Super organized station with a lot of signage and a large information desk if you have a question, like so large it's an office with a stanchioned line. It's a normal looking building and it's pretty clean but the best part are the views, given it's location. We also took a ferry to Manly Beach from this station and it was easy as could be and really organized. All the people we encountered who work here were friendly and knowledgeable.

Our last day in Sydney we got on the train with traveled overhead at the port. Trains came very frequently and were well marked and called over the speakers. It's tough to miss your stop because stations are called well in advance & marked in each car.

Circular Quay is pretty much an international cruise ship port, a tourism hot spot, and a pretty dope spot for pictures of the famous harbour bridge and the sydney opera house. Also, the ferry port is here. In walking distance is the botanical gardens as well. Plenty of food and shops in the area. Walking distance from Sydney's Central Business District area.

Well, considering that this place has been listed in Yelp, and people have written reviews on it (and also considering that I have been here numerous times) I probably should also through in a few thoughts on the place. Honestly, as a railway station is pretty ordinary, nothing really all that flash here, with the exception of the view across the harbour - I have to admit that the view is pretty awesome. The thing about this station though is that when you are sitting on the train you are travelling through the darkness of the city loop and all of a sudden you are hit with sunlight, and this amazing view of the harbour (unless, of course, it is a night, or your sitting on the other side of the train which means that you end up getting close up views of the building). Anyway, if you are making your way around Sydney by public transport you are eventually going to end up here, especially since this is the stop where you get off for the Opera House, the Rocks, and of course the Sydney Harbour Bridge (and we can't forget the ferries). Unfortuantely I am going to have to deduct a point for the crummy sixties architecture.

The station itself is okay, expect for the lack of restrooms, at least as far as I could see. Trains aren't all that frequent either. The Star Light Rail Stop is a station on the Dulwich Hill Line of the Sydney Light Rail. If you are not familiar with The Star, it is a casino located in Pyrmont which is a suburb of Sydney. The light rail station is located underneath the casino and provides easy public transportation access to this entertainment complex. If you are trying to access this station, you need to go inside The Star. There are signs that direct you to the station which is downstairs. Sydney Light Rail runs 24 hours. But from midnight to 6 am, trains run only between Central Station and The Star. It does not continue onto Dulwich Hill. As for the station itself, it is darkly lit. It feels like you are sort of waiting in an underground parking lot. To pay for your fare using your Opal card, there are card readers at this station. Once you get onboard, there is a person that polices the train car to ensure that you have paid your fare by checking your Opal card. This station is pretty close to Sydney Fish Market which is a couple stops away. Though I would recommend getting off at the Wentworth Park stop which is actually closer than the Fish Market stop. If you like to gamble or enjoy the nightlife at The Star, this stop is very convenient as you can use it to reach Central Station and get to walking distance of the Sydney CBD at all hours of the day.

It's got the lot, incredible value, never to be repeated again: views (including water views and Harbour Bridge views), close to transport (yeah, literally, but ferries, f(r)eeway and buses are also not far away), close to shops (a couple of restaurants and cafes down there), heritage building, lifts built-in, gardens at your (non-existent) door-step. The list goes on. It also has got two bathrooms, an unknown number of rooms (probably more than your average home), but no parking spaces and no swimming pool:( Ok, in terms of real estate value I've lied a bit here. Circular Quay station is equally good (just see my review of it). The best part of this is you get to enjoy this value every time you check in here, and it only(!) costs you the price of a CityRail ticket. The interesting thing with the transport hub 'Milsons Point station' is that you won't even really notice it's there. Once you step out of the station building, which on its ground level really is just an arch-way under the extension of our Harbour Bridge, you're either in Kiribilli village, or Bradfield Park. From either side, it's just a stone's throw to the harbour. One last breath of harbour air. Breath-in...aaaahh fresh air: "Please stand clear. Doors closing." Oi, bummer.
