As a local who goes here every year during fall time, I would recommend this to people from 4-5 hours away. Its is so worth the experience. However there are some tips on coming here to make sure it doesn't suck. 1. Dont come on busy days, they have a calendar on their website that shows the best times to visit. 2. Do NOT book online. Please buy them at the gate! Although slightly more expensive, weather is very unpredictable and they will cancel last second and not offer refunds. But besides that its such a fun experience. It pretty good. But pretty good isn't enough to explain $69 ticket. Plus dont forget, theres a $5.00 fee to do their online waiver. So its actually $74 a ticket. Of course if you want to jump the line and go to the front you can upgrade your ticket to the VIP ticket for an additional $30. But know this is a well used option and you will still find yourself in another line. Just a bit shorter. Oh and it's $3.00 for parking. So if you and three of your friends/family want to drive to Scranton PA for some haunted full contact fun and don't mind parting with $407 then Reapers Revenge then maybe its what your looking for. But keep in mind it is full contact and the industry standard for haunted attractions pricing is usually around $45-50 a ticket. Oh plus theres no carnival or any concessions. This place is super fun, and needs to be on everyone's bucket list! I've been here several times with family and friends and have had a great experience every-time. I highly recommend coming as early in the season as possible. #1 it's more enjoyable when you're not freezing to death. #2 the crowds get worse as the season goes on. There is a chart on the website that shows the busy days - use this!! The first time I came, it was late in the season and I stood in line for 3+ hours and was freezing! Since then, I have learned. Also, bring an extra jacket just in case. Everything is outside and it will get colder as the night goes on. As soon as you park, you get out of the car and are greeted with tall trees and eery music. You feel chills as you walk through the archway as "don't fear the reaper" is heard in the distance. You enter the village and wait in line as creepy figures hover around you. You'll board the wagon and I won't spoil it from there. All i will say is that the acting is on point and is very entertaining. They go all-out with everything and bring all the classics while also featuring new scares too. The blackout building and the new section (area 51 or something) is really really fun. The later is very interactive and the actors will touch you but it's so fun! I like to go once every year or two. It's a little expensive but it's worth it for sure. It's 10x better than any other haunted attraction i've ever been to. I went today and was so excited but left kinda unhappy. It wasn't horrible, not worth the money for sure. I had one actor fully SLAP me in my open eye while moving on the hayride. Like, most actors touch you barely when you're moving but he seriously HIT ME!!! I got yelled at for hitting my vape in the open outside but then i saw a worker hit one. When i said something about it they called me a slut. I understand they use vulgar language but a SLUT?? He continued to yell that he was going to come down and whoop my boyfriend's ass. This was at sector 13 and it was the dude standing outside on the balcony thingy. I attended this highly rated attraction in 2019. To summarize, this is an all-around a five star attraction. I think it takes a lot to impress me after all these years, but Reaper's Revenge did the job! Color me impressed! Everything is spot on from cast commitment, to costumes and makeup, to ambiance to special effects and animatronics! In fact, all of us had at least one actual jump scare too (me, several more in truth, especially in Pitch Black). You can opt to not be touched by wearing a glow necklace, or as we like to refer to it, the necklace of shame, but I highly recommend you not be a coward and forego the necklace. Of note, you get wanded as you go into the attraction and they do not allow purses or backpacks or guns or knives or blowtorches or, well, you get the idea. Our adventure started on the haunted hayride and let me just say, this may be the best hayride we've ever been on. It was a full 30 minutes and was very elaborate, theatrical and had large quantities of décor everywhere! The hayride is actually done in two parts as well, as at one point you get off the hayride due to a security violation and then later get back on to enjoy more sights. Next we went into The Lost Carnival, which again was around 30 minutes. The Lost Carnival is a trail that includes old but actual carnival rides like a ferris wheel and a carousel out in the middle of the woods. It was so cool and had a very authentic feel. Again, kudos to the great props and sets, including carnival games and food stands. There was even a fun house that included a very unique 3D clown face wall. Pitch Black was, just as it sounds, complete darkness and you are feeling your way through a maze. There is tons of touching - hands grabbing your legs, hands reaching down and grabbing your head, people standing in front of you at times. There are also lots of blow guns and textures on the walls as you're feeling your way through the darkness - sometimes slimy at times even. Pitch Black is where I had the most jump scares and scare in general. It was absolutely great that they were able to get me several times, as being a 16-year veteran of haunted attractions it's hard to get any scare on me. Finally, you go into Sector 13, a government-like facility. Again, great visuals and sound effects including loud helicopter sounds, flood search lights, and warnings over loudspeakers. The set is amazing with high walls and heavily armed guards. At times we felt disoriented in here too, with fog and bright lights and white screens to navigate through. When we were done, we got some snacks, sat by the fire pit and bandstand and relaxed. I always love when places have these giant fire pits. There was also a trick porta-potty near the fire pit that when you opened the door, inside was a skeleton on a toilet and you got spritzed with water. Great, unexpected addition!! Overall, Reaper's Revenge does a fantastic job and they are more than deserving of this five-star review! read more

