I definitely enjoyed my experience here and would recommend it. Since I came on a Sunday it wasn't too busy so we got really good service. The ambience was great and I loved the decor. There were amazing chandeliers hanging from the ceiling! Stunning! For dinner I had the Ribollita soup and the puttanesca pasta! Both were awesome. I wasn't sure what to expect with the puttanesca but it was great. I also was able to try the arancini which was awesome. We got a bottle of wine too. Then we tried the ice bar, they let you take shots out of ice and then you get to smash the ice at the end. It's all vodka though so not for the faint of heart! I had one shot and that was definitely enough. I did enjoy the smashing. Dinner was great! It was expensive though. $180 for that little experience. read more

Beautiful view of the Fernie ski hill, comfortable couches by the two fireplaces. The ribelleto soup was delicious. Go with that. The Caesar salad was weird. Wayyyy too many anchovies for my taste, crispy pancetta bacon and a soft boiled egg atop lettuce that had mayo pasted on it. Not really a Caesar salad. The worst tiramisu ever. This should be removed from the menu at once. It consisted of freeze dried lady fingers and mascarpone cream mixed with chocolate liqueur accompanied with another freeze dried lady finger on the side. I should have sent it back or complained to have it removed from the bill. The servers were friendly and nice. They should offer happy hour food specials in addition to drink specials and rework the dinner menu. The lunch menu offerings were more appealing and varied than dinner. If you go there, go for lunch and elsewhere for dinner. read more

We stayed at the Lizard Creek Lodge which I highly recommend. Cirque is in the lodge. It has a great bar and the atmosphere is lovely. The food is ok. The tomatoes for the beet salad were not fresh. The chicken parmigiana was good but my husband ordered the fish and it did not look good. But he did choke it down not one to waste food. Nonetheless, I would recommend it for the convenience and the view. read more

Went for happy hr drinks after some sunny laps on the hill. Service was terrible got one drink in an hr and a half. Waited 25 min for the waitress to fix the bill. They need to get it together. read more

The mains were well presented and tasty, especially the elk rib eye. The service was haphazard and 2 of our 3 desserts were pretty poor. The berry crumble was a frozen berry soup that couldn't be finished and the cheese plate was very small for a large with limited cheeses. The chocolate cake was quite good. read more

The Lizard Creek Lodge now has an incredible renovated restaurant call The Cirque. We found the menu somewhat limited as it did not have fish or chicken. The Cesar Salad was Kale. Not sure why they would use kale instead of romain. We ordered a steak and the specialty hamburger. Both were very well plated. I ordered my steak "rare". I was delighted to find that it was cooked correctly. The service staff were all excellent. I would recommend the Cirque. But remember that it is located in a 4.5 star hotel and the prices reflect that. IMO everything about the Cirque lives up to the 4.5 star rating. read more

Nice view. Music very loud and not appropriate for a dinner setting. Presentation of food was stunning. Burger had to be cooked well done, but fries were crisp. Halibut was cooked well, but risotto was more of a soup than a risotto. Goat cheese made it taste disgusting. Not worth money that we payed for. read more

Giving Cirque a four star solely on the staff along. They are great to deal with and accommodating. For a higher end resort the food selection was pretty sub par. It was good but feel that there should be a few more items to select from. Small menu. read more

5 starts for ambiance AND 5 stars for food. Two stunning wood burning fireplaces. The smell, warmth and sounds were enough to bring me back without even having eaten yet. The restaurant was busy with people sitting by the fireplace on couches having a drink, a few tables of diners, and skiers just having come off the slopes to have a drink at the bar. Despite the busyness and the enjoyable music playing overhead, it was never "Loud"... From across the room you could watch the excited people coming and going into the ICE Bar and could see inside through glass windows. We did not go in, but it certainly looked beautiful with the lights transitioning from colour to colour while the ceiling twinkled with a million little lights. The ambiance was just perfect. One of our diners has Celiac Disease and thankfully, one of the Chefs in the kitchen is very knowledgable and went above and beyond to accommodate. The food served was piping hot, fresh and just amazingly good. Even one of our picky eaters was in love with the prime rib with "chocolate" glaze. Our waiter was spot on and didn't miss a beat and super friendly. I would not hesitate to go back here ...Even if it is just to sit by the fire for a drink. read more

Awesome restaurant with great service. The meal was delicious, I had the elk rib eye, which was a new experience. The ambiance is great with high ceilings, a huge fireplace and massive windows overlooking the ski hill. An added bonus was the Ice Bar (vodka tasting). I discovered the "Van Gogh Espresso" vodka which was incredible. Very good overall experience. read more
