Holy cow! We stopped by here to pick up a pizza while we were bar hopping. Maybe it was the alcohol but oh man- this pizza was so freaking delicious! My mouth is watering as I am writing this review. We got the pepperoni pizza and it was so simple yet flavorful! The light cheese paired with the crunchy pepperoni and ribbons of basil were a match made in heaven. The crust was nice and crunchy and was not too floppy. I personally don't like traditional thin crust nor too dense but this was perfect in between both while maintaining the chewy texture. I even ate the crust which I don't normally eat. We did order online so I am not sure about wait time if you were to order at the window. I am also unsure if they have an indoor spot but I do recall there were a couple of tables right outside the pick up window.

Different Cheesesteak #1227. I got a cheesesteak with fried onions. I enjoyed the last minute of my video. Looking at the pictures, a few things jump out at me. I was watching the video, waiting for me to say one thing, and then I said another. Nice place with very friendly people. The cheesesteak was very good. It deserves a better roll. This roll was bready and had a soft crust. A lot of cheese and very good melt. The cheese touched everything. I am happy to report that the cheese did NOT cover the meat flavor. It is a thicker slice of meat. I could taste it through all of the cheese. The fried onions added flavor. $15 in Philly!?!? Awesomeness!!

Friendly young lady at order window. There is only outdoor seating at park benches or a stainless steel bar-top. It was 30F so I ate in my rental suv. My order was promised in 5 minutes but I ran an errand and gave them 10 minutes. It was ready when I returned. The cheesesteak was delicious. I've never had one with Cooper Sharp Cheese and it was incredible. Apparently that's the only cheese option. Come check them out. Enjoy!!!

Cheesesteak, definitely one of the best steaks I've had, packed with meat and cheese, look at that seeded roll!

Heard about this place online and it delivered, I ordered the upside down pie, white Sicilian, wings, chicken cheese steak and cheese steak. I was raised near New York and been craving pizza like that and they satisfied my craving, all the food was hot and fresh, they got some benches to sit and eat outside and it's fairly quiet around there, the service was super good and the people taking the orders were super nice, cant wait to go back.

    Buffalo Chicken Pizza

Tried the buffalo chicken pizza from here not too long ago. Definitely a good pizza, its more Detroit style than a traditional pie (square, really crispy edges and undercarriage). Pretty expensive for the size, otherwise overall a solid pizza. Will have to come back for the cheesesteak.

Came here with 4 friends after hearing great things and we were not disappointed! We were pretty hungry so we ordered 5 pizzas, but ended up having about 4 slices leftover. We liked the cheese and buffalo chicken the best, but I don't think the buffalo chicken is offered all the time. The focaccia base for the square pie was nice and chewy. The sauce in the cheese pizza was fresh. Thought the white pie was a bit bland. They do accept card. Also they don't have a phone number to call, and I needed to reach them because we were arriving late to the restaurant and wanted to delay our order. I DM'ed them on Instagram and they responded in minutes and said they'd happily delay our order, so I could not speak more highly of their service. There are a few clean tables outside to eat at and it's in a pleasant neighborhood. Will be recommending this to friends.

My journey to find the best pizza in Philly continues. I only got a circle, planning to try a square next. This pizza had the best crust so far, crispiness is perfect when you hold the pizza up, does not flop over so it makes it easy to eat. Undercarriage and crust cooked perfectly with a slight char but no burnt taste. Cheese is flavorful and nicely flavored, no excess grease on the circle pie. Only thing is I like a little more tomato sauce on the pie but I am just nitpicking. I have no problems placing this pizza top 5 in the city so far.

Finally got to try them. COVID was really hard for ordering here but it seems back to normal. Takeout only it seems they don't have dining space. Order by phone or I believe they use a delivery service. Takes 20-35mins for pizza. I had their round pizza with pepperoni and sausage. Overall this is a very good American style pizza. Up there with Angelo's as best in city for this style of pizza. I enjoyed the pepperoni more than their sausage. Would come again!

