The food is amazing! The service is great, very quick. The owner is really nice! Definitely would recommend

Cisco's Pico Pizza

By far the best pizza on the boardwalk. The owner really puts his all into each pizza which is why that is the only pizza spot I revisit in Venice. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Got the Cisco's Pico Pizza this time and it was incredible!

I appreciate the effort and the idea of a tavern style-ish place. Wish the pies were a lil bit bigger.

Best pizza in the boardwalk period. Had the pleasure of trying two of Cisco's pizzerias pies. Tavern style and Donnie's doughy. Both amazing, thin crust was like a cracker, sauce is on point and generous toppings, the Donnie's doughy margarita style with olive oil diissled in top was great as well. Will be back soon, owner was on site and you can tell he puts his heart in what he creates.

Awesome pizza that's made to order. Real food, not deep fried boardwalk food! The owner was also a really nice guy.

We lived in Chicago for over 10 years before moving to LA so know a thing or two about tavern style pizza.

Served with vodka sauce, it's delicious when it's hot, never had this dish elsewhere. It comes with two of it. However, it started to get heavy after half piece of it. So consider getting a salad to pair with it. Perfect for 3-4 person to share I'd say, or prepare to have some leftover if it's just two of you. Pepe-roni Pizza (8.5/10): honestly I quite like this, it wasn't a lot of filling so it's not the super heavy kind of pizza. I prefer thin crust pizza over super "bread-y" pizzas, this pizza is airy yet the crust is very crisp and light. Yummy. (^ Would come back to try the Copione pizza TAGLIATELLE (7-8/10): My friend ordered it, I did try so I can't speak much for that looks good to me. This place is slightly over-priced for what it is but the food is for sure delicious, makes sense for the Venice/ Santa Monica area. Ambience is cozy, clean, nothing super aesthetically pleasing. Seems like a great place to have friends gathering dinner, no loud music and can have conversation.

We requested to not be sandwiched between two other tables and were sat in a nice location. However, we were waiting for a while and no one was coming to take our order. I kept making eye contact with the host booth and they'd look away and they finally they said - "has no one helped you?" And I confirmed. We had a server come and they apologized, took our order and relayed that our server is on his break. We realized happy hour was ending and ordered more when the drinks were dropped off. To get extra condiments, I needed to flag someone after trying to get their attention. Although the food came quickly, no one checked on us the entire visit. We asked the gentleman clearing our plates to bring us the check and we paid on our phone and left. Hearing the server at the table next to us, they asked about allergies, were checking in on how things are going every step of the way, offering dessert and providing way more than the very basic service that we needed to request. I'm honestly shocked that we had this very poor service experience. As for food and drink, the Aperol spritz and cocktail flight was solid. Fries were really great. The vodka rigatoni had a nice kick to it and caesar salad and meatballs were really tasty. As you can see, food was great, and I highly recommend their happy hour. However, the service was just so poor and based on this experience, I'm not too sure that I'd ever dine at Ospi again!

Operating exclusively on Friday afternoons out of a church parking lot with classic rock playing. This portable setup has just works. They are pumping out fantastic, massive 18" pies that are a lovely cross between New York and Napoli styles. The crust has a delicious taste and a perfect chew, but with the structure and size of a large NY pizza pie. The Margheroni pizza was excellent, featuring an ultra-tangy tomato sauce with a lot of bite, though my pepperoni pie could have used more slices of pepperoni. The team has thought of all the details. Service is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and organized. Because they only sell whole 18" pies, you'll want to have family or friends to share in the goodness. While there are a few picnic tables on-site, most people opt for takeout. There is a slight wait if you walk up, but they accept same-day orders over the phone for a specific pick-up time so it's ready when you arrive. Payment is seamless--they take cash, debit, credit, and I easily paid via my Apple Watch. Tip: Remember, they are only open on Fridays! Call ahead to secure your pickup slot.

Yes, there is a slight wait for your order but time flies watching the well-oiled machine - from shaping the dough to shuffling pies in the oven, the team at Petramale really thought of all the details. Best part, there's seating, and live entertainment in the form of music and a basketball hoop on a truck for the whole family to enjoy We'll be back - wish I could've got a Petramale jersey for merch. Appetizers: Focaccia (sfincione) - 5/10 (GF rating 4/10) Super greasy, like, very. Make sure to ask for extra olive oil on the side, as that does make it better as they do have delicious olive oil. The bread seems like it's also cooked in olive oil, but frankly if they made their bread and had olive oil on the side it would've been much better. The bread itself though, ugh that whole bottom was wet in oil. Super unfortunate. Solid but oily as heck. Rice Croquettes (suppli in Bianco) - 5/10 (GF rating 2/10) Forgettable. Nothing special, no sauce paired with it. They're mediocre. I wouldn't get this again. Mains: Lamb Ragu (malloreddus) - 9/10 (GF rating 7.5/10) Extremely tasty. Pasta was very well cooked, lamb meat was perfect, as goes for the cheese on top and the sauce. Amazing meal. Would've been far better without having the subpar appetizers beforehand. Cheese and pepper pasta (cacio e Pepe) - 5/10 (GF rating 6.5/10) Non meat pastas aren't my thing, so take my rating with a grain of salt, as I would never get this myself. Girlfriend thought it was wayyyy too peppery, but that the pasta were cooked very well). Dessert: Panna Cotta - READ BELOW The panna cotta as a whole - disgusting. Jam on top was awfully bitter, quite literally inedible. The crouton like things were whatever. The panna cotta itself, as in only the white part, VERY good. After painstakingly doing our best to scrape off the jam, we were able to get to the base, and that itself tasted great (bar getting even a hint of the syrupy jam flowing into your bite). Service was fine. Didn't care for the ambiance.
