The waiter,was great!! But that's where it stopped. I honestly could have done better with a TV Dinner. Thankfully no gastrointestinal issues, but I had the Chicken Parm., and the Sauce was watery and bland.. The Mozzarella sticks contained sme type of Mozz. This place is an Italian restaurant. They had a freshly baked bread and a caesar salad ready for me while I wait for my main dish, I really loved it because I was famished. I had their signature dish which is Hells Kitchen chicken. The food was really good, it had potatoes, broccoli ,bell peppers , carrots,cucumber , shredded cheese chicken breast which was cooked perfectly. There is good reception here, the waitresses and waiters are very friendly, they work with a positive attitude. Therestaurant is super tidy. We were hungry for Italian food and decided to give this place a try. We were so glad we did!!! We owned a pizza franchise in the States for ten years so we're kind of pizza snobs. We ordered a small pepperoni and sausage pizza that came with their wonderful bread and unlimited salad. I ordered the tomato soup and it was delicious!!! The bread was scrumptious. Our server wanted to bring us more but we had to limit ourselves. Everything was so good!!!! It was a perfect date night. A family friendly dining experience, with indoor and outdoor seating, as well as pub dining. Attention to cleanliness, and all service waiters were wearing masks during covid. Good soup, more broth than veggies or protein. Got a seafood linguine with Alfredo, which was okay however had very little sauce so it was a bit dry. Good on seafood protein serving though. Honestly I had low expectations coming in but the service was so fantastic from the start that I would be doing them a disservice to give any less than five stars; and I'd give it a six if it was allowed! The pastas were creamy, filling, and very generously priced. I was very happy to find that on top of the order bread and a choice of garden or Caesar (or both) salads. Last night, I went to East Side Mario's in Cranbrook with my hockey teammates, the coaches and our parents.To start it off I'm going to say that we didn't have to walk that much to get to the restaurant Which helped a lot.The restaurant waiters were very nice and made us feel welcome by having the banquet room ready for us. They had bread and caesar salad ready for us almost immediately and that was good because I was hungry. It also kept the 12 year olds preoccupied. I ordered a full size pizza with pepperoni and ham. It was tasty. They put exactly the right amount of cheese on it and the crust was cooked perfectly. The meals were preordered by jersey number and the restaurant allowed the team manager help serve the food. It sped up the process considerably. I recommend this location in Cranbrook to everybody and really hope to go there again. read more

Great dinner. I had the steak sandwich and it was really tasty. There are creative drinks for the kids, one of which involves a cotton candy topping. Service was great. The kids meals include a dessert (gellato or a brownie) both of which were big hits. Dinner for four (2 adults and 2 kids) came to $68, so it's a little pricier, but it's worth it. read more

I should have taken pictures. Mushroom caps were lukewarm. Had to sent back for more heat. Came back just OK. Salad came in the meantime, that was the best part of the meal. But I wanted the appy first so it screwed up the order. Ordered the veal parm, don't. The meat was doughy on the outside and wasn't sure if it was cooked enough. Not a good chew. I asked and the server said it was right. I don't think so but was hungry and I already sent one thing back. Veal parm should have a bit of crunch to it. This had zero. It also arrived much quicker than expected so.......cook time?? Pasta side was OK. I probably won't go back. Olive Garden is much better. They also forgot my item ordered to go. Had to wait for that. Service was just OK. No wonder theses places are closing everywhere. Follow up next day. Stomach issues. Didn't even attempt the take out order. Yuk. read more

Having eaten there a handful of times, this restaurant has a unique charm about it. One of my favorite features is the unlimited Cesar salad and bread you get when you order certain foods on the menu. The food is quite nice, the portions are reasonable and not overly expensive for the quality if you factor in the salad and breads. This provides one with the sensation of multiple course meals usually found in Europe. the service is quite excellent as well, the owner has come up and asked us how our meal was, this is a bonus in my eyes as it permits one to voice their opinions directly to the boss as opposed to a waiter, where the message can be altered. The decor is of an Italian chain restaurant but it is quite chic! the drinks are amazing, particularly a favorite of my girlfriend's, the cotton candy martini. I will most definitely return to this location as the staff is more than accommodating of the 3 children we brought, and were more than helpful and understanding with their behaviors and personalities. read more

I'll round up and give them 3 stars cuz I can't give 2.5 stars. Food was ok but the service was less than attentive. My friend and i had questions about menu and when we ask, we felt like our server was being kinda short and annoyed that we had to ask about menu items. I cannot eat cheese so I just wanted to make sure that what I ordered didn't have cheese etc. We we're ready to order a few times when our server was at the table answering questions but would walk away right away when I wanted to order. I think she was more concerned about finishing her shift as we came at a bad time between 4pm and 5pm during a shift change over. We finally placed our order and waited, waited waited for bread. We saw other tables with attentive service from other servers that were getting bread to their customers fast. We eventually got bread! The calamari was sad and pathetic. Just deep fried rings of squid served with salsa and tartar. No parsley, no red onions, no lemon wedges, no garnish, no nothing! Pasta dishes were alright tho. Note to self, don't go there during a shift changeover unless you want to be ignored. read more

Spent almost 30 bucks on a takeaway pizza. When we opened the box we were shocked at the puny size, mediocre crust, and sparse toppings. For the price we spent it was the most thoroughly underwhelming pizza we have ever had. read more

This restaurant makes one poor attempt at serving Italian dishes although you would think the opposite, what with all the Italian memorabilia and pictures of Italian landmarks. The biggest disappointment being that they don't even serve Peroni in bottle or draft in this supposedly Italian inspired restaurant. The food was barely edible from the all cores ceaser salad with little to no dressing. The pasta was a disgrace to the Italians. My lasagna was nothing like a traditional lasagna it was burnt and over cooked and tiny for $16 it looked nothing like the pictures that were supplied by the management here on yelp. My miss's and daughter had the spaghetti bolognese and it was hardly that. The noddles when not drained well and a large puddle of water formed under the pasta completely diluted the sauce which was average at best. When we confronted are waitress about the poor food quality she had to call the manager on the phone to inform him of the problem. Interesting a manager that is not present no wonder the staff didn't care, they weren't being supervised and the quality not controlled. They discounted some of the pasta, we got the bill and ran we advise you to skip this place if pasta, salad and Italian beer are your thing. read more

Very Slow service! Dont give enough sauce on pastas. Have to ask for more to even have pasta covered. Seems that there portion sizes have shrunk. Not like other Eastside Marios. And we have give it quite a few chances. read more

This was hands down the worst pizza that I have ever had. We literally could not tell if there was cheese on it, it had more grease than toppings and the salad and bread were no better. Rotten lettuce in the salad, no parmesan cheese and the dressing was very poor. And to finish all this off, the bread was extremely doughy to the point where I had to have water with every bite just to get it down. Just horrible, I would recommend never ordering pizza there, or for that matter probably anything at all. Maybe the water is good. read more
