Swadlincote Window Co are a well established firm on the outskirts of Swadlincote, adjacent to the…read moreRailway Inn. In their showroom they have a wide variety of double glazed windows and doors to fit any style of house. They also fit fascias, guttering and garage doors, as well as installing flat rooves. The salesman and the staff that measure up are friendly and helpful, allowing you to make you to make your own decisions, rather than using the hard sell that blights so many other double glazing firms. The fitting staff that installed the windows and doors were proficient at their trade, keen to get on and produce a quality finish. Swadlincote Window Co are a professional company that pride themselves on their finished product. We were so happy with their workmanship, we also employed them to fit us a new garage door. The price is also competitive, which gives them another edge over their rivals.

The fitting staff were efficient and tidy and a pleasure to have around and the end product was great and at a really competitive price (had 4 quotes at the time). Would definitely recommend. Have been meaning to write this for years so hope they are still as good hehe

Unacceptable Customer Service from Stormclad In May 2023, I…read morehad Stormclad install a new front door for my home. While the door installation itself was satisfactory, I have encountered a major issue with the lock that has led to an extremely poor customer service experience. Approximately two months ago, in January 2024, the lock on the newly installed door stopped functioning properly. I promptly contacted Stormclad to report the issue and request service. Despite multiple attempts to reach them via phone and email over the past 10 weeks, the company has failed to respond or acknowledge my requests for assistance. The lack of any response from Stormclad regarding a defective lock on their recently installed product is unacceptable. As a paying customer, I expect a reasonable level of after-sales service and support, which they have failed to provide. While I have had a few relatively minor issues resolved satisfactorily with Stormclad in the past for previous door/window installations, their complete absence of any communication or customer service in this case is extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I am currently escalating this case through other channels, but I wanted to make Stormclad directly aware that this level of indifferent response to a product issue is detrimental to their reputation and will factor into my decision on whether to recommend or utilize their services again in the future. Please respond promptly with a proposed resolution for having the lock repaired or replaced. A 10 week period of complete unresponsiveness is unacceptable for an issue impacting the basic security and functionality of my home's entrance.

Deposit lost Signed…read morea contract for a conservatory in December and paid a £2900 deposit. We were advised no planning permission was required. Following a survey it was discovered planning was needed and we were asked to pay another £500 for planning costs. The planning application came back in March with conditions attached. We didn't like the changes enforced as this wasn't what we agreed to when signing the contract so asked to cancel the contract. We were told we are only entitled to a £565.60 refund as the company have incurred sales, marketing and administration costs. We have lost £2834.40 through no fault of our own. We cannot have the specification we paid for and we cannot get our deposit back either. No materials have been ordered and we paid extra for the planning application. Had we have know this was the risk we were entering into when signing the contract we would never have paid over our deposit.

When the windows arrived there were 3 incorrect sizes, no glass for my Son's bedroom window (which wasn't bought to light until after the window was fitted) 2 lots of privacy glass missing and no front & rear doors. Despite numerous calls, texts & emails to Brian the work remains unfinished. He blames everyone else for the probems & does not take responsibility. He has done NOTHING to remedy any of the issues instead comes up with lies & excuses. We eventually had to call out a glass installer ourselves & pay for the glass in my Sons room as the window was open to the elements - they had only put a piece of board up which was a good few inches too small either side which offered no protection to the elements at all. It has become clear that he NEVER had any intention of providing the doors as not once did he measure for them. We have had nothing but excuses after excuses and lies after lies whenever we have been able to contact him. - which has been very rarely as he refuses to answer calls. He's arranged appointments for the fitters to come & continue the work which I've taken days off work for but no one has shown & not once has he rang to cancel any of them or rang to explain why they haven't shown up, it's always been me that has had to chase him which isn't easy when he won't answer or return calls. We are left with a half finished job & a house that looks a mess. What should have been straight forward home improvements has turned into a nightmare. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! ***BRIAN ALSO OPERATES AS TIPTON WINDOWS AND CONSERVATORIES LIMITED so please be careful you don't end up with the same problems as we have!***

After xmas the one bay was repaired which took seven hours to put right. Six weeks later the tiles were eventually repaired. We have been waiting 8 weeks and they have failed to turn up on 7 promised visits, for the other front bay to still be smartened up. Handles on the front bays do not match and they have failed to replace, resulting in my husband buying and replacing himself separately. No one in charge has even been to see what needs doing even after photos of the mess that was left. Have requested several times for Nathan Beddows to get in touch and even sent him a letter, still nothing! Customer service is non existent! In hindsight we should not have payed in full, then maybe the job would have been completed to our satisfaction? Cannot see how a 10 year guarantee will work when they can't even come weeks after doing job. Would not recommend to anyone.
