her decision. Why this is a large clean branch at a great location with plenty parking but has very little foot traffic inside. And the smaller Temple City Chase Bank with few parking spaces is always packed with people waiting to be served. The difference is business knowledge or know how to fulfill the customer banking needs. It took two days and couple hours each day with all four partners to semi-complete adding one more partner to couple business accounts. Finally, called and e-mail the VP I worked with before in Downey Chase Business Banking completed all the missing links within 15 minutes. Please be prepared to take longer time and more documentation and still not completed, if you want to open or alternate your business accounts. read more
