I am a first time customer and I ordered a meal to go. I ordered a Combo Platter of 1/2 chicken & pulled pork, and a Appetizer of smoked sausage. Upon returning home I started my meal. The pulled pork was very dry and had little flavor unless drenched with barbeque sauce. The chicken appeared to have a dry rub and also dry and flavorless. I'll start by saying the staff seems friendly enough. I first ordered hush puppies because my self and my (8) son like them. The hush puppies are straight out of a bag, not handmade. Don't waste your money. I then ordered Beef Brisket sandwich(REG) and potato salad. The brisket in my opinion was from yesterday and dry no seasoning no flavor at all. The sauce on the table is bland at best and straight from the store. My son loves cheese burgers so i ordered a "STEAK BURGER" $8.50 + $1.00 for cheese plus french fries $2.19, total $11.69. The burger was smaller then one you get at MC Donald's for a fraction of the price. The bun was twice as big as the meat. I felt totally ripped off. You would figure a place that charges that amount would have a decent burger, NOPE. My son took a bite and refused to eat the burger which after I took a bite tasted like liquid smoke not flamed broiled and was extremely dry and lacked no seasoning at all and thin(think burger from a plastic bag at Sam's thin and lack luster). The other meal my husband ordered was just OK. I will not be going back. They are way over priced for what you get, Sonny's is better food and price. Not to mention when you pull up to a BBQ joint you should smell the smokers doing their job, NOPE should have been my first glue. Love the food here, the portions are good and flavors are on point. The hose made bbq sauce is my favorite. Every one was very pleasant and well mannered, they have a great thing going here and I hope that it sticks around. This was our second visit here and both times the food was fantastic!! The sauces are all really delicious too!! We've had the pork sliders, the ribs, the brisket, the wings in both medium and blackened, the sweet potato fries, the mac& cheese, & the green beans. The food came out quick and was awesome!!! We've been here numerous times and have yet to be disappointed. Had the wings, pork rinds, and pork platters this time. Wings we're short on salt/pepper, but still tasted awesome. My first trip here was just OK. On my way home from work one day I decided to stop after passing this by place every day for 6 to 8 months noticing that there never was a tremendous amount of cars in the parking lot at any given time. I picked up a rack of ribs and a container of baked beans. The ribs were not that great. They were par-boiled then grilled for what seemed a limited amount of time without any type of rub that I could discern. If you like your ribs boiled so they fall off the bone instead of slow smoked until they fall off the bone then this is your place. What made me come back was the baked beans. They were seasoned and cooked in such a was as to add some sweetness and an little kick and some good chunks of pork added to complete the recipe. In a word the beans were "awesome". Fast forward to mothers day Friday and on the way home my wife and I decided to get two 32 ounce containers of beans at $11.98 a pop. When we got home the baked beans we received this time were not the baked beans I had received the last time, they were not even close. After a phone call in which we were told in so many words that we were just a little too stupid to know if there was a change or not in the recipe we've decided that we will not come back if even if we were paid. I had made that decision based on the ribs alone from my first trip because if you can't do ribs right the rest of your food is probably a little off too but the baked beans episode sealed the deal for myself, my family and my friends. My husband and I love it! It's not often I get a craving for BBQ so when I do my husband jumps on the offer. We live super close to Circle S so we decided to try it out. I think we've had it 5 times since! I'm normally a once a year kind of person but they just might convert me to a BBQ lover! The smokey mountain sauce on the pulled pork sandwich is the best! Been meaning to stop in here and finally made it-- so glad I did! Came for lunch and am thrilled to have such a high quality option in Hudson. First, they have beautifully renovated a building that has been around a while. I could not believe how nice the decor was and the restaurant is super clean. My husband had the pulled pork and I had the ribs. My husband is something of a BBQ connoisseur and he raved about his sandwich. My ribs were smoky and perfect even without sauce, but you should find at least one of their sauce options to your taste. I had the Mac & cheese and smoky green beans. I enjoyed them both and was pleasantly surprised that the green beans were still bright green (told myself I was eating healthy!). As for price, I am a big believer in paying a little extra for quality and food made with care. Circle S certainly not only meets this criteria, but does so incredibly well. read more

I had high hopes, but I was very disappointed. I LOVE LOVE LOVE barbecue, especially brisket...but this was nothing short of disgusting. Liz at the ordering counter was helpful cheerful and energetic. She is perfect for the position because she had to constantly apologize for complaints hurled at her. The brisket, as an example, was the most fatty brisket I have ever had in my 6 decades on this planet. I have had a LOT of brisket in my life, but this should have been an embarrassment to the chef. Liz repeatedly countered the numerous complaints by stating that they have to buy fatty brisket to keep it tender. OK, fine; if that is true to some extent...cut it off before serving it on a sandwich. Roughly 40 percent of the "meat" on my large brisket sandwich was just plain FAT. Not only did it spoil the sandwich and the entire eating experience, but I had to go through the sandwich with my own hands and shred the fat off of the pile of meat. This made my hands slimy, and it resulted in a horrific pile of inedible fat on the plate. The huge pile roughly equaled the edible meat and made it abundantly clear to me just how little the chef and the management care about customer satisfaction and food quality. Pulled pork was extremely fatty, macaroni and cheese if you want to call it that, had a strange texture, potato salad had a strange taste, maybe ranch? I am not sure but 3 of us completely dissatisfied. Hush puppies small and not fluffy if you want to call it like most of them are. I'd never choose Circle S BBQ again. We had a large group of about 20, the staff was so accommodating for our large group, the service was fantastic. The brisket was so tender and tasty. The pulled pork sandwich was piled high, and delicious. And if you have not had the smoked pie, you are in for a wonderful treat!! Tried Circle S for the first time tonight and it will be our last. Half rack of over seasoned salty ribs without the membrane removed and beef brisket dinner for $23.25! This came with two sides. I chose cole slaw which was maybe 2 tablespoons in a plastic cup,would be better if it was store bought along with baked beans, looked like Campbell's baked beans from a can but mushier with a piece of fatback thrown in., about 2 tablespoons. If I wanted a premium side like seasoned fries it would have been an extra $1.49. Since when have seasoned fries been a premium side? I also had an appetizer of hush puppies. The were actually really good, but they were served with confectioners sugar on them! I've never heard of such a thing. Dinner for 2 with one appetizer and 2 ice teas was almost $70.00. Oh and for that $70.00 you don't get waited on, you order at the counter. You eat with flimsy plastic utensils, and your also expected to clean your table when you're finished. Do yourself a favor and go to Short Stack BBQ Port Richey and you'll leave happy and full every time for a lot less money. read more