We've been wanting to come here for a few years now and finally made the 2 hour drive up there from Philly. We got there and it was cash only. My husband and I had cash but one of our friends didn't so they had to borrow from us. I think the cash only policy should be posted somewhere in bold letters on their website, I don't remember seeing it on there. We went there on a Sunday night rather than a Saturday to try to avoid the big lines. It was somewhat close to Halloween though so it was still labeled as a "moderately" crowded night. The line didn't look too bad but moved really slow. We ended up waiting about an hour in line which is a little longer than I was expecting. You wait in one big line to do everything at once. Other haunted attractions have separate lines to do all the attractions. But I don't think they can do the separate lines the way they have it set up. In the middle of the hayride they have everyone get up and walk out into this shed which was really cool. Then you walk through the carnival area. I really liked this part it had an abandoned Ferris wheel and roller coaster and clowns and they even had some carnival games for you to play. The highlight of the hayride was the ring girl. It looked just like it did in the movie the way she crawled up and contorted her body. I also enjoyed the thriller dance that the monsters did. However, not that many monsters came up and tried to touch me or scare me. They have people that don't want to be touched wear glow necklaces. It seems like the monsters tried to scare them more than anything. My husband said if we go back we should consider getting one to see if the monsters try to scare us more. Overall it was a fun night and it was an experience that stood out from the other haunted houses we've been to. I'm glad we came and this place ranks among the top haunted attractions we've been to, probably in the top 5. We've probably been to at least 20 different haunted attractions. But it is a long drive we wouldn't come every year, but we would consider returning one year once if they change some of the attractions. I would make sure we pick one of the least crowded nights and come earlier in the season though so we don't have to wait in a big line again. We made the drive up to Scranton from the Philly area right after the Eagles game, which turned out to be scarier than Reaper's Revenge. We got to Reaper's Revenge and had to pay $3 to park, which is a little weird, but okay... Entering the gate, Don't Fear the Reaper, played repeatedly as we walked up the path to buy tickets. Note: This place is cash only! Someone in my group didn't have cash and wasn't able to use the ATM either, but I covered the idiot. Anyways, my biggest complaint is that I heavily dislike Haunted Houses, or anything, that doesn't understand Queue management. I just hate having to wait in one incredibly long line to then just do everything at once. They do offer movies, and restrooms, and a weird band while you wait. Once on the Hayride, the production value is pretty impressive. The creature from the Ring was super amazing and talented, but some of the actors didn't even try too hard... I wouldn't call most of them as being "scary", since I'm usually not startled or scared easily, but some mannerisms just weren't there. There are glow necklaces that they give you if you don't want to be touched, but those just attract the monsters to actually try to scare them. It's like a moth to a flame. If I went back, I would 100% consider getting one, to see if they are scarier towards those people or not... Most of the actors were comical as they tried to break up the lines throughout all of the other exhibits. At the end of the night, I thought it was a great evening and one of the better Haunted Attractions once you get to do everything. I've known some other places that have changed their queues so that people don't have to wait in just one line, but I don't think this place can. Reaper's decided to silence me about my experience on their Facebook page by removing my comments and banning me from commenting, so I will come to Yelp to let everyone know of my experience. While my group enjoyed the amount of work that was put into each of these attractions (great animatronics and detail), we had a horrible experience with multiple actors. The Haunted Hayride was full of actors just screaming in people's faces. I had my phone gripped in hand, as I did not want it to slip out of my pocket and fall into the hay in case I was unable to find it (it was dark). One of the female actors jumped on the hayride and tried to forcefully grab my phone right from my hand. She embarrassed herself when it didn't budge because I had a strong grip to it. She then proceeded to scream into my face "PUT YOUR GOD DAMN PHONE AWAY NOW!" and then proceeded to spit on my face. My phone was turned off, so the screen wasn't on and couldn't policy be bothering anybody. When the hayride ended, I was already in a bad mood from being spit on, so I brought this to the attention of one of the employees who was not an actor before we went into the next attraction. He didn't seem to care, said that I shouldn't have an electronic device in my hand regardless and that it was my fault. Lost Carnival and Delirium were good. Didn't have a problem with any of the actors here but the Hayride already had put me in a bad mood. Pitch Black was shoving tons of people in all at once. This attraction was over hyped, it is pitch black (literally) but barely had any scare actors and you are wall to wall with people. There is nothing more to it. Sector 13 was where we had the biggest issue with the actors. Before entering the attraction, we were told by an actor who was standing above us on a platform to line up against the wall. Apparently my group chose the wrong side of the chain link fence because the door to the entrance of the attraction opened towards that side of the wall we went to. The actor screamed at us "ARE YOU GUYS F**KING STUPID? I SAID PUT YOUR F**KING BACKS AGAINST THAT WALL!" No, we aren't stupid, just never had been here before. Another actor who was there in the queue line then grabbed us all and moved us to the other side of the fence. We didn't need to be grabbed, we could have just moved ourselves. If you want people to know where they are going, maybe Reaper's should add SIGNS that tell people that. As we were still going through Sector 13, an actor grabbed one of my friends and directed them through a room which the rest of us weren't allowed into. We decided to step to the side because we were not going to leave one of our friends unattended. One of the female actresses grabbed me by the arm and started pulling me through the attraction, screaming and insisting that I could not wait for my friend. I noticed Reaper's doesn't respond to any poor reviews from bad experiences, which is concerning because they don't seem to care when situations go bad. It is also concerning that my comments from your Facebook page were deleted, which tells me the only comments and reviews that you want people to see are the good ones. We did address our experience with a member of their customer service team who basically told us "We dont care, hopefully you will have a better experience next time." When this is your only response... why would we want to come back here? Most of the reviews here are great, so it's extremely disappointing that we had a horrible experience here. It was Halloween night, 10/31/2021, the last day of the season, so maybe the actors were tired and ready to be done. Regardless, there is no excuse for the way that my friends and I were treated. Save the $69.00 admission ticket and 2 1/2 hour wait time and go to Field of Screams in Lancaster, PA. They don't charge you to park (in the overflow lot), either. read more

