As a local who goes here every year during fall time, I would recommend this to people from 4-5 hours away. Its is so worth the experience. However there are some tips on coming here to make sure it doesn't suck. 1. Dont come on busy days, they have a calendar on their website that shows the best times to visit. 2. Do NOT book online. Please buy them at the gate! Although slightly more expensive, weather is very unpredictable and they will cancel last second and not offer refunds. But besides that its such a fun experience. Sure it is a little pricey which is kind of too much but when you think about how your supporting a family owned business and the local area it counts for it.

I've been here 4 different times and I must say hands down It's #1 for a reason!!! I can't wait to see new ideas of how to scare the living piss out of me again! P.S. the magician is amazing!

Love reapers. It's such a fun time. Great attractions. But the wait to get in is just way to long for the amount you pay.

In fact, all of us had at least one actual jump scare too (me, several more in truth, especially in Pitch Black).

I'd give 0 stars if I could. I worked here and tried my best to do a good job and even volunteered…read morea lot of my own time and energy as well as my husband and my children. One day last year I came to work ready to scare and in a great mood when one of the actors that have been there for years approached me as we were waiting to get our makeup done and informed me that my husband was acting inappropriately with some of the other actors the previous night, and I was obviously shocked and confused.. So I was trying to figure out what exactly was going on as quietly as possible even though I heard everyone whispering and pointing at me and then one actor that I knew personally started telling everyone loudly about how my husband always cheated on me and how she wasn't surprised if he was again etc. (nice friend right?) so by that time my husband walked into the makeup room and I asked him what was going on and in the heat of the moment and given his past of cheating, I slapped him... not my best moment. Once everything was said and done, we figured out afterwards that it was all a big misunderstanding by one of the seasoned actors and my so called friend made it 10 times worse by telling everyone our business. It was done and over with and everyone let it go, including my husband considering he married me this past March. Fast forward to this season, we helped build the haunt as much as possible with working etc. but every time I was around our boss he treated me differently and I just felt like he didn't like me or want me around. I tried to brush it off and continued to come up with my husband and help out however I could, but when someone doesn't like you, especially your boss it's not something you can brush off or ignore. I decided to confront him on Facebook messenger because I didn't want to feel uncomfortable for the entire season because I couldn't do my best job in that state of mind. Well he completely dismissed everything I said and made it about where he put me in the haunt, making it look like I just didn't want to be outside in the rain etc when that's not what it was about at all. So I felt like I had no other choice but to quit and my family told me that if he wasn't going to resolve whatever issue he had with me before opening that they would have to leave also (they are my husband and my son so of course they weren't happy with how I was being treated) but our boss accused me of "acting like a victim for no good reason and forcing my family to quit" but after I did quit he finally admitted that "People would be more welcoming to me if I didn't cause so much drama last year and slap one of his employees and friends" So he has been holding a grudge since last year and I guess I was just supposed to continue to work there and feel uncomfortable and unwanted all season?? There is no HR department to talk to... If you do work here don't rub the management the wrong way or you will be shunned for life -shrug- I miss scaring people and the great actors I worked with

The YouTube videos looked great and tickets were purchased. After our pre-haunt meal we arrived. The place was lit up nicely, creepy music playing. The actor who gave the instructions was on point, he was creepy, funny and into the festivities that awaited us. So this is by no means a bad review, however, there was just not enough actors to deliver scares. The sets were fantastic, using all the standard fare that all the great places use. That being said, again, just not enough actors within the haunt. We walked through several scenes without seeing an actor. For the price of the tickets (which are on par with much larger places like Penhurst Asylum and East State Penitentiary) Hotel of Horror just does not stack up with the big boys. Would we return? Probably not, for the money, would most likely return to one of the big boys!!!

Open rain or shine with a covered wait line and free parking. Don't let the weather scare you. That's our job! Our revamped ticketing process gives you less time in line and more time in the attraction. It's mostly a haunted pavilion and dirt bike trail.)The beginning was great. The house, amazing. The plywood maze pavilion thing, really cool. The woods, absolutely horrible. My daughter fell In ankle deep mud 3 times. A $200 pair of sneakers pretty much destroyed. And honestly that's not even why I think it was terrible. When I decided to use a flashlight for mine and my daughter's safety because the worst, deepest mud WAS NOT LIT AT ALL, an employee yells out, "Put your flashlight away, the trail is well lit, you don't need it. Only P*****s need flashlights". that whole interaction was wrong on multiple levels. Will never come back and share my experience whenever appropriate.
