Don't go in as a single person to eat. When I said table for one the waitress told me I should sit with other people and maybe I would make friends. Awkward. I was put at a table that looked directly into the kitchen. I could watch her talking to co-workers but she didn't have time to deliver chips and salsa. I guess a table for one doesn't need them. I was upset and handed my card to her and asked her to please box it up so I could just leave. She ran my card up in a hurry and then walked away. I had to tell another person I was still waiting on my order to take with me. I don't know if he was the manager or not but he was rude and told me I was mean to her. We have been customers for many years but I'm sad to see the downhill trend in this business. Some of the management from the closed WLV location have come and clearly are carrying over their poor customer relations skills. Bringing over the manager was a poor decision. Went over last sunday with some friends to watch football. This place was awesome !! TV's everywhere so you could watch any game you wanted. Great crowd and a huge patio outside. I was excited by the appearance of this joint as I walked in. However was quickly disappointed: 4 of us had to send back our margaritas, as they tasted rancid. My frijoles were dry, the rice bland, and I would have to say our fish tacos and ceviche were 80% red cabbage and lettuce. The quality and portions of the food was simply not up to par for the price we paid. I have been a patron of Cisco's for 25 years, and go there for taco Tuesday with my coworkers every Tuesday. In all that time I have never ever, ever had such horrible service as I had today! It took our waitress a half hour to take our order, and then it took over an hour for us to receive our food. When we did finally get our food, five out of the eight orders were wrong! The waitress re-took our order, and we waited another 15 minutes. When she brought the food out, again, two of the orders were still wrong and watery! At this point we had already been at the restaurant and hour and a half, and I only have an hour for lunch. I asked to speak to the manager who's name is Miller. I explained everything that happened emphasizing the fact that the food took an hour to be delivered the first time and then was wrong over and over again, and then I told him that I have been coming there for 25 years and will never return. His response was I'm sorry but come back next Tuesday and I will take care of you. I looked at him and said, you can take care of us today because I wont be back. His response was,oh you'll be back! REALLY? What kind of manager has that response? Obviously somebody not interested in keeping a customers business! Then he came to the table and again said I'm sorry but you'll be back! I am totally flabbergasted by the unprofessionalism of this manager. The food was horrible the service was horrible and he follows suit. read more

Came for trivia on a Thursday night. Arrived around 6:15pm for trivia that was scheduled to begin at 7pm. 7pm came and went - we stayed till 7:45 and decided we'd had enough of chips and beer for the night. It didn't seem like anyone else cared within my group or even at the bar that the guy was at least 45min late... but if you're going to post something like that on several websites and have it confirmed by the hostess, I feel like it should happen or at least have the waitress/hostess give you an update. We have been here over an hour with reservations made DAYS ago.....they are so flipping greedy that they are letting small walk in parties go ahead so they can get there money. I am puzzled by the few people who give this place a good review. The food and service are equally terrible. How does it stay in business, unless it's because all of the good reviews seem to be written by people who spend a lot of time at the bar, maybe they don't eat, or eat after having a few too many margaritas and don't notice how god awful the food is. And the servers seem to be, as someone in an earlier review mentioned, to be on a prison work release program. Disappointed be careful that you do not get short changed if you give cash as payment. My family went in for the first time to CISCO's in Thousand Oaks since Westlake had closed. It was not the food the got to us. It was the lack of Service. Not only did we wait 10 min for chips and salsa and someone to notice that we were siting but not even the busboy or busgirl to come and ask us for water. Finally we got served by Waiter J....at 5:44pm. Then we got served flat sodas and a terrible margarita. We waited for another 10 min and then he asked us for our order. After 15:05 min our food came cold beans and rice. We ate without complaining or making a fuss until now. The reason for the 1 star was I gave cash $100 and got short changed by $1 and no change. I asked the guy for the correct change and he came back with 50 cents. Still not the correct amount. For me it was not the food but the service and the lack of honesty. It may seem silly but I work hard for my money and that may not be a lot of money its still mine. I am not sure if the cashier screwed up or if the waiter just rounded up so they collect more money in the end. When I asked for the correct amount to the waiter, he should have gone back counted the cash and give me back my change. So the biggest thing for me was trust. As stated I am very picky when it comes to good service. That just makes the food and experience that much better. The manager came over and I explained I did not want a free meal or come back and call him card. I just wanted not to be screwed and that they need to train cashiers or waiters how to properly count money. It may have been an accident but that does not change the fact that somebody should pay for something and get the correct amount of money back. read more

We were appalled at the lack of service on a Tuesday evening. After waiting for some time to be seated we were blatantly ignored by multiple wait staff and even watched as two separate waiters served a table that was seated much after us and yet couldn't be bothered to even look at our table. After waiting 20 minutes with no help or service we left and found another Mexican restaurant that was more than willing to serve us. We will never be back to this restaurant. read more

This Place Rocks! I love you Harry & Mer!!!!! So i made the trek out to Thousand Oaks to see an old friend the other week and we went out to dinner at Cisco's. The plan was to grab a quick bite then go back to his place for a poker game. You know how the story goes...We got sucked into the trivia game and never made it to poker. The drinks are strong and the the audience is rowdy. They know their trivia! This is by far one of the best trivia nights i have been to. Thank you Harry & Mer and good job King Trivia. I hate to really DUMP on a place but this one just had Baaad Food all around!!! Our family of 10 went to CISCO's this past weekend for an Early Dinner...they were NOT crowded so there's NO EXCUSE for the food. We all sat on the patio...it was not crowded. The waiter and the busboys were pretty good...they kept coming around for refills etc. I had a Combo Plate, Beef Enchilada & Beef Burrito....about $11. The food was incredibly DRY...just dry beef wrapped in a tortilla...no sauce no cheese??? I kept borrowing sauces from the others just to make it edible. My wife had a Special Veggie Enchilada...she said it was tasteless...the sauce was inedible??? My Son had a Tostado...it arrived with some chicken on top of a very skinny salad...there was no or very little lettuce in it! Where have you ever seen a Tostado that was no higher than about an inch? He had to ask for lettuce to put on it! My Daughter had an Enchilada plate...She took one bite and left it!!! My son-in-law ate about a third of his giant burrito and just stared at it the rest of the night! On of my grandsons got his order without a salad...then a small plate of lettuce with nothing on it arrived...then they came back for the third time and finally gave him his salad!!! I don't know what was going on in the kitchen but I suggest they contact the Food Network and beg someone to come down to teach them to cook!!! This place is a TEARDOWN!!!! read more

Sorry will not be going back here for dinner. I ordered a house margarita, it was awful I had to send it back and I should say I am not a picky drinker - so it was bad. The lighting was poor could not see what I was eating....and it did not taste like it should. It was 8:30pm Saturday and they started setting up the tables for Sunday Buffet carrying in folding tables etc and doing morning set up. Great for ambience. My all time favorite Mexican restaurant. Came here all the time growing up and recently went back to find it was still pretty good.

I always enjoy coming here to have a few cocktails and some street tacos in the bar area. It hasn't changed much since I was last here and I like that. The prices are inexpensive during happy hour, actually they are really cheap and the good is really good. There is always a friendly face smiling behind the bar and a very comfortable patio to enjoy a few laughs with old friends. read more

Normally this is my go to place but the last 2 times I've gone the front desk is rude and there food has gone downhill.

The service tonight was really bad. Waited 10 mins before we found a manager who sent a waitress from the bar to assist us. She was good. The margaritas were chunky and the food so-so. The manager gave us the drinks but we won't be back. Interior is very dated and the varnish is sticky on the tables. read more