Another great example of what a hayride should be. I especially liked the moments of humor added in. It was below freezing the night I attended with the Legendary Haunt Tour and I'm happy to say that they all gave 100%! I absolutely LOVED the heart that the cast put into everything. Their dark carnival was unique and so well put together. I honestly thought the fun house was an actual recovered fun house, since it worked so well. Damn those sliding floors! The clowns in here have really worked out their scares and timing. I adored how it all worked. Pitch Black is a unique place, the boo-holes, the textures on the walls, the way this house is situated is perhaps one of it's best things. You end up getting disoriented and the touches come at the best opportune times. The last house Section 13 has warnings that it can bring about PSTD symptoms. I'm -GLAD- that they put the warning up, because it is needed. For those who suffer due to wartime aggression this house could make it all flare to life. The actors here really do get into their roles. This was a very immersive house. Well done. I have to say that this truly is a very well done Haunt and I hope I'm afforded the chance to check it out again! read more

There are few, if any, better haunted attractions anywhere near central/eastern PA. the entire setup of each part of this attraction is very well done and detailed. With that being said, you will have to wait in quite a long line to get to it all. We waited 2.5 hours to get on the hayride, which starts off your night. All of the attractions are back to back once you get on the hayride. I've heard 2.5 hours is just an average wait time. Tickets were $69/per person with an optional $30 up charge for VIP/fast pass tickets which I strongly recommend purchasing to save the long wait times. The haunted experience last for roughly 90 minutes from start to finish and was well worth the price and wait. Food stands were pretty good and fairly priced. Would recommend overall. read more