We use the One Bite app to find places with a score of 8 or higher and I'm so glad we picked this spot today. Placed an order online right at 4:00 and it was ready in 20 mins. My husband and I slammed down slices of a round and square right in the car. The owner (assume he was the owner) was running an order out to another customer and saw us and so politely tried to give us plates and napkins but we were already done! Thank you Both pizzas were so damn good. So much flavor, so fresh. I think I slightly liked the square more just because the sauce was a little garlicky .. and the crust omg. Wish we lived closer, we'd be ordering from here weekly.

How it took me until this past Saturday to try Circles + Squares is beyond me, but I suppose it speaks to what a deep range of high-end pizza places Fishtown and its surrounding neighborhoods (Port Richmond & Kensington) can lay claim to these days that a place this good could have slid under my radar for so long. Thankfully, that's now a thing of the past and I can start making up for lost time. I've had three of their menu items - their fries, a cheesesteak with fried onions and pickled hot peppers, and their Cheese pizza in square-pie form. The fries were my kind of fries - flavorfully battered and crisp on the outside but ample and billowy within. The cheesesteak was served with Cooper sharp and on a quality seeded bun; it would have been excellent if I'd had it witout, but adding the fried onions and, particularly, the pickled peppers, was a good call, too. The heat level was perfect for it - not overbearing, but consistently present, contributing perfectly to the overall taste. But the pie was made the place exceptional and earned it that fifth star. The square pizza is basically everything you're nostalgic about from pizza hut pan pizzas, at least assuming you're of a certain age and participated in their book club to earn free pan personal pan pizzas al through childhood, but all grown up into an adult-pallet-friendly incarnation. The sauce stood out as a highlight, as did the perfectly crisped outer edges that lined the soft, raised center. It was easily one of the best pan/deep dish pizzas I've ever had, easily on par with the best I've had in Chicago (though I know this is more Detroit style, a city I have not as yet been to). As of this writing, C + S is a small, minimal operation - hours of operation are limited, the menu isn't huge by any means (though there's still a good few things I want to try), and they don't have drinks, so they send you to the corner store down the street. The employee who I assume was also one of the owners seemed to be reconsidering the drink situation the day I was there, as every person who came up to order or pick up while we waited for our stuff to come out asked about drinks.

No walk-ins for circles and sqaures at this time.

What time should i get there on friday night and what time can i expect to walk out with 2 pizzas? T.I.A!

At the latest 4:30pm. Depending on how many people are in front of you, probably around 6pm.

So because there isn't much seating inside or outside, where are people eating that don't live in the city or have a house to go to? Any bring your own food places around?

You can go to Philadelphia brewing company. They don't serve food there and are always fine if you bring in your own food and grab a beer there.

    What are his hours?

He opens at 5pm on Wednesday-Saturday and closes whenever he sells out. I believe he usually does 150 ish pies a night. It is also cash only.

    Inside seating or just outside?

Few inside stools (maybe 4) . Few tables outside. I wouldn't bank On inside space.

Is the square pizza Detroit Style? i've been looking for detroit style in philly for a long time.

    Yes it is!

While I might choose another place for takeout, when the goal is a night of pizza, wine, great atmosphere, and authentic neighborhood vibes, this is usually where we end up. The space is bright, industrial, airy, and thoughtfully designed but unforced. White walls, warm wood, considered lighting, and a floor plan with real breathing room--rare in New York. The vibe recalls Bucktown, Wicker Park, Williamsburg, and Greenpoint: design-forward but genuinely local. There's a great bar, and booths near the kitchen with glass windows that let you watch the staff. Our three-year-old was mesmerized, and the staff was warm and playful, smiling and waving while they cooked. A small detail, but memorable. The crowd feels local. Good music, friendly people, hip but never pretentious. It's just a fun place to be with great service, too. The food is outstanding. We usually order the chicories caesar with grana padano and breadcrumbs, and the lettuce salad with shaved vegetables and creamy oregano dressing. For pizza, we love the arrabbiata (the Angry pie) and tomato pie with sausage and pickled chilies. My wife enjoys the ice cream. A note on bringing kids: I don't think this is a family restaurant, but if your kids are curious and well-behaved, it's absolutely worth bringing them earlier in the evening. We've gone around 4:30 or 5:00 on weekends and always felt comfortable. One time, our daughter had a full meltdown, and we were mortified, but the staff couldn't have been cooler. They packed everything to go, kindly and without any judgment. That kind of grace is hard to fake, and it genuinely stuck with us. Pricing is fair for the quality of the food and the experience. Places like this can seem overrated or overpriced, but this one doesn't. It offers real value for a memorable night out. The whole restaurant feels like a microcosm of Philadelphia's progressive, creative side. There's real ambition behind it, but it still feels human and grounded, nothing sterile, nothing corporate, nothing over-engineered. Just smart people building a cool neighborhood place that others actually want to spend time in. Oh, and make a reservation. Great spot, Joe. We'll be back soon. Thank you!

