Although the customer service is very poor, these ladies do a GREAT job when it comes to nails. Ive been going to this place for about 2 years and not once have I been disappointed with the outcome of their work. Just moved to the neighborhood, stopped in on a Saturday afternoon expecting to at least have to wait. Not at all, Was seen right away! Received an awesome Pedicure. unfortunately my daughter goes here quite often and likes the place but it is very difficult to get a gift certificate. I looked online and nothing, then I called and they said they do have certificates, HOWEVER, you must go to the place to buy it. Too Bad they just lost a sale, I live 60 miles from there and I won't waste the gas. The purpose of the certificate is convenience which I guess they don't understand. I've found this place to be extremely rude. I've been here a few times each thinking I'll give them the benefit of the doubt but the customer service is just really terrible. Quality-wise the Shellac manicure I had done at Metro Nails was much better around the edges, and lasted longer. At Metro Nails they also always ask if you like the color, even Shellac, and there's none of the snobbery. I strongly recommend you take your business there. read more

Meh. Not impressed. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expected a luxury spa experience but I at least expected hot water in the tub. Or even warmish water after I asked twice. The massage chairs were worn and the remote controls barely operated. My technician was literally facing away from me, staring off into space, as she proceeded to sleep walk thru my pedicure. No leg massage, minimal work on my feet. Only saving grace was the I only waited a few minutes & fact that the polish job looked nice. Then again, it started chipping two days later. Did a poor job on my pedicure. The technician did not remove the previous gel polish completely and proceeded to just coat over it. Now there are marks underneath the new gel polish that are visible. I love how clean and professional Citi Nails is, especially for their prices. I come here at least twice a month and have never had a bad experience. It's usually very busy on Friday afternoons but I've found that first thing Saturday mornings is a great time to go. I typically bring my own polish, but they have a great selection on OPI and Essie ones available. They take appointments but I just walk in and have no problem getting taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. They offer a mani/pedi special on Tuesdays for $28 and you just can't beat that! read more

I've been to Citi Nails twice now and I have to say I'm not impressed. The first time I went in for a mani/pedi which was only ok. The polish chipped after only 3 days and the whole experience left much to be desired. Citi Nails is (as another reviewer put it) a "no frills" kind of place. While I agree with that, you would never guess it by the prices. $25 for a pedicure is ridiculous, unless I'm at a legit spa getting one of those crazy fish pedicures or something. If you're getting a manicure alone it's a whopping 18 dollars, but coupled with a pedicure it's $35. During my first mani/pedi experience I was mostly ignored throughout the entirety of my visit - even the woman who was painting my nails only said two words to me (which were "what color?"). The whole experience was awkward and so I put of writing a review until I gave them another chance. This past week I wanted to give Shellack a try and decided to try Citi Nails again, as it was only 2 blocks from where I work (read: convenient). I went in and asked for a shellack manicure and a regular pedicure. This time the woman who was painting my nails (someone different then my last visit) was super friendly although the actual mani/pedi experience was still lacking. My biggest complaint is the calf/hand massage - meaning there wasn't one. 8 days later my nail polish hasn't chipped but the manicurist left a small gap between my cuticle and where the nail polish ends, so at this point the now 1/8th inch+ gap looks horrible and I'll probably have to just take the polish off which is sad. All this for $60 after tip. I'll just have to continue my search for a reasonably priced, quality nail salon in Providence. read more

Not much to say here. Pedicure took 15 minutes and three days later it's chipping. My pinky toe nails are a little jacked, and somehow every other nail tech at other salons has been able to manage them so they look good/normal (lol). My nail looks like I smudged it, and I didn't. She jacked it up even more. The cuticles on my hands are all peeling. She didn't file my nails evenly. I didn't get her name but she really wanted to get me in and out. Friendly staff and they take walk ins! Stopped in for a quick mani and I must say, I've never been this satisfied by how my nail came out. Only $12 on top of that! This will likely be my go-to place for my mani/pedi. Parking can be on the difficult side, they share a lot with Apsara Palace and a laundromat. I used to go there when I lived in Providence, and it was much better 5 years ago. The girl who did my nails was not very pleasant. When I showed her that my nails were splitting, she just said "so they are splitting", but she didn't care much about it. She also failed to explain to me how the gel manicure machine works, as in how to tap it to restart it. As a result, 3 days later, 2 of my gel nails already came off. Lastly, they take a credit card but you can not tip on the card. Wtf??? So what is the point of having to pay with the card??? I had to run to the bank to get her tip. Loved my gel manicure!! They are really shy but super sweet and they make sure you are happy. They always ask me for confirmation whether I like the way the color looks or not. They seem to have a lot of loyal customers, the day I went in it seemed like everyone knew everyone... a very pleasant atmosphere. Walked in right when it opened for a pedicure. As I was there the place filled up and no one had to wait. Staff was extremely friendly. Pedicure for the price was great. My only dissatisfaction was even though they take cards, I can't tip on my card which I felt awful because I only had a few dollars cash. I wanted to try a new place since I was in the area... bad idea. It's hard to express how exactly I like my nails so all I can say is I like them rounded but not oval it's like right in between she didn't understand an tried it twice making it too short so after the second try I just said "never mind. It's fine" she clearly got aggravated with me because he starts to be super rough with me pulling my hand and talking under her breath to the coworker next to her. I believe like MANY others if I'm paying for my nails to be done I should have them how I want but if you can't then like I said "IT'S FINE". Before she's done I go to wash my hands so she can paint them an she turns to one of her coworkers telling her what seemed to be a whole story clearly of what she just experienced with me. I go back to my seat to get my nails painted at this point I'm getting stared down by multiple coworkers. I'm no dummy an I find it so messed up for people to use them knowing another language as an opportunity to talk bad about people. I did NOTHING wrong. I didn't give her attitude, I didn't say anything rude to her NOTHING so for me to be treated so poorly really upset me. After I paid (which of course after that I'm not giving a tip) I let her finish an just left. First thing I noticed after getting in my car was a paper taped to their window talking about depression and not going through it alone. I have suffered with depression for over 10 years and I'm a really nice person so being treated like that just ruined my day! With all that being said I will NEVER go back there again. read more

Vivian does a great job with the pedicures, and is even forgiving when she has to fix the work someone else does. The other girls are great too. These girls are perfectionists! They do a great job. It's a bare-bones operation, but they have plenty of colors and the place is always clean. You can tell they take great pride in their work and want to make sure you're happy. There are lots of regulars there- even male cops! I made a 12:30 appt same day and they took me pretty much right away. They're friendly too. I think they're actually open until 7:30pm weeknights. And the prices! Amazing. I got a fill for $17 which costs $25 or $30 around my house. I'll be returning. read more