I have visited this attraction for multiple years in the past. I visited in 2018, 2019, 2020 and it was absolutely amazing. Hence, why I continued to go year after year. But things have changed... I went back to Reapers Revenge in 2022 and it was nothing like it used to be in the past. They don't offer any glow sticks anymore to stop people from touching which is fine. We get on the hay ride and throughout the whole ride there were hardly any actors/actresses. There were maybe four parts of the hayride that had workers. The actors/actresses were not even close to good or scary. Then one of the workers tried snatching my sisters phone out of her hands because she was taking our picture. It was not a fun or good experience for any of us. Let me just tell you that I will not be going back to this place as they do not deserve my money. Then, to put the cherry on top of it all they up'ed the price about $20-30. Paid 59$ after using a 10$ coupon. It was an awful experience. Been to quite a few haunts between PA and NJ and Reaper's is probably the best, so any claims they make are pretty much supported. The atmosphere is set well in a forest setting, the actors take their roles serious, the staff make it as creepy as possible, and there are legit scary moments. Now, the attraction is divided into four parts; last time I went it was only three. Each portion is approximately thirty minutes each, so for the price you're getting a good value. Yes it is very interactive but that's understandable considering the attraction. However, the actors might be so into their roles they can get a little jerky and rough. Lines can be dumb long too, but that's to be expected. Will be going again tomorrow on Halloween because I haven't seen Sector 13 yet. Pretty excited!!! read more

The atmosphere settings were something out of the movies, aka Friday the 13th. The Hayride was so amazing and the new Ring set up was "Breathtaking " and the new sets couldn't get any better espically Alice in.wonderland set.The Freddy Krueger scene was straight out of the movies..Now for you thrill seekers I put this place over The Darkness in ST Louis Missouri and yes I said this. My HELL-oween 365 group said this a must travel destination from any state! Guys the walk through is so entertaining that's never a dull second. The fear factor is amazing. I visited in October 2017. Overall, I had fun and this haunt has some aspects unique that I have never seen before at other haunts. I am a haunted attraction junkie and we drove little over 5 hours to see Reaper's Revenge. This place has been insanely hyped over the years. I would have to say this was more entertaining over scary. Which is not a bad thing just know what to expect. Yes, they had some scary factor but I was more amused/entertained. The actors were top notch for what they do especially for such a relatively new haunt. Some scenes were simply phenomenal that it was worth driving the 5 hours just to see two in particular especially to see a good friends reaction to one particular one. The sets were awesome like I said you will be stimulated the entire time and since this is in the middle of no where the hayride was awesome as you can see so many stars and the outline of mountains which made it especially memorable. The staff was especially friendly and respectful here which I was grateful for as I was one of the few minorities that attended. The people that live in that area were also very loving/caring which was great to experience. Overall, I would rate this place a 4/5. Since it is so far from me not sure if it is worth returning again. I just felt this place was a little too hyped by reading reviews and blogs from other haunt fanatics. Field of Screams near Lancaster is still my favorite haunts in PA and worth the 2.5+ hour drive from me. We stayed near by at the Camelot Inn which was really clean and wonderful experience in itself. read more

I'm a haunted house fanatic. I've visited many, but Reaper's is the best haunted attraction I've ever been to! As soon as you pull up, the atmosphere is spooky and foggy with creatures lurking around waiting to scare you. There is a hayride and 3 other haunted houses. We went on a moderately busy night but we bought VIP passes in advanced and only waited about 10 minutes in line for the hayride. The hayride, set in the woods, was scary and the production and theatrics was top notch. The acting is incredible and the actors always stay in character and do a great job. They are also allowed to touch and grab you making for a terrifying experience. I felt like I was in a horror movie. The hayride dropped us off at the first haunted house, Lost carnival, where demented clowns lurk everywhere. The tunnel of love had me terrified. Next was pitch black. Unlike other black out mazes, this one is very detailed and plays on all your senses. Uneven flooring, tight narrow hallways, wierd textures on the walls, and actors grabbing at your feet in complete darkness as you try to make your way out. Not for the faint of heart. Finally, sector 13 had a bit of a line but moved very quickly. This one was very interactive with zombies waiting to grab you at every turn. The houses all lasted a good length and we finished everything in about 1.5 hrs. Overall, Reaper's had me terrified from beginning to end. Definitely worth the money and long drive to get here. I love love LOVED reapers revenge this year! It was the most fun I've had in a while! Me and my boyfriend arrived at approx 6:30pm, quickly parked in the parking lot directed by a parking attendant which cost $3 additional dollars. We had online general admission tickets. When we got there the atmosphere was so cool with all the creepy actors walking around interacting with people by taking pictures and such! We took a photo at the famous photo op and then browsed the shop for about 10 min for some cool hoodies which were decently priced. We then got in the GA line... we were in line for about 3 hours as we ended up actually boarding the haunted hay ride at about 9:45pm (keep in mind it was "red day" on a Saturday, so we were expecting a long wait. I'm not really sure how much faster VIP tickets would be as I never got them before. Our whole experience at reapers was just breathtaking! My favorite was the hunted carnival. If you like all things spooky like me, take a trip down!!! read more