I love that the menu is on the shorter side and they rotate the pizza offerings, so even if you're visiting on a regular basis, you'll always be able to try something new. Additionally, when a menu is only about 2 pages, you know everything on those two pages is top notch, as was the case at Pizzeria Beddia. This evening we got the meatballs (didn't take a photo, was too excited, but they were HUGE and excellent) and the beef, pork and veal balls with a rich red sauce was outstanding. Came in an order of 2 but one was plenty for each of us. The Pizza we got had potatoes on it, and we added sausage per the servers recommendation, and it was cooked perfectly and all of the flavors blended so well together. The White Claw is a pretty classic white pizza, mozzarella and swirls of basil pesto; the crust is amazing! It pairs perfectly with the salad. The ricotta toast is decadent and addicting, but a little bit goes a long way. The chocolate budino was outstanding - sweet, with hints of espresso. The polite smile that says "it's fine" while the eyes say "it is absolutely not." Totally understandable. No one loves a near-close order. I even acknowledged it out loud--apologized, explained we weren't from the area, and that we were just trying to grab a quick bite because it was one of the few places still open. She said it was okay. Her face said otherwise. Fair enough. Here's where it turned around. The pizza came out hot, fresh, and legitimately impressive. Not "good for late night" good--just plain good. Every bite was fresh, the ingredients tasted clean, and the pizza clearly hadn't been rushed or phoned in despite the timing. Hunger probably helped, but even factoring that out, this was a standout. Honestly, I was kicking myself for not ordering an extra one to go before leaving the city. That's how good it was. We did try to get drinks, but were told the soda machine was down. The nozzles were off, so I'm guessing it was a cleaning/end-of-night thing. I won't ding them for it--though let's be real, tossing nozzles in sanitizer isn't exactly a marathon. Still, not a deal-breaker. Restaurant was clean, but of course, they were near closing. I tipped her a few bucks for staying late, and left genuinely satisfied. Fortunately, I got booked on a flight out the next morning and found a hotel in the city. Other than running to a drug store, my only other time leaving my hotel was to grab dinner at Pizzeria Vetri across the street. I enjoyed the food, the service, and the ambiance. I was immediately seated upon arriving to Pizzeria Vetri. I was asked if I wanted to sit at the bar, at a table, or at the pizza counter. I chose the pizza counter so that I could watch staff making pizzas. As I was there on my own, the serving staff continued to stop by and check on me. The menu includes neopolitan pizzas (12" feeding 1-2 people) and metro pizzas (28" feeding 3-4 people). They make pizzas, calzones, antipasti, and salads. I chose a Neapolitan-style pepperoni pizza consisting of pepperoni, tomato sauce, mozzarella, and fresh oregano. It was quite filling and absolutely delicious! They also sell pizza kits so that you can make your own pizza at home. Pizzeria Vetri was created to celebrate the art of authentic pizza making. They aimed to create simple food made exactly the right way using the best and freshest ingredients served in a space where all are welcome. You can visit the Pizzeria Vetri website (https://www.pizzeriavetri.com) to order online, see menus, details about all four locations as well as to learn about classes, hosting events, and catering options. You can sign up for PV Perks at https://www.pizzeriavetri.com/pv-perks. You earn 25 points for signing up and one point for every dollar spent. You receive a $5 discount for every 50 points redeemed. They also have Happy Hour specials. I certainly enjoyed the experience and would go back again iid in the area.

They have an open kitchen so you can see pizzas being made in front of you. A little pricey but the sourdough pizzas are delicious. Loved the dough. They have a nice salad menu as well. We tried the butternut squash salad and it was pretty good. Definitely recommend.
