Apparently he gave up on the painting of the tiles because it was too thin. He didn't know where to go for better paint, yet I found it straight away. He would say I will be with you by 10 , this happened first 2 days , then after that missed 2 days , one day per week . Then general turn up at 11 /12 Stay for 3 maybe 4 hours, always some excuse to leave. He told so many lies as to why he needed the money. Early , wife ill, yet she came and helped him. To put up the last strip of wall paper upside down. He told me wall paper not a problem, then he kept saying I always, go round my work with you to sort out snagging, issues, obviously he didn't he vanished, within 2 days he closed 2 website he was advertising on , blocked me on everything. I managed to try and get a quote via a friend with him. And he said he was changing numbers so email only . Don't ever let him contact through WhatsApp , because once, he's taken your money with his sob stories, he will block you. He's a liar. I have every message, WhatsApp, and screenshot, the lies he told me when I pretended, I wanted a quote. I said who I was, he tripped himself up. I have pictures of the work he said he had done and never did. I notified police, trading standards, every website he was on. Now I am going to small claims. My son didn't have a bed , because we was getting him room decorated , then new flooring then new bed , he knew this a my son has had to wait 4 weeks instead of one. He is a wolf in sheep clothing, please don't let this cowboy near any of your family or friends

Her quotes are detailed and painstaking, it is clear she is a real and highly trained professional who is concerned with using the best, most suitable preparation and decorating techniques from a broad and rich repetoire of skills. Her approach is focused and very hard working, she turns up on time and spends as much time as she needs to to do a proper job. She has a lovely, unassuming, polite, warm, kind manner and is a pleasure to have in the house. She respects ones property and leaves no mess. I would say the words high quality, trustworthy, talented, specialist, helpful and outstanding sum her up. I had had a very bad experience with a previous decorator who was a real cowboy yet charged more or less the same as Kate. Kate demonstrated to me that there are supremely well trained, caring decorators who do their very best (and that best is exceptional) for their customers. Extremely pleased. I highly recommend her.

I can't comment on workmanship (as we didn't get that far), however my experience with Jarraf paint…read morewas appalling. I contacted Simon about restoration of our Minton tile hallway, and initially the response was positive, he gave what seems to be helpful advice, and confirmed he's be able to come take a look but managed our expectations that he was busy with other projects in the immediate future; all ok with us, not a time sensitive job. However, over the following weeks he became non committal about certain aspects, changing dates, and not being particularly straightforward. Eventually, we had a date where he was supposed to come to do a site inspection; the day before I checked in to make sure all was ok for this and didn't get a response. As I'd taken the day off work to facilitate the meeting, I had to just go with it; followed up in the morning with another messaged, begging for confirmation and also asking for clarity as it seemed like he wasn't interested in the work and if that was the case please could he just say so. eventually got a response saying he wasn't coming and that, no he didn't really as he 'couldn't find the motivation for a few days work' and that his 'time is extremely limited'. All totally understandable, but something that could have been said from the off before I wasted my time and annual leave on this company. If you aren't able to offer him weeks of work, or are a residential customer (as opposed to a bigger business) I absolutely wouldn't waste your time; just not interested, counter to what their (very good!) website might lead you to believe. No respect for other people's time, and in my opinion a total lack of professionalism. I found the way my time was water to be rude and hurtful.