I would really like to give zero stars. My boyfriend and I waited in line for four hours until we got on the hayride. The hayride was not that scary, but the carnival was. Once we got through the carnival somewhere something broke down and caused us to wait in the woods for at least an hour. It very quickly became a waste of money. I would NEVER go back. Went on Saturday (Oct 12th) so we expected long lines and a big crowd. Parking isn't bad, it's in a non-paved field. Tickets were $45 for basic all 4 attractions but after the wait (4 hours!) it hardly seemed worth it. The employees were not very helpful on what the issues were and were downright rude when we wanted to know how long it would be until the hayride was back up and running. Obviously with a 4 hour wait the crowd was getting restless and the employees did not offer much in the way of information or help. Out of all the haunted attractions in this area, Reaper's Revenge has some of the rudest non-actor employees. The hayride and attraction itself was well done. At the point in the night/morning (it was Sunday morning until we actually got on the hayride) some of the actors seemed a little worn down and were definitely not putting their best effort forward. The props were pretty impressive and a lot of time has gone into the prep of this haunt. From start to finish (once we started the hayride) it was a solid hour and a half to finish everything. For the attraction itself i'll give 4 starts for customer service I wish I could give none. read more

I know what you're thinking, "This city pansy boy doesn't know smack!" And on most counts you're probably right, but not on this one bud. The hayride will automatically put you on my side of opinion as the scare level is pushed to max from the start. There are 3 LENGTHY HAUNTED HOUSES and they are all connected. PITCH BLACK was my favorite and it will ruin your senses and hopefully your sleep. The staff was very kind, and the actors were extremely dedicated and great at their roles. My friends and I had an awesome time. Reapers revenge was top tier and saved our Halloween even with the pandemic going on and we now want to make going there a tradition :) even at the very end just after it closed, we were attempting to get an Uber back to our Airbnb but for some reason it wasn't working and there were no drivers around, an actor saw us struggling and drove us all the way to our Airbnb, an absolute sweetheart! I'm going to provide a somewhat mixed and dissident review. I want to be even keeled about this as much as I can, figuring the best way to do this would be to have a pros and cons list. So here goes. Pros -Location is absolutely beautiful and sprawling -Hayride is organized well -The owners force a you have "to wait a bit here" in order to keep the experience feeling personal and spooky and not as if you were being herded like the field of cows sitting nearby -Theatrical value and production is high, really high -Actors are really attentive and in their mode when playing on the fears of patrons and focused at times on individuals to give them a real fright of an experience -Security enforced a no cut rule -The experience was potentially all age friendly up to even as young as 5 years old -There was a real entertainment and fun factor to the attraction vs. pure uneasy terror. All in all if you are a haunted house/Halloween nut like we are, we're actually thinking of running down to Orlando to visit the one down there that everyone is talking about. Reaper's Revenge is a must go to. However it has no return factor for us like Bane, Eastern State, or Field of Terror near Princeton. Here are the cons that knocked this attraction down a bit for us. #1 -Absolute WORST VIP experience ever at any Halloween attraction that we've ever been to. Purchasing a VIP pass, that is essentially 75% on top of the cost of the ticket gets you in a VIP line. In order to get this ticket you have to wait on a rather long line rather than getting the full VIP experience of being able to jump straight to the line the way that you can with a regular online purchase of a regular ticket. Instead of being shuffled to the very front of the the start of the events of which there are 4, you actually have to sit on the VIP line - it was a busy night I suppose and we waited 30 minutes. Furthermore there was an overlot for car parking which I failed to mention that was an hour long wait. So VIP access buys access to a 90 minutes worth of lines. So if you didn't purchase VIP tickets as we did the entire wait for the event was 4-5 hours in total counting the wait for the bus to get you from parking to the event. In all the lines every last living cigarette smoker and tobacco dip/chewer/spitter left alive in the Northeast congregated. I repeatedly watched a dude that dipped standing behind us spit tobacco on the ground as evidenced by the brown stains on his Timberlands. Maybe I'm getting older and not used to being in the muck but there are some trashy Mo-Fo's down in Penssatucky. LMAO. You would think that Camo and Realtree were hitting the runways of Milan hard this fall season. Again maybe I exaggerate slightly just to highlight how many smokers and people spitting chewing tobacco everywhere but that's not something that I'm accustomed to anymore and neither was it far from the truth. Without revealing anything, I have to say that some of the attractions were novel and spectacular and some were just ok. There was a very high level of theatrical production and effort put into most of this. They could have used: More crowd warmers Concession stands spread around more places A separate VIP/Will call pickup/line for tickets Personal plastic tarps so as to not get someone else's dip on your kicks. read more

