Oh.... where to begin…read more First of all, I'm writing this review in the hopes that the manager/owner will see it so they know how to improve customer experience. I'm not trying to tear down a little theater. However, my experience was kind of a mess. I bought tickets on Fandango. When we arrived we decided to head straight to the theater for seats. Nobody was checking tickets at all. We walked right in. Because I'm an honest person I had already paid for tickets, but it would literally be the easiest thing to sneak into. (Not that I'm advocating that). We found seats, and the guy next to us said hey the waitresses said there's only 2 of them for all the theaters so if you want popcorn etc it's better to go out to the front and order. So that's what we did. There was a line 4 deep when we got to the ordering line. It was barely moving. The employee said anyone seeing a movie go back to the theater and order from a waitress. Most of the line left. Another person in front of us waited, got fed up, and left. Now we are at the front of the line. And nobody's there. No employees to be seen. I even call out and nobody answers. I finally see the employee and ask him if we can buy popcorn. He says in a minute, he's selling tickets. There's a whole line of people trying to buy tickets and he's the only employee for the snack line and ticket line. I pressed him because we were the only one in the snack line and only wanted popcorn, whereas the ticket line was at least 10+ people. We got the popcorn which somehow was room temperature despite being freshly popped. They also add the butter in with a squirt bottle over top, so there were cold pieces with butter on them and absolutely no butter in the second half of the bowl. While we were waiting, we noticed a gallon of milk out on the counter, a milkshake half prepared, a bunch of customer garbage on the counter next to a cutting board with a half cut lime sitting on it, presumably for someone's mixed drink. All are not recommended practices for safe food handling, if not health code violations. A waitress never came to us in the theater. I did see one, but she never came to anyone in my party - someone stayed behind while we were in line at the bar area and still no option to order in theater. At the end of the movie, no one turned on the lights. We stayed several minutes into the credits and the lights were still dimmed which is a safety hazard. There was a family sitting on the floor because they bought tickets but couldn't get seats. We didn't know what to do with our popcorn bowl at the end of the movie so we left it in the theater since we saw others do the same. It seemed to sum up the night, nothing was really clear, no employees were explaining things, there were not enough employees. We also saw customer trash in a pile on the parking validation desk when we left. Also, they showed several horror movie trailers when the audience was there to see a PG movie. There were several parents/families that were audibly upset that we heard. They were not expecting such graphic/horror trailers as IT 2 to be shown at a PG comedy. Now to end on a positive note: -new seats recline and were comfy -while waiting for snacks I saw a man making pizza, meaning their pizza is freshly made not frozen -the audio was loud but not too loud I wish there was more positives, but honestly I loved the movie and the crowd was great. So I had a good time, but very little of it had to do with the theater itself. But the crowd and movie saved this from being a 1 star review. Also I must note this was a Saturday night, so being this severely understaffed/undertrained is unforgivable. Friday and Saturday are a movies money making days. Someone should've been there to make sure it went well but I never saw any kind of management helping employees or customers.

My daughter was trying to turn around in the seat to continue watching but couldn't see a thing - it was literally pouring ,so we decided to leave . I was surprised to see that many people stayed . Regardless , I called as soon as we left to ask if the $21 could be refunded so we could return another night .The young man who answered was friendly and said he had to ask his supervisor ,whom he put on the phone .I politely asked if we could be refunded to come back . The man was ignorant and stated ," there is no reason for a refund ,the movie is playing ,we play rain or shine " - Well sir , I have worked in customer service for 14 years and I'll tell you , I wouldn't let you run my business . How hard was it to give the refund so we could return to enjoy the movie on a night that wasn't a monsoon ? OR if you are that tight , could you not write us a voucher to come back for ONLY that movie ?‍ It's not hard to make an unsatisfied customer happy ,but you failed miserably .The one thing you did succeed at , was losing three customers who will not return

Everything was the right temperature and tasty. Show and meal cost $35 per adult, very reasonable. The set design was fun! Performances of every character were excellent! The acoustics and the musicians perfectly complemented the show. Mamma Mia and Hello Dolly are upcoming shows. I can't wait!

