Ambiance: Sole continues to offer an ambiance that you won't find elsewhere in SIC. It's a cool BYOB. Service: Waitress (and runners) was great, very friendly and knowledgeable. Both appetizers and entrees took a long time to come out. A couple of folks at my party mentioned they weren't all that hungry once the entrees came, but no worries, a good bit of take-home. Food: Artichokes - a long-standing menu item here at Sole; however, the execution seems to have changed dramatically (see my previous review for the old pic). The dish is now somewhat heavy and soggy and lacked what we came to love about the dish. It used to be light, crispy, fresh, and the sauce was light but very flavorful. Ok, but not exceptional like before. Oysters Rockefeller: $23 special These were pretty good, but not really a true rockefeller due to longhots. Always love a good oyster, but between price and execution, prob wouldn't get this one again. Appreciate branching out though. Steamed Clams (white): Good clams and great sauce although the clams were not cleaned /soaked/brushed well at all as there was a lot of black grit in the bowl, it changes the bright, clean taste to a cloudy flavor. Wild Boar Veal Pappardelle: Excellent pasta, however, aside from one small chunk of veal, the dish was largely ground meat and not all that much. It came out piping hot although the overall depth of flavor was lacking. (The white lamb dish outshines this special by far) Crab gnocchi: Excellent gnocchi. Unfortunately, the crab was fishy and the dish overall was very salty versus the sweet lump crabmeat flavor that makes a dish like this shine. We really like Sole and the owner usually comes over to the table to ask for feedback, but didn't do so on this night. We'll be back at some point again (maybe a pizza and wine night) because we really like it here. Hopefully this was just an off night. I know it's hard to run a great restaurant and I love supporting all the great SIC ones - cost/prices are high, but it's also important to execute. (Hopefully, they bring back the old artichokes dish - compare the pic and you'll see.)

I could eat here all day everyday. Actually..... I did two summers ago, and even returning with a more experienced palate, Circle Pizza still reminds me of a home cooked meal. Now I know not most moms were cooking pizza for dinner, but it's the aura that draws you in. I've grown up around this place only to find that the "poor attitudes" people refer to is one sided, the staff here works from dusk to dawn serving children all day then adults at night. Though these are adults, most act like children, stumbling out of the bar at 2, trying to lie their way to a free pizza, then proceeding too throw their trash and uneaten food everywhere except a trashcan. They then follow up by disrespecting all the businesses surrounding by urinating on their buildings and practically causing hazards all over town. Their service is great. Now the food, leaves me drooling. Though it's not located on a boardwalk... it is every piece of the sure you will ever need.... Minus the sand!!! There is a secret to everything and whatever that ingredient may be, keep it unknown because leaving with the happiness in my stomach is much more satisfying, and gratefully memorable then "Fast Food service" read more

I was driving past your business on the left side and one of your delivery driver's almost took my car out. The driver pulled out of his spot so quickly as I was almost right next to him and about to hit the car. Instead of stopping, the driver proceeded to back up and reverse and I broke just in time for him even though I had the right away. He continued to reverse though and I had to reverse with him. The driver obviously didn't look and almost caused an accident. Circle Pizza do better and hire drivers who actually know how to drive. read more

Been eating pizza from Circle for years but it's the first time we had to eat next to a large screen tv broadcasting a presidential campaign rally.
