Stopped by on a whim after getting my hair done across the street for an overdue pedicure and I was pleasantly surprised. Although when I first stepped in the place seemed absurdly busy, I had less than a five minute wait time to get seated. The lady who take care of me was super professional and nice and did an awesome job. Another plus to the day was that it was a Tuesday so the pedicure only cost me $20 (not including tip) which is $3 less than the usual place I go. Next time I'm in the neighborhood, I will definitely stop by again! The only downer is the parking situation because it is hope st but, if you are lucky you may find parking right in front of the salon. read more

Never been to this place so this is my first impression. I call to make an appointment at 4:30pm. I ask (again because I've never been there and know some places could give zero shits about your time or upholding an appointment made) if it is a good idea for me to also call closer to that time to ensure they will be able to see me at 4:30. The woman rudely says "if your appointment is at 4:30 that's the time we will do your nails". Okayyyy sounds good! I get there at 420 no one greets me and I'm just awkwardly standing there like "hello". Someone goes can I help you. I say I have an appt at 430 and she says ok pick a color. By 445 I'm still waiting there. The girl beside me says she had an appt at 4:15 and is still waiting. I just left. I made an appointment because o have shit to do. Like if you can't even stick to appointments or even acknowledge a customer and the fact that you are running late and let you customers know so they can no sit there a wait like they don't have things to do. The worst pedicure I've ever gotten! Within one week, my pedicure was chipping. Upon close inspection, there were blotches of discolored polish from uneven application. I have been getting gel manicures and pedicures at this salon for over four (4) years now and have never been disappointed! They do a great job for a great price. I moved out of the East Side and still go to this salon because I appreciate their work. Because they are good, they can be busy, so I recommend making an appointment ahead of time. With that said, if you walk-in and need to wait, it will be worth it! All of the ladies are very talented but if Lin has availability, I would highly recommend her. Ok so this place is convenient and you can usually find parking but beyond that there are some issues. First it is ALWAYS very busy which is fine if the wait was worth it but IMHO it is not. They do a slap dash job, quick quick at the expense of quality. Have been there three times for a pedicure. They do nothing to remove calluses beyond a cursory rub with a pumice stone. The foot massage was lazy. The polish job was good but here it is a week later and it is already chipping - not good especially since it typically lasts a month when I go to my usual place. In their favor they are less expensive by a couple of bucks and the space is pleasant. On the other hand it is usually hot in the salon and the two times I used the bathroom while I was there, it was dirty. There are too many other places that do a quality job that lasts. read more

I took my mom here for a shellac manicure for her birthday. They made a point of pointing out that we weren't "regulars" and made it seem like a big inconvenience that we were there. The manicurist was very rough with my mom's hands, pulling and grabbing them when she tried to show me the color. At the end, they skipped lotioning and massaging our hands--which we saw them do to the lady next to us getting shellac. I felt very unwelcome and won't go again despite the fact that I live jut down the street. read more

Wow. Ripped cuticles, misshapened nails. Very painful experience. The paint job, on the other hand, was pretty good but the negatives far outweigh the positives. My nail technician was nice enough but clearly was not interested in making sure I had a great experience (e.g., cutting my nails - sometimes inverted! - while looking at the TV, customers walking through the door). I went here because I needed a last-minute appointment but learned my lesson. read more

I called last week since I wanted a mani-pedi before my birthday party.. They accommodated me pretty quickly and I was allowed to come in within 15 mins. Quite a crossroad the location is, parking lot is small but guess, you can't expect much from the strip mall kind of place. As I entered, I was welcomed warmly by the lady. The place is decent enough, nothing awesome. Looked more like a huge living area organized well for what needs to be done there.. Neat, not clumsy at all. I was showed the chair for my pedicure. The lady did ok when she started, but the massage was so short that I could count the minutes. It was just so quick and I have never had a pedicure that short till now. Did she rush, no. It seemed like that's all she could do. I hardly felt relaxed with the whole thing. Painting nails cannot be the only good thing about a pedicure, C'mon!! So, right there, I was super disappointed and wanted to ask for more. However, I didn't because I didn't feel it could get better. No, am not assuming and crying without even trying, sometimes you just know, you don't want to ask. It was that simple. Next came my manicure.. Now, this seemed a lil better than the pedi, for a simple reason.. The manicurist ! She made small talk with me about simple things, her day, health of nails and things. But, alas, I guess she pinched the cuticle pusher a lil too hard down.. I got hurt. The catch being, I didn't know till she applied acetone towards the end. That's when it burned.. But, I give it to her.. Neither did she nor me realise that the pusher hurt my finger, so I cannot blame her. Even though I told her about getting hurt, she didn't seem to feel sorry.. Nevertheless, I assume she didn't understand what I said so, no qualms.. I am Ok. I did have a lil pain on and off the next 48 hrs but, what on earth, it is just a cut. A shellac Mani is $25 and the basic pedi was $23, the pedi was totally not worth it.. While the mani was just ok. I somehow couldn't force myself to tip the lady who did my pedicure, coz I didn't think it should b charity instead should be more of a thank you. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling so. Was it a horrible experience, NO.. Was I satisfied or atleast peaceful with it? NO.. Will I go back? Duh.. As I finish the review, I just want to believe that it was probably just my bad day ! read more