This place was worth every penny! The actors do an amazing job and all of the props are all Hollywood quality! The hayride is the most incredible thing ever as they have transformed many acres of woods into a Halloween wonderland! This place didn't disappoint and we are so glad we made the long drive. The total scares are about 90 mins and we waited in different lines for about an hour in total. Even if the wait ends up longer, trust me it is worth it (or buy vip to shorten your wait times). read more

I had a great time last weekend at reapers, Quality scares!!!! The cast are truly in character all the time. Even when you're not scared they make you feel uncomfortable in your own skin. Get there early because it is very popular definitely worth the wait. When you think it's over it's not it just keeps going and going. One suggestion is after you get off the hayride and are done with the interrogation it got really bottlenecked and we had to wait in the dark in the woods. I felt bad for the actors there they didn't know what to do with us. Other than that it was an awesome time highly recommend it! read more

My family drives well over an hour during the season to come here! The lines are kind of long but it is well worth the wait. Quality sets and actors who never break character, it's like Haunters Christmas! 10/10 I love it here! They take their jobs seriously and aim to please and impress. I had high expectations based on other friend's recommendations, and I will say they were met. To sum it up: it was absolutely worth every dollar spent. I don't want to give too much away, so I'll make notes in regards to logistics. I went with 8 other people and we were all generally able to stick together through all three attractions. We were split up every once in a while, but overall we are able to get caught up. If you want to avoid long lines, make sure to check out the website's calendar indicating the anticipated crowd size. VIP tickets sound like a rip off. I would not pay an extra $25. If you want to avoid long lines, PLAN AHEAD, get your tickets in advance, and get there at dusk! We went on a Friday night, and got there as early as possible to avoid waiting in long lines. We all purchased our tickets online to skip the ticket booth. We arrived around 7:30. The gates opened within minutes of our arrival, with ~hundred people already lined up. I think we waited in line about an hour. The website says that it takes around 75 - 90 minutes to go through all of the attractions, but it was WAY longer. It took us about 2 and half hours. I think this is due to waiting in lines for the attractions, but they moved pretty quickly. Only other note I want to make is about the Pitch Black attraction: if you are claustrophobic, you should skip this one. You're walking down narrow hallways with lots of twists and turns in mostly pitch black (duh), where you end up landing in small rooms. It's a bit unnerving---especially if you get stuck behind a crowd that can't figure their way out. That happened a couple times. Other than that, I will say the production and sets were remarkable. The costuming and make up with awesome as well. They truly make the investment to provide their audience with a high quality experience. I will be back next year! read more

Love reapers. It's such a fun time. Great attractions. But the wait to get in is just way to long for the amount you pay.

Great Halloween fun! I recommend the VIP passes so you don't have to wait for hours in line- worth the extra price. Great hayride that was very long- you actually get two rides, in and out. Pitch Black was the best!! Not for the faint of heart, though. You will be touched, grabbed, and part of the entertainment unless you wear a glow necklace(which I personally don't recommend). We traveled over two hours to visit Reaper's and it was worth the drive! read more
