There wasn't a clearly marked spot to drop us off and so we walked a bit, and we ended up walking right past the station. It was directly across the bridge. So, definitely, take the subway next time. We made a reservation at Champions restaurant, but (Scam - they take your credit card for a reservation even though only courtside tickets are allowed to dine here) we were not able to eat there. I didn't like how we had to wait to get past the gates, they hold you there until after 6pm for the evening matches. Then, of course, the crowd rushes for the food, the bathrooms, and the shops and as a result, you can't do much of anything. Still, I had a delicious lobster roll from the food kiosks (Red Hook Lobster Pound). Inside Arthur Ashe, the seating was great, there were plenty of bathrooms and food options, and with the screens, you could see everything. What I didn't like, was the constant seat switching by people trying to get better seats. I suppose this happens at stadiums everywhere, but since you are supposed to be in your seat for play to start, this was so annoying to see people going up and down the stairs. Still, we got to see some great tennis, and the vibes here are great. It took forever to get to the ride share pickup (this needs better signage) and we walked quite a ways in the dark.

Security was quick and easy to get through especially considering the large crowds. The US Open village really is as cool as they say. Lots of Us open swag for sale and corporate sponsor pop ups (saw a lot from Chase in particular). If you leave the game you can always watch the match from one or the several television screens outside too. I thought the food options weee excellent. I saw lots of high end restaurants lile Coqadoq and FUKU and Eataly. Not your run of the mill fast food. It's very pricey though($8 for a soda). Don't believe they permit outside food. Inside the stadium itself, ithe seats were clean. Not super comfortable but pretty standard stadium seats . I liked how before the start of the game they televised the player rules. As someone who doesn't follow tennis closely this was a nice refresh. I'm not sure that I've seen this at other sports games I've been to. All in all I enjoyed my experience at Asher Ashe. I can't believe it's taken me this long to visit.

There used to be a separate station with hamburgers and hot dogs and a salad bar to add extra onions and lettuce. Now both are gone, although the burgers and dogs were added to the food line. On to the stands, our tickets were in row 6, and Paul the guard noticed that my son was mobility impaired, and found us seats that weren't currently occupied much lower. He had directed us to the other gate, where they supposedly had handicapped seating, but Tom at that gate, basically told us to get lost. All's well that ends well, and later in the game, Paul even came by and gave us waters and chips. Above and beyond. Around the 6th inning, they brought out desserts. My young uns loved it but I could not eat another bite. Hyundai Club will spoil you for all time. This is how to see a baseball game. The Mets won, by the way.

Getting there does require a bit of walking as we ended up parking at the Skyview Mall and it was about a 20 minute walk from there. There is an LRR station right next to it, so if you come via train it would be much shorter. Security was a breeze and once you enter, it is more like a Universal Studios experience with several corporate enclosures that give you an immersive experience. We tried the Amex enclosure and there were plenty of activities inside including personalized tennis balls, Virtual table Tennis and even a tennis game video recording. We enjoyed the experience so much that forgot we were here to see a tennis match. After getting to the stadium itself, it was as if a festival was going on as more people were lined up at the food enclosures rather than the match itself. We saw a ladies singles where Jasmine Paolini was playing against Aiava, Destanee, none of whom I had heard of. It was a straight forward match with Paolini winning in straight sets. The main event was Medvedev vs a very unknown Benjamin Bonzi and what a match it turned out to be. Firrst of all most of the support was for Medvedev, but Bonzi ended up winning the first two sets. As he was serving for the match on a second serve, out of nowhere a cameraman walked onto the court. This hot the referee to award Bonzi a first serve, but Medvedev just lost it and created a whole commotion, first with the referee and then with the crowd who was very much behind him at that point. There was so much noise that play stopped for seven minutes as the crowd just roared non stop. This shook Bonzi so much that he ended up losing that set and even the next set 0-6 only to recover and beat Medvedev 6-4 in the final set. He did ended up getting a lot of support after that incident as they all felt sorry for him. It was a historic match, where Medvedev ended up getting fined 42K for his antics. We definitely got our money worth after all that excitement and watching a historic moment. The whole atmosphere, facilities, staff, stadium, cleanliness food was excellent.

All I could think about was how I was finally going to score those famous Honey Deuces. Instagram had hyped it up so much that I made it my mission to grab one as soon as we got inside. Lol. We were a party of 8 and went all in on the Honey Deuces... only to end up disappointed. They were way too sweet, and after a couple sips, we gave them away and switched over to Aperol Spritz instead. The only catch is that they weren't freshly made but poured from pre-bottled mixes. Not ideal, but with a crowd that massive, I get why they do it. As for the matches, we got to see both women's semifinals: Sabalenka vs. Pegula and Osaka vs. Anisimova. I'll leave the deep tennis commentary to the pros but for me, it was more about the atmosphere. With the roof closed because of rain, the stadium felt like a giant echo chamber in the best way. Every cheer bounced around, the energy was nonstop, and just being part of that crowd was unforgettable. Overall, it was such a fun night , drinks and food aside, the US Open lived up to the hype, and being there in person was an electric experience I'll never forget!

The menu choices and vendors inside change over time. When I was here they had Chomp'd sandwiches and donut bites, Dulcinea churros (pricey), Destination dumplings. The history behind this iconic venue and all of the legends who have played here is incredible. To make the experience even better I got to see one of the greatest rappers alive, who just so happens to be from New York. Without a doubt, it ranks among the top five greatest experiences I've ever had. Let me not forget to mention that having seats in the Delta SKY360° Suite only added to the overall experience. If I ever make it back to Yankee Stadium, this is the only place I want to sit. The view is phenomenal and if you were attending a baseball game it would be comparable to sitting right behind home plate. You also get access to a private lounge with a variety of food options, multiple bars, and an incredibly friendly staff. Now, as for the concert itself if you didn't make it to one of the three nights at Yankee Stadium you truly missed something special. We went to an afternoon game and had the privilege of experiencing the club level suite, and honestly, it was a 10/10 experience! Everything was seamless from the moment we arrived, from security and check in to getting our wristbands and entering the suite. Upstairs, it was more of a formal sit down dining experience with SO many food options. We're talking tacos, lobster tails, French toast with fresh berries. There was truly something for everyone! Downstairs was more relaxed and had many of the same options, plus even more. Burgers, hot dogs, sushi, a candy bar, ice cream with warm cookies. The list goes on! And it doesn't stop there. Outside in the club seats, there's another menu where you can order food and have it brought right to your seat, and it's included with your ticket! Everything is included except beer and wine. There are also coolers stocked with soda and water that you can grab whenever you want, plus peanuts. The staff constantly comes around to check on you, take orders, and bring drinks. Everyone we encountered was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The only con is THE SUN! If you're going to an afternoon game on a hot day, be prepared because there is absolutely no shade. You WILL feel that sun! But the pro is that you're sitting close to the players and right in the middle of all the action, so the experience is hard to beat. We also lucked up with a little extra bonus because the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were in town to play the Jets, so some of the players were at the game. We even got to see Baker Mayfield, which was pretty sweet! And because celebrities are often in the suites, that's another fun perk to keep in mind. The food was AMAZING, the service was excellent, and the entire experience was worth every penny. If you've been on the fence about splurging on club seats and getting that suite experience at Yankee Stadium, JUST GO FOR IT! You won't regret it. 10/10. Absolutely worth it!