Love this place! I can always walk in with little to no wait no matter the time of day. They have a ton of people working there so you never really need to worry about making appointments ahead of time or anything. They do a great job with my pedicures lasting for over two months and my gel manicures lasting over a month without chipping! It's also relatively inexpensive. There is one girl who works there who is hilarious and I always have the best time chatting with her. My only complaint is that they recently have been skimping on the "pampering" part of the pedicures. They rush through it with little to no foot/leg massage. And that was my favorite part of the pedi. Hopefully they can get their standards back up to what they used to be! read more

Went there yesterday for a pedicure, asked specifically not to cut or file anything (already did it a day before myself) and concentrate on the skin instead, and was cut so deeply at the corner of a toenail that it steel hurts....hopefully there isn't going to be any inflammation....never going there back... Accidental cut is one thing, cutting a client while talking to coworker and doing something specifically being asked not to do - another....:/ read more

I use to live on the east side, now I live further away and I will always drive over for my nails because, they do a great nails and the salon is very clean. Some of the girls spend a longer time on the massage part, that's OK this type of salon it is all about maintenance. They scrub your feet, clean up your cuticles and I have never had a bad polish job. read more

I've never had such a rush of a pedi in my life. They aren't too busy in December. The girl didn't address me at all until it was time to pay. She even just tapped my feet to notify me it was time to put them in the water. They give nothing extra for a $25 pedi. No stones or even a short massage. Their hot towels were in a pile in the warmer and it looked very unsanitary. She used the nail polish remover more than the polish. I've been going to city nails for a few years off and on. They are very reasonably priced and they do a great job and I love that I can get in an out when getting a simple manicure. My only complaint is there are very few personable girls who work here. No conversation or smile. It's the only down side. I recently moved to Providence and gave Citi Nails a chance. The woman took two hours to do a pink and white fill, and it was theeeee worst one i have ever seen. Nails are uneven, and some longer then others. I asked her to cut a cuticle and she told me it would be an extra 10$. Ill take my business back to warwick salon. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. The owner is a huge snob and customer service is the last thing on her mind. I have been a regular customer for three years. I showed up on a Tuesday at 6:45 to get a manicure. They close at 7:30 on Tuesdays. There were plenty of employees there as well as other women getting their nails done. I went to open the door and it was locked. I pulled it again... locked. Instead of coming to the door, the owner and her staff ignored me. After I knocked on the glass, she finally peeked her head out and said "Sorry, our last appointment is at 6:30." I said "I am not trying to make an appointment. Your hours are clearly posted in the center of your front door saying you are open for business until 7:30pm. I just drove all the way here for a manicure." Her response, "Sorry, our last appointment is at 6:30." My reply "Are you seriously going to lock your doors 45 minutes early and go against your posted hours because you don't feel like taking any other customers?" All she kept replying was "Sorry, our last appointment is at 6:30." And then while I was still speaking, she closed and locked the door in my face and walked away. Newsflash Citi Nails: Go to any other establishment, the gate comes down and doors get locked in a business when it is ACTUALLY closed. Hours are posted on doors and websites for a reason- so customers know when they can VISIT you, not when they can stare from outside and watch other people get serviced. Do you go to Macy's and see the staff lock their doors 45 min early and not let you in? NO. They SERVICE their customers until the store closes and THEN lock their doors, count their drawers, clean up and prepare for the next day. Needless to say, I will not be going back. I don't know how the owner thinks she can treat her regular customers like this. She lets people drive all the way to her business with the plan of giving her and her staff money, just to lock a door in their face and leave them out in the cold. I would bring my friends here regularly and obviously now we will ALL be going somewhere else. I was already frustrated that only half of the technicians there know what they are doing, but this was the icing on the cake. read more

Went for the first time about a month ago, when I walked in the lady at desk was rude and unhappy. The worker's there were very nice and pleasant, they did a great job when I got my nails done. So I decided to go back again last Monday around 1 p.m. there no one waiting, other than myself. I saw one other nail tech assisting a customer and then two other techs were doing pedi's. The lady at the desk told me "I have no one to do your nails today." as soon as I walked in the door, "So I simply replied with "there's no one here all day today who can do my nails?" Mind you this is a nail place that provides walk-in service and is open until 7 p.m. I understand if the shop is busy but the woman sitting down was extremely rude I felt discriminated and she never offered me an appointment or for a different time to come back. I believe she was the owner of the shop, a spanish lady. I wont be returning back, I suggest you should change your attitude and treat your clients nicer if you want to stay in business. I went down the street where it was much busier at Majestic Nails and they were more than happy to assist me even if I had to wait. read more