We had to wait outside the 'Abracadabra' door which was a horrible seating arrangement. It had standing, dirty water everywhere and everyone outside was getting eating alive by gnats and mosquitoes. The host finally came out but never said who she was or even her name. She must have been having an off day because she was not received well. It was awkward. The building itself was someone's home. The downstairs was the showroom and two beyond cluttered 'museum' rooms. The ceiling had severe water damage. The showroom smelled awful. There were gnats overwhelming the bathrooms. In the "prop room" the ceiling was cracked and in need of maintenance. Molding was falling off the walls. There was even garbage, plates and drinks left out from some kind of celebration. At it's prime I'm certain the collection and rooms looked prestigious but years later, no upkeep and cleaning just left it sad. The show started with the magician giving a blurb about herself starting with she was raised by an abusive alcoholic father. You could tell this was more about Dorothy than Houdini. The monologue was done via microphone that was tied around her neck and blared out of a speaker that had a loud, annoying feedback that no one tried to correct. This shifted into an old DVD that's displayed on blurry television. The audio/visual were terrible. At some point they forgot to update the equipment. For the price that you pay for admission, you would feel they would upgrade the devices. We learned about Houdini and the way Dorothy engaged with the audience was just weird and she would giggle when it got creepy, awkward. There also was an old man sitting in the back of the room, just staring at everyone and not talking. You'd think, the person would be introduced but we didn't learn about him until an hour later. The history was painful and it was almost a look but don't touch and listen to me dialogue. Dorothy told the kids not to jump off bridges but they could eat swords. She told another kid that he was going to be locked in a mill crate like Houdini. The cake topper was the child she yelled at for touching something. The child started wailing and rushed to hide behind her mother. A child sneezed in one room and she snarled they better not have given her Covid. I mean her, when there were other people in the room, but really - who says that! Let alone to a child. The long drawn out history finally gave way to another video displayed poorly to the audience while the magician got ready. Before starting the video she asked if any one knew how Houdini died and she said the creepy old man in the back did. He stood up and just shrieked loudly for 20 seconds. Dorothy, creepy guy and another associate found this hilarious. The audience was confused. The video displayed the magician doing escape artist tricks and the jinx bullet trick. Very different from the basic magic that was about to happen. None the less performed to very loud 70's instrumental music. It almost felt like being at a child's birthday. Except we did the same trick over and over. We changed gears but it was basic. The magic was fun but the slight of hand was so obvious it took away the magic. It seemed like the touch was gone. I wouldn't recommend.

I genuinely want to thank the Everheart Museum and specifically their amazing CEO Tim Holmes for…read morethe incredible visit I had to the museum a few months ago. I am a huge fan of "The Office" and when I knew I would be traveling through PA for the first (and likely only) time, I carved out a few days specific to Scranton and "The Office" to live my fangirl dream. I planned the trip months in advance and when I saw that an exhibit on the show would be opening here "soon" it was the first thing on my itinerary and it was by far one of the things I was looking forward to the most. As the trip got closer, I noticed that the opening of the exhibit had been pushed and I got nervous, but I still had time, so I checked everyday until about 3 weeks before I was scheduled to visit, when I saw there was a "Preview Party" held for the exhibit. That made me feel better. Unfortunately, a few days before I arrived, there were still no tickets available for the exhibit. I tried corresponding with someone from the museum via email you wrote "There have been some last minute setbacks that have delayed the exhibit's opening". I was devastated, but if you know me, you know I don't give up and I wasn't NOT going to try, especially for something that would be a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. I arrived at the museum (Dundie in hand) and was greeted by a kind, patient young man. He told me the price of admission and I immediately asked "Does that include 'The Office' exhibit or is that extra?" He told me the same thing I had been told in the email and I asked if any parts of the exhibit were visible or if there was any way I could even just peek for a moment. I explained to him that I would never be there again and he seemed sympathetic so I asked once more if there was anyone there working on the exhibit I could talk to. He ultimately called a gentleman down from upstairs who took me up to a section of the museum with a sign that read "Please excuse the appearance of this gallery while installation is in progress" and asked me to wait there. There was a poster for the exhibit and a giant Dundie outside the door so I took some photos with it while I waited. I had no idea he was the CEO at the time, but a few minutes later a lovely gentleman named Tim came out to speak to me. He told me the exhibit wasn't ready but he would be happy to show me around. I was so excited at the thought of even getting a few moments to peak inside but Tim spent almost AN HOUR with me in the exhibit. He pointed out things to me and discussed and explained everything in detail. It was one of the most enjoyable museum experiences of my life. I was able to see real props and costumes from the show, get a selfie in front of the "confessional" window, learn all about the local events Scranton has and how much the show means to people here as well. I was also able to learn from the curator himself how much goes in to making an exhibit like this and how much can go wrong. I waited a long time to post this review because I just knew this page would be swarmed with star reviews showing the completed exhibit with others raving about their experience but it has been months and I have yet to see a single one. Please know that the photos I am posting are of the unfinished exhibit but they are still fantastic to see. I hope lots of people are coming to view the exhibit and I really hope they show it the love it deserves online. Thank you again to this museum and it's wonderful staff for giving this reviewer and experience she won't ever forget!

Most of the items that were on display, were also up for sale, priced from $50. This event attracted many people. The place was packed. A food presentation was available free of charge to all the attendees. This was a very pleasant affair, well orchestrated. I would assume this gallery leases space to would -be art enthusiasts from time to time throughout the year.

Had a bad experience here last night. The website said music from 10-2 but the band only played…read morefrom 10:30-12. We were not previously informed of this at the door and we payed $10 at the door foe this entertainment. This was completely unacceptable. When I brought my feelings to the attention of management i was told there was nothing they could do. I asked for a $5 refund and was offered a round of drinks instead. I accepted the round but the manger neglected to give me my drink (i feel out of spite). Also as we were leaving, the bartender decided to fling change at us from the bar. I'm completely disappointed and can't believe the undeserved lack of respect received. I will not go back.
