That was until September 5, 2023.   I went to the store initially for a few pastries & juice, but Arizona doesn't have many squeezed juice selections. Not the end of the world.   After paying for my items & beginning to exit the store, I avoided bumping into one of the employees by sidestepping the woman entering the store without breaking stride. Apparently, my footwork infuriated the woman, similar to how angry Prince Naseem Hamed's opponents would become watching him effortlessly glide across the ring. The woman then channeled her now-found anger into words & told me to never come back again. Mind you, this is at 5 a.m., when the store was full of working professionals purchasing hydration supplies for the forthcoming desert heat. Thinking I misheard the woman, I replied "Excuse me"? To which her retort was to accuse me of stealing. I asked if the accusation stemmed from the fact that I am of African descent, & the woman said it was based on me leaving the store.   I would imagine this is how shopping at the Richmond, Virginia, Circle K was back in 1856. Fortunately, times have somewhat changed, & I can't be turned into Strange Fruit for simply walking out of a store. At least not openly or in civilized company.   Circle K will never get another penny out of me.   Overall, this place is a bit more complex; the racist woman wasn't black, and most of the other employees here are respectful. Keyword most. There are other locations that value not only your business but will also treat you in a respectful manner. However, Arizona seems to have a racist underbelly, & historically, convenience stores have been a breeding ground for "accidents."   As you can see from my other reviews, I have not had the most pleasant experiences lately. However! At great personal risk to myself, I write these reviews based on my experience so that others will benefit from the experiences that I have. But always do your own research!

I was surprised by the low price of Taquitos from the roller grill, just 3 for $3. They weren't bad, but inconsistent ... some crunchy and some soft. Plus, I think they were mislabeled. My steak Taquito was filled with potatoes, not steak. I may be back for a Slurpee, but will be pressed for other food items.
