Yep, it's a train station, and not all that flashy either, but for convenience it is second to none. For instance, if you have just walked across the Harbour Bridge it is there, and you can catch the train back (unless you want to go on a return trek that is). If you want some awesome views of the harbour and the city, well you don't even have to leave the station, you can just stand there are get a pretty good glimpse. Want to do a bit of train spotting? Well you can do that here as well, especially since you get to see the trains come off the harbour bridge. The trains are actually pretty frequent as well, so you can step off, wander around, and get back on the next one. Oh, there is also a park, a couple of pubs, and some coffee shops and restaurants all within a very short walk of the station. While it may seem like just another railway station, it is the disembarkation point for many of the wanders of Sydney harbour.
