This place is always thronged in the summer and for good reason. Its a local icon and lives up to its rep. Look, all of these shore 'party towns' have strong arguments to recommend them but many consider Avalon the best for summer house rentals and once you're here--well, this pizza place is the most solid, most reliable, most go-to place for casual grub. Absolutely everyone hits it. Delivery orders during the day when you're lounging around on the deck of your rental house and certainly in the evening when you're hitting the bars. Those bars are mostly located just steps away from this place so, see the symbiosis? But the pizza is genuinely friggin awesome. Thin crust; large floppy slices (the way 'New York pizza' is said to be but never is). Inexpensive; free-wheeling atmosphere. Everyone in t-shirts and cut-offs. You just can't beat it. My friend and I had a horrible experience at Circle Pizza. We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza and it took about 30 minutes to get our pizza (mind you there was no one else there). I can overlook the time if the pizza was a)the correct order and b)decent tasting. Our pizza was neither of these things. The pizza was cheese and so we told them and they made a different pizza. This pizza also took 30 minutes. The best part is that they made us pay for the second pizza. THE PIZZA THEY ORIGINALLY GOT WRONG. The manager was super unfriendly in telling us we'd have to pay for the cheese pizza, telling us it was our fault (it wasn't). I wasted $40 and an hour of my life at this place. I should also mention that the pizza tasted like shit. If you are craving pizza I promise this is not pizza and is not good. Do not try this place. I honestly never leave reviews but I have cultivated a special hatred for this place. I wouldn't have even been annoyed enough to write a review if they hadn't made me pay for their mistake. read more

Order pizza from anywhere but Circle Pizza. They are incapable of executing an order. We ordered two pizzas and it took over 90 minutes for them to execute bland cardboard tasting plates of cheese. Go to Nemos or buy frozen pizza. read more

I have been going to Avalon my entire life and the food has never failed to impress me. However the staffing is extremely rude. Sue, the manager of Beach burger and Circle Pizza, has made several inappropriate and rude remarks to customers. For example she argued with me about eating french fries from a different restaurant because she didn't know that I couldn't eat at Circle, Pizza's fries because I was gluten-free. She threatened to kick me out while my friend was eating one of their slices of pizza. The other day my friend ordered french fries from Circle, Pizza and the order and never was delivered to our table. We went in to see what was wrong and why our fries were not coming out and they said it was because someone else had taken the order. So therefore they were not going to give us our fries even after we paid for them because someone else stole our fries. And most recently, I specifically ordered a gluten-free pizza from Circle, Pizza. The order was delivered I am gluten-free and when I eat gluten I throw up and become extremely ill. I ate the so-called gluten-free pizza but after discovered that the pizza that was so called gluten free, was actually normal crossed. Which caused me to become extremely ill. Overall I feel that Circle, Pizza has good potential but their management and attention for details is very upsetting and very degrading to the customers. read more

The service at Circle Pizza is awful. The employees have zero interest in assisting customers. You have to get their attention and basically beg them to take your order. Tonight, 4 employees were standing around while customers waited. No one took the initiative to assist anyone. We finally asked someone to take our order, and he tried to think of excuses why he couldn't. The pizza was fine, but not worth the way you are treated. I am a local here in Avalon and I used to go to circle all the time to get their buffalo chicken pizza, it was amazing! Just went recently for the first time in awhile and it was soo horrible! The pizza tastes like a cardboard box. When you order a slice they don't even heat it back up so it tastes stale and cold-when asked to warm it up they look at you like u have 5 heads. I know it is just a pizza shop but the service was atrocious. The girls were so dumb and rude. Maybe they are used to dealing with drunk ppl all the time but all 6 of us were sober and thought the pizza was disgusting. I guess they changed the quality of their pizza since they get most of their business at night when ppl leave the bar so they forget or don't realize how the pizza tastes. Good luck circle, you lost my business forever and I will certainly let all my local and shoobie friends know. read more

I always will go out of my way to make it to Circle pizza. Not only is the pizza great but all the food on the menu is the same. The line sometimes can be long but it's well worth the wait. I only wish that they opened up a place in Cherry Hill. :) read more

We have been going to circle for several years, we have not been in the area in awhile and drove out of the way to go there, we were so excited to go. The service was terrible, a bunch of kids who could care less, slices were cold, they didn't even bother to heat them up and every counter in the establishment was dirty and covered with sticky residue. The place was basically empty and it was fairly early in the day so I wouldn't be surprised if the counters were dirty from the night before. I would not recommend anyone to go to this place. It's very unfortunate because it used to be so good. read more

Truly disappointing. Went to a few pizza websites and kids decided on a $26 weekday special from Circle. Upon arrival (an empty 8pm tuesday nite) we were told the "website is old" and they would not honor the special on the website by the manager on duty. After giving them another opportunity to earn our business by asking him if there was anything else he could do, he said no and turned his back to us and our two kids. Very disappointed with this entire place. Me and a few buddies of mine came in to grab dinner. We ordered a couple of pies and sodas. The pizza was delivered to us, looking like it was sitting out for hours - (cheese looked fake and it was cold). Our sodas came with no ice and were warm! I asked our unfriendly waitress for ice. I see her pass our table and help others and never brought ice! I finally got her attention and she said the ice machine was broken - strange other tables had ice ... ! Yummy. Pizza is good. Easy to get to. I love to stop in right from the beach, just a short walk.
